We were out of town visiting friends and I needed my child's prescription transferred from our local pharmacy to this one. My child takes their med 4x a day. I called as soon as we got in town which was 3 days before I actually got the med. I waited over 45 mins to even give the med for the transfer. Then everytime I called I was put on hold for 10 mins or more and hung up on twice. When I picked my medicine up it was the last day before we were to leave and they were rude. I'm so glad that I won't have to come back here again. The customer service was horrible and I feel bad for the locals here. One of the worst Walgreens I've ever been to. read more

I came into this Walgreens this past weekend to pick up an internet order for photos. I was a little hesitant to come to this Walgreens because of the low reviews and was instead thinking of heading over to the Walgreens in Santa Maria. I went here anyway, because it's closer to Vandenberg AFB, and because there wasn't much to lose in this situation. Although, now that I look at the reviews here, it shows there's only one review total for the Walgreens so it doesn't really mean much. The only thing which would cause me to go to the Walgreens in Santa Maria is that their photo center is open 24 hours so you'd get your prints faster. I wasn't in any rush. When I arrived at this Walgreens, there was plenty of parking, and it was easy to find. I walked inside to find a super clean store with everything in place. The photo center was open, and my prints were ready when they said they would be. Checking out was easy, and I could have been in and out of the store in less than five minutes. Except, I wanted to walk around and see if I wanted to buy anything. :D Great store! read more

Was told my prescription would be ready by 4p. Was told they close at 7p. I kept checking if it was ready and it wasn't, finally at 6:40p telephone prompt said it was ready. I raced over there (sick) and got to the front door at 6:58p. They stopped me at the front door and said they are closed. I had them look at the clock and with annoyance they said "ok go ahead". I went to the pharmacy and the shutters were were already locked closed and the worker was walking his drawer to the back. VERY UPSET. PEOPLE ARE SICK. DO NOT CLOSE EARLY EVEN IF ITS 2 min. This Walgreens pharmacy is ridiculously slow. We were going to wait in line in the store for the pharmacy and the girl in front of us said she had not moved for 1/2 hour. Then, the gal behind after I asked her if it is always like this, she responded, that there is always a long slow line. She commented that they need more staff and do not add staff. So..we went outside and there were four cars in front of us and it took 45 minutes to get to the window. We were there for a pickup only that we had been notified that it was ready. The service should be better than this. BTW, it looks like there are not very good reviews for this pharmacy.. Absolute worst Walgreens I have ever had the misfortune to do business with. The Management does not respond to costumer service issues. The Pharmacy lines can be over an hour long. They mess up billing. They have have been overheard talking about customers. ( does this violate HIPA possibly?) The pharmacy staff is rude. Calls to the pharmacy can last well over 15 minutes. Please manage your pharmacy drive thru. From what I understand it's supposed to be express. Every time I come to pick up my prescription at least one person waits 1 hour in the line for their prescription. This cause at huge back up or line. Your technicians need to tell them to drive through to the end of the line or let them know they will get a call when it's ready and they can come back then. This will allow the patrons who know their prescriptions are ready to use the drive through in 10 or less. EXPEDITE!! read more

Had to go back today because I wasn't given my full Rx, or an explanation about why they withheld the rest. That awful woman was there again, of course, and took a few minutes to acknowledge me as expected. When she finally did, she asked if I was dropping off, and I said, "Actually, I need the rest of..." That's all I was able to get out before she lost interest and started talking to another employee about the computer. I stood there, amazed for a second. I looked at the two people waiting for their prescriptions and said, "This is the worst pharmacy ever." One of them said, "Believe it or not, CVS is even worse. At least this place has somewhere for you to sit while you're waiting." Then another man came up and waited for a few minutes. After he started showing frustration, I said, "I know, they don't even acknowledge you." He agreed. Finally a male employee asked if the man had been helped, he said no. I looked at him in amazement, I was first! The woman - whose name is Lisa, I was told - went straight to the man, asking after a moment if we were together. No. Of course we're not. He arrived ten minutes after me. She abandoned that guy and started to lean against the counter with her back to me, chatting with her coworkers. The man handed his Rx to the male employee, who took it and began to process it. I stepped forward and said to Lisa, "Can I finish answering your question now?" She raised her eyebrow at me and said, "Yeah. Go 'head." I started to explain that the Rx I picked up recently was incomplete and handed her my receipt. She looked at it and read my name out loud, saying, "Why does that sound familiar?" BECAUSE I WAS JUST HERE. She looked at her computer and insisted that I should have only gotten what I was given. The male employee could see that her attitude was becoming an issue, so he stepped in and she gladly wandered away. He was courteous and well informed, and even though he didn't tell me what I wanted to hear, he was much more professional. He gave me Lisa's name and I left. I have never used Walgreens for their pharmacy and decided I would since I recently moved to Lompoc. I got my prescription sent there and went a few hours to pick it up. After waiting 40 mins in line, they retrieved my prescription and they asked for my insurance card. I handed them my card which I've used for 10+ years to get all the prescriptions I've ever needed. The lady took one look at it and says "this doesn't say your name on it." I looked at her dumbfounded and said "yes, my dad is the policy holder" she looked at her coworker and said "is this a problem" I was so confused. I've literally had a medical procedure done and used this card. She then proceeded to tell me I couldn't use the card since it wasn't a "pharmacy card". I have no idea what she is talking about, all I've ever used is this card and I have a PPO, I've never had any other card. She then proceeded to say "since you don't have insurance, you'll have to pay out of pocket" what is she talking about??!! She was looking at my insurance card!! I called my doctor right then and had him send it to CVS. Never using Walgreens pharmacy again. read more

I just took a passport photo at this store. DO NOT get your passport photos taken here! Their photos are the worst quality! I understand you are not allowed to smile or have any facial expression, but that has nothing to do with the poor quality of the output of the photo. They use a digital camera which must be of the lowest quality. My pics came out over-glossy and grainy. A wasted $16.30 for some pics I will not be using, and will have to take over elsewhere. Aside from the associate who helped me, some of the staff were not customer-friendly when I asking to get help with passport photos. If you are going to have an attitude about doing passport photos, then do not offer that service at your store! I will say that other times I have patronized this store, the staff is usually customer-friendly. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would to the incompetent Pharmacy Technicians. I am an out of town visitor and needed a Covid test. Looked on line scheduled a test. Saw results would be ready 24-48 hrs. This is a standard PCR test used for travel. Got my test Thurs 3/10 and the lab has yet to receive the test. (SAT 3/12@1030PM) DO NOT GO THERE FOR ANY COVID TESTING. I should have know.... first off the wait in the drive thru was horrible. The technician Joseph could not find my name on the schedule. I asked him if he needed my ID for the test, he said no, then proceded to ask me to spell my last name. Finally after some time he found it. He told me someone would be with me shortly. A girl arrived and preceded to try to explain the test. It was as if it was her first time. She did not have any info printed on the bio hazard bag, like name or registration number. I was so confused. I called the Pharmacy today and was rudely told that the lab normally doesn't get the tests until like 4 - 5 days. They didn't even ask for a name or registration number. Seriously! Good thing I didn't need it for a travel doc. So angry for myself and other people. I realize that it's hard to get good help now a days. But people handing things as important as COVID test should be trained to do so. The individuals that worked with me definitely weren't trained. I hope the store manager reads this and puts some protocols into place. I will also be contacting the Santa Barbara County Health Dept. And let them know. read more

This is being addressed to Rowena, in my experience with walgreens, they have been "cracking" down on shoppers that have multiple accounts. The fraud division, has encountered that many people make purchases that is over and beyond regular household usage. They have also found that some of these people choose to resell the merchandise out of their home. I feel that it is not good practice to do this because of health and quality reasons. I am in no way saying that this is your case, but maybe you can understand why this manager cancelled your sale. All Walgreens employees are under a great amount or pressure to try and keep products stocked for customers and to assist in the covid vaccination process. Plus the associates are always under the threat of getting covid 19 while doing their jobs. Walgreens used Bots that make it difficult to ask a simple question about if they have something in stock so you don't waist time going into the store if they don't have it in stock. It's hard to get past the Bots because the bots just keep repeating that "I'm sorry, I didn't catch that. If they cared about customers and employees, they would make everyones life a lot easier if they lost the frustrating Bots that cannot understand what a human is saying and they would add one more employee who can answer calls. I won't give Corporations business if they use Bots. Not worth my time or my day. read more

Just recently changed over to CVS. Pharmacy manager's policy of refilling 30 day prescription on day 29 is a joke. Pharmacy manager puts notes on your account that only he can override and he's there sporadically. Had a prescription filled on March 22 and he put can pick up refill on April 21 which by my count is day 31. Had used it mainly for the drive through but that takes even longer than waiting inside. If you wait inside and are in line, they'll skip you to take a drive through customer that just pulled up even though you've been there 10 minutes. read more

Absolutely do not recommend this pharmacy. Every time I come here the line (inside and out) always takes way too long and they don't fill the medication when promised. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Tonight was my last straw with this place and I've been getting prescriptions from them for years. My son has croup and the flu pretty bad and needed a couple prescriptions. A few hours after sending the order in they call me and say they are ready for pickup. So, I put my sick son in the car who wants nothing to do with leaving the house to go get them. We arrive at the drive thru and wait 25 minutes (we are 3rd in line), only to get there and have them tell me that only 1 is ready and to come back for the other one in an hour. Why do they call when they aren't completely filled?! So I go home and wait an hour with no phone call. I call the automated line and they say it's still being filled and to call back. So I decided to actually speak with a human being. After waiting on the phone for quite a while I got someone who tells me "oh yeah it's ready, just needs to be signed off." Sooo, why did the automated thing tell me to call back but you say otherwise? I was pretty furious at this point. I put my sick son back in the car, drive all the way back down there, got the meds and left. That will be my last visit. read more

I only have one star bc I had to in order to leave a review but they honestly deserve none! I've never dealt with a group of individuals that were more rude or incompetent than the pharmacist' at this pharmacy. They "lose" prescriptions. Don't fill them when they say they are. And then become combative when you complain. I go to pick up 3 prescriptions & Gio tries to convince me that I only have two. After advising him otherwise multiple times I tell him he needs to find my third prescription. His response "I'm not gonna look for something that's not there". He proceeds to ask the pharmacist who finds my prescription. He then proceeds to tell me my insurance doesn't cover my prescription. They've been covering it for a year now. He then turns around & slams the medicine on the counter as he goes back to his computer. I can't believe these people are allowed to treat people this way. read more

Walgreens is by far the worst pharmacy! They staff is burned out due to the short staffing is what I was told. It took 4hrs and 45 min. To get 6 of the 8 prescriptions I needed for my daughter! This includes several phone calls and being disconnected twice showing up to pick up prescriptions after being told they were ready showing up and only 3 were ready then having to waiting 1hr and 45 min. They tried to tell me they had to call the dr for some of the prescriptions yet was a lie because I explained I got them last month and their was a years worth of refills and then all of a sudden they appeared. To top it off they ran rx's only threw Our secondary insurance which means they didn't go towards our deductible of our primary. This is only a portion of the terrible experience! I have been filling my daughters meds at Walgreen's for years. In the beginning they were quick and had great customer service. The past 6 months they have changed. One of the meds I get every month they no longer have it in stock and takes a week to order. But cant turn the prescription in until 3 days before she runs out so she would be out of her meds for 4 days. I dont understand why they quit carrying it when I got it every month. Also takes forever to get someone on the phone. Today I waited 36 minutes to be told I was put on the overflow line that they cant answer but was some how answered. I have been a Walgreen customer for years and have always enjoyed the high quality of service I have received whether through the pharmacy or general store. I recently moved to the Lompoc area and transferred my household prescriptions to our local Walgreens. I have had nothing but issues every time I needed to fill a prescription. I usually use the automated system for refills and so far they have failed the last 4 times I have attempted to fill my prescriptions. There has been two occasions now where I spoke to a live member of the pharmacy team and they reassured me that my prescriptions would be ready at a given time and there were not . I was forced on one occasion to drive 35 minutes to the Santa Maria Walgreens just to have one of these prescriptions filled for my epileptic dog. (The Santa Maria Walgreens was wonderful and I wish they were closer to my home) The Lompoc Walgreen's had failed to refill her medicine over a weeks time of several request and delays! After half a dozen attempts to work with this Walgreens I have given up. I am now looking to change my pharmacy. I would not recommend this particular Walgreens to anyone. read more

Worst Walgreens I have ever shopped at! Had manufacture coupons and was going to use the monthly booklet and they told me I couldn't use both, when it doesn't state that in the coupon policy!
