First off, HotGuy1987, who was here at about 1:30p Saturday 07/29. Yes, they should stagger their lunches, in fact, it is recommended. But if they all go simultaneously they are supposed to clear the customers first. You were in the right, as someone who has worked in retail for decades, this was poor customer service. After you left one of them went up to the front to complain about the "Dumb Steroid Guy" who didn't believe they should take lunch like everyone else gets too. With that said, this is the worst CVS in Nashville, to the point that I had forgotten that until I was looking at the makeup section and this beeping kept going off. I was not touching or moving anything and it just kept beeping. I thought for sure it wasn't me, so I moved away and the beeping stopped. Then I moved back and it started again. I often forget with all the rich people that moved into my neighborhood that Nashville/Madison still sucks. They were just somehow convinced to move here when they are immediately in danger anywhere they go. Why I continued to shop when I immediately could tell it was going to be a bad experience I'll never know. CVS doesn't deserve my money, I work too hard for it to give it to a place that treats its customers like a woodland forest they need to chop down to get those ridiculous receipts. When I was ready to check out, there was nobody anywhere to be found. I decided to try my hand at the never functioning properly self-checkout. Each item wouldn't register that I'd put it in the bag. I had to press down on the sensor manually with each item. In hindsight, I should have just walked out with the merchandise, when I walked out the door kept beeping for me along with the person that walked out in front of me. All this store does is beep and NOBODY cares. Walk in with a bag(because there are NO BASKETS) load it up and leave, and you'll be fine. To whoever is in charge of this CVS, your employees don't care enough to check on someone in the "beep" section, you can calm down and turn that thing off. Also, get some baskets for this place, I'm not pushing a cart around a CVS, and your employee who didn't understand the concept of a basket can also probably be let go. She looked at me like I asked her if she knew who my mother was, I only get that puzzled look when I ask something crazy like that. Do yourself a favor, skip this one, and drive a little ways to a better location.

The store, while it underwent a branding update, is essentially the same store with the same layout and offerings. I sometimes swing in here before or after the gym, usually for a drink. Selection is hit and miss, mainly because stock is inconsistent. Gas prices are competitive for the area, not the cheapest, but not the most expensive. Cleanliness and condition need some attention. And service is "meh" at best. Convenient location, but not a pleasurable experience stopping by.

Today (12/23/24), I went to this store #4703950 with my girlfriend to buy candy and a drink. While…read morewe were in line, a homeless man in front of us was trying to buy coffee. He had change in his hand and was getting ready to pay when John, the "store assistant," gave him a demeaning look and asked where he got his money. Disgusted, I asked John why that mattered and told the man to grab whatever he wanted from the store, and I'd pay for it. John didn't like that. He refused to let the man take anything more and only allowed him to leave with the coffee and donuts he already had, giving them free of charge just to stop me from paying for him. Then, John refused to sell anything to me or my girlfriend. He set our candy and drink aside and wouldn't let us buy them. The customers behind us tried to pay for our stuff, but John wouldn't let them do that either. Then, he refused to sell them the alcohol they were trying to buy. The customers walked out, cussing him out (rightfully so), and John cussed them out in return. When we asked John for his badge or ID number, he refused to give it to us. His badge says "store assistant," but he claimed he was the manager and said he didn't care if we reported him because he'd been there 7-8 years and everything is recorded. It's two days before Christmas, and John treated the homeless man with pure disgust and hatred. His behavior was heartless, mean-spirited, and petty. What kind of store allows someone like this to represent them? This is exactly the kind of behavior that destroys any faith in a business.

The Downtown Nashville Walgreens…read more In my estimation, this is the one and only Walgreens in Downtown Nashville that is accessible to Broadway. Disparate from other Walgreens that I am familiar with in major tourist centers, this location is underwhelming for alcohol and souvenirs. With regards to this review, I am using "The Daniel. S Yelp Real Time Feature" where I write from my first-hand journaling experience. "June 24, 2025: We are bound for Walgreens. Walking through the Assembly Food Hall we cut off some of the uphill climb up John Lewis Way that is bothering Dad's knees. Now walking up John Lewis Way we are passing by the historic Woolworth Theater and what looks like a Theater District. At the crest of the hill, we step inside the only downtown Nashville Walgreens. At least the only one I am familiar with near Broadway. This store is "blah" in comparison to the Walgreens that I am familiar with in major cities such as Las Vegas, Chicago, San Francisco, and Denver. Their Nashville caps are overpriced and fail to strike me. They fail to carry the bullet beer (24 ounce cans) that I want to pick up for the hotel room. However, they have cold beverages and snacks that my Dad and Brother are buying. I am headed to Starbucks for my beverage. Toi, who rings up my Dad and Brother, is a friendly and personable Cashier. When we return to the what looks like a Theater District along John Lewis Way, being empty handed of purchases allows me to photograph the Woolworth Theater." My "Real Time Yelp First-hand Feature" elucidates that the Downtown Nashville Walgreens deserves Three Stars.
