First off, HotGuy1987, who was here at about 1:30p Saturday 07/29. Yes, they should stagger their lunches, in fact, it is recommended. But if they all go simultaneously they are supposed to clear the customers first. You were in the right, as someone who has worked in retail for decades, this was poor customer service. After you left one of them went up to the front to complain about the "Dumb Steroid Guy" who didn't believe they should take lunch like everyone else gets too. With that said, this is the worst CVS in Nashville, to the point that I had forgotten that until I was looking at the makeup section and this beeping kept going off. I was not touching or moving anything and it just kept beeping. I thought for sure it wasn't me, so I moved away and the beeping stopped. Then I moved back and it started again. I often forget with all the rich people that moved into my neighborhood that Nashville/Madison still sucks. They were just somehow convinced to move here when they are immediately in danger anywhere they go. Why I continued to shop when I immediately could tell it was going to be a bad experience I'll never know. CVS doesn't deserve my money, I work too hard for it to give it to a place that treats its customers like a woodland forest they need to chop down to get those ridiculous receipts. When I was ready to check out, there was nobody anywhere to be found. I decided to try my hand at the never functioning properly self-checkout. Each item wouldn't register that I'd put it in the bag. I had to press down on the sensor manually with each item. In hindsight, I should have just walked out with the merchandise, when I walked out the door kept beeping for me along with the person that walked out in front of me. All this store does is beep and NOBODY cares. Walk in with a bag(because there are NO BASKETS) load it up and leave, and you'll be fine. To whoever is in charge of this CVS, your employees don't care enough to check on someone in the "beep" section, you can calm down and turn that thing off. Also, get some baskets for this place, I'm not pushing a cart around a CVS, and your employee who didn't understand the concept of a basket can also probably be let go. She looked at me like I asked her if she knew who my mother was, I only get that puzzled look when I ask something crazy like that. Do yourself a favor, skip this one, and drive a little ways to a better location.

However, over the past two years the convenience of this location is being outweighed by the deteriorating condition of this store and lackluster service...plus the parking lot is laid out in a way where accidents are almost inevitable. Overall, this Kroger needs some major help. There is another location just down Gallatin, alongside a nearby Publix and Aldi. If this location does not do something, the doors are sure to close in the coming years.

Most Krogers have the same characteristics that turn me off: misplaced items, littered floors, lazy employees. But seeing the sign that wine sales were not permitted on thanksgiving really set me off. When I asked the employees, none of them gave me a reasonable answer; just the heave-ho of "That's what the manager wants" with shrugged shoulders. All while they were stocking the wine shelves which doesn't make sense if you're not selling wine on thanksgiving. "You can buy beer though" they responded. Sorry, I want wine, not beer. Alcohol discrimination at it's finest. Obviously I'm disgusted by this. As anyone would be.

I've never had any issues with orders here - and they're usually pretty quick if you give them a call and let them know you need your prescription that day. However, recently we've been getting all of our CVS orders delivered! If you're not a member of CVS ExtraCare Plus - let this be your sign to look into it. For a one-time annual payment of around $40, you can get free same-day delivery for your prescriptions, along with a monthly $10 reward and all sorts of other perks. It's a service I never knew I needed ... and now I use it regularly! If you are visiting this store in-person, be advised that the pharmacy lunch break is strictly 1:30-2 PM. I've been caught by this before - and try to avoid stopping by in the afternoon if I can help it.

Apparently, CVS has discovered the one business model that nobody else in America has thought of: just close the entire pharmacy for 30 minutes and hope no one needs medication during that time. Meanwhile, hospitals, grocery stores, banks, restaurants, and just about every other business somehow manage to let employees eat without locking the doors. To be clear, the employees absolutely deserve a lunch break. They should take one. The problem is the policy that forces every customer to rearrange their day because CVS can't staff a pharmacy the way nearly every other business does. If you're planning to pick up a prescription, make sure you schedule your illness around CVS's lunch break.

This store is super close to the hotel where I'm staying. It takes less than five minutes by car. I came here to get some beverages. I ended up getting a twelve-pack of Diet Dr. Pepper. This store has everything you need. Fake nails? Yep. Shampoo? Sure. Advil? Yes. Sugar-free candy? Definitely. I was in the hair care section. There were two women getting hair dye. One was on the phone and abruptly left. Her offspring had swallowed something toxic, so she told the person on the other line to call 911. The other woman followed suit. I hope that everyone is fine. It was so unexpected to hear. This drugstore had a lot of plushies. It had Disney pride plushies. There were along a bunch of Squishmallows. Everything made me happy. I went to the checkout to pay for my items. I had a man help me. He was friendly. I entered my phone number to take advantage of discounts. I paid with a credit card. The transaction was smooth. My second visit was at around 10:40 pm on my birthday. I wanted to grab a bite to eat. Nothing major. I wanted a snack of some sort. The local Taco Bell was closed. I came to this Walgreens, and it was closed, too. The reason why I was disappointed was that this drugstore is supposed to be open 24 hours a day, according to the sign outside. It shuttered at 10 pm and was scheduled to reopen at 8 am, according to another sign. Bummer. It's a good drugstore. If you do get the munchies late at night, you are better off finding a different place in case it decides to shutter early. (225)

However, the spotty customer service makes me hesitate to recommend it at all. I've been here numerous times and experienced really rude and unprofessional service (e.g. I've personally been and seen others be judged and berated at the photo counter when picking up items "late" i.e. within a week or less of placing the order). Sometimes customer service has been nice or fine, though (e.g. one time the photo department called me when they found my photo order, which I appreciated - since when I went to pick it up the first time, they didn't find it). I return here for the location only, but I wish for a more consistently cordial (if not friendly) and efficient experience.

Disparate from other Walgreens that I am familiar with in major tourist centers, this location is underwhelming for alcohol and souvenirs. With regards to this review, I am using "The Daniel. S Yelp Real Time Feature" where I write from my first-hand journaling experience. "June 24, 2025: We are bound for Walgreens. Walking through the Assembly Food Hall we cut off some of the uphill climb up John Lewis Way that is bothering Dad's knees. Now walking up John Lewis Way we are passing by the historic Woolworth Theater and what looks like a Theater District. At the crest of the hill, we step inside the only downtown Nashville Walgreens. At least the only one I am familiar with near Broadway. This store is "blah" in comparison to the Walgreens that I am familiar with in major cities such as Las Vegas, Chicago, San Francisco, and Denver. Their Nashville caps are overpriced and fail to strike me. They fail to carry the bullet beer (24 ounce cans) that I want to pick up for the hotel room. However, they have cold beverages and snacks that my Dad and Brother are buying. I am headed to Starbucks for my beverage. Toi, who rings up my Dad and Brother, is a friendly and personable Cashier. When we return to the what looks like a Theater District along John Lewis Way, being empty handed of purchases allows me to photograph the Woolworth Theater." My "Real Time Yelp First-hand Feature" elucidates that the Downtown Nashville Walgreens deserves Three Stars.

They have clearly made some updates and changes to this location in the past couple of years, and it shows from the condition, layout, selection and even the service. I stopped by for a few items for dinner, but once I got inside, I ended up making a full shopping trip out of it. Its a Market location, so don't expect anything beyond grocery and pharmacy here, which is good with me as that was all I was after! Selection was good, but with the smaller location, they do have fewer products in certain areas. I noticed a few staples in a few areas that I usually get at the larger locations were not carried here. And if it is, the brand or varieties are reduced. However, on the flip side of that, I was impressed with a few specialty items I noted in areas such as fruits and veggies. There were a few empty meat shelves, so I had to pivot on my proteins. Prices are in line with other local Walmart stores, so nothing to compare to there. Condition and cleanliness were solid, and service was surprisingly friendly. Overall, decently impressed with this Neighborhood Market. Will definitely stop avoiding it.

Toothpaste & Laundry Detergent…read more My list was short. You would think that a quick trip to Walgreen's would be easy breezy. Not so much. I should preface that I am not one of those Peyote smokin, non-bathin, Woodstocky hippie types but all of the products that I buy must be good for the environment and cruelty free (doesn't test on animals). Just call me a Yippee (yuppie + hippie) but I am not the only person who shops like this and most retailers have jumped on the bandwagon and bought into one of the fastest growing markets right now. I thought that I would be able to walk in and buy toothpaste made by Burt's Bees, Tom's of Maine, Kiss My Face, or maybe even find another earth lovin' brand. DENIED. I didn't want to make the whole trip a waste so I took a stroll down the laundry detergent aisle. Method? Mrs. Meyers? Greenworks? Borax? I could go on and on. NADA. I asked the very helpful employee (who was the only saving grace of this store) if she knew if they carried these items and she thought that they did but after calling a manager, we realized that this location didn't. I can understand that large companies have to merchandise differently in different regions and demographics but is Walgreens going to tell me that my zip-code doesn't give a damn about preserving the earth and its creatures? Interestingly enough, I drove a block over and the Kroger supermarket must have gotten on the "Clue Train" because they had a healthy inventory for both of these products and at great prices!
