I understand pharmacies being busy. Maybe people don't care for their job. However, the rudeness is…read moreuncalled for. I messaged them to ask when a prescription I had ordered two weeks ago might be in. It's not an uncommon prescription so if having to back order it was an ongoing issue, they likely would be able to say "on average it seems to take X amount of time to get this is." Or, "I will call our supplier and find out." Instead I got a snarky phone call saying they didn't know and it's "out of their hands." I wasn't blaming. Just asking. And my thoughts turned to little confused elderly people who may have the same question. What if it's an important medication and they have run out or afraid of running out? That could be pretty scary to them. For me, if I don't take this prescription I usually end up in urgent care so obviously I was concerned. I was able to transfer my prescription to a different pharmacy and got it the next day. And it was challenging to do because the new pharmacy couldn't get CVS to do their job and transfer the prescription. I really wish CVS would do a better job. Customer service seems to be a lost art. And while I can navigate the "system", older people can't. They need a bit of compassion and someone at least trying to help.

This is a review for the drive thru COVID-19 test offered by CVS, not for the store itself…read more A negative COVID-19 test is a requirement to return home to the state of Hawaii. This, for the time being, is our new normal, so one needs to accept it, and I did. Easy, easy, easy. I first thought that the worst part of this was having to do the test myself. But on second thought, it was better than someone else shoving a q-tip half way to my brain. Made the appointment on the app. Drove to the drive thru. Got to the window. Verified my ID. Got the test. Inserted q-tip 1/2 in (NOT UP - don't want to lobotomize myself). Placed q-tip into vial. Returned vial. PAU. Service was efficient and friendly.

The Downtown Nashville Walgreens…read more In my estimation, this is the one and only Walgreens in Downtown Nashville that is accessible to Broadway. Disparate from other Walgreens that I am familiar with in major tourist centers, this location is underwhelming for alcohol and souvenirs. With regards to this review, I am using "The Daniel. S Yelp Real Time Feature" where I write from my first-hand journaling experience. "June 24, 2025: We are bound for Walgreens. Walking through the Assembly Food Hall we cut off some of the uphill climb up John Lewis Way that is bothering Dad's knees. Now walking up John Lewis Way we are passing by the historic Woolworth Theater and what looks like a Theater District. At the crest of the hill, we step inside the only downtown Nashville Walgreens. At least the only one I am familiar with near Broadway. This store is "blah" in comparison to the Walgreens that I am familiar with in major cities such as Las Vegas, Chicago, San Francisco, and Denver. Their Nashville caps are overpriced and fail to strike me. They fail to carry the bullet beer (24 ounce cans) that I want to pick up for the hotel room. However, they have cold beverages and snacks that my Dad and Brother are buying. I am headed to Starbucks for my beverage. Toi, who rings up my Dad and Brother, is a friendly and personable Cashier. When we return to the what looks like a Theater District along John Lewis Way, being empty handed of purchases allows me to photograph the Woolworth Theater." My "Real Time Yelp First-hand Feature" elucidates that the Downtown Nashville Walgreens deserves Three Stars.

I have been to this Walgreens twice. My first experience was wonderful. My second time was…read moredisappointing, as it was closed. Let's get to the positive experience first. This store is super close to the hotel where I'm staying. It takes less than five minutes by car. I came here to get some beverages. I ended up getting a twelve-pack of Diet Dr. Pepper. This store has everything you need. Fake nails? Yep. Shampoo? Sure. Advil? Yes. Sugar-free candy? Definitely. I was in the hair care section. There were two women getting hair dye. One was on the phone and abruptly left. Her offspring had swallowed something toxic, so she told the person on the other line to call 911. The other woman followed suit. I hope that everyone is fine. It was so unexpected to hear. This drugstore had a lot of plushies. It had Disney pride plushies. There were along a bunch of Squishmallows. Everything made me happy. I went to the checkout to pay for my items. I had a man help me. He was friendly. I entered my phone number to take advantage of discounts. I paid with a credit card. The transaction was smooth. My second visit was at around 10:40 pm on my birthday. I wanted to grab a bite to eat. Nothing major. I wanted a snack of some sort. The local Taco Bell was closed. I came to this Walgreens, and it was closed, too. The reason why I was disappointed was that this drugstore is supposed to be open 24 hours a day, according to the sign outside. It shuttered at 10 pm and was scheduled to reopen at 8 am, according to another sign. Bummer. It's a good drugstore. If you do get the munchies late at night, you are better off finding a different place in case it decides to shutter early. (225)
