I'm going to This location sucks. They need to fire that young small girl they have, she always has the worst attitude, last straw was last night when she put me on hold for over 30 min, she never did come back to the phone. Got there before someone came back on the line, prescription was supposed to be ready at 2, went up there twice after 2 and it wasn't ready till well after 6. Then I go up there, 5 ppl standing there looking at me, no acknowledgment, I just get ignored for a few minutes till someone decides to come over, this happens every single time. Every time I have called in a prescription, it's hardly ever ready when I go to pick up. I'm over this place, if my insurance won't let me go back to Walgreens, I will just have to go out my way and go to another cvs store. Only bright side to this unprofessional business is the technician with the strawberry blonde hair. She never seems rattled, always calm and nice. Promote her cause she's the only great thing y'all got! UPDATE: They have made some wonderful changes, replaced everyone but the strawberry blonde (Shawna) which is GREAT! Arrived to pick up a prescription and it's an hour and a half past open time. The screens are drawn down why the staff is moving around behind them. No communication to anyone in the building line. Super unprofessional. Canceled my prescription and went to Walgreens across the street. The bare minimum is communicating, if you're running behind, need people's patience, whatever the case may be. But leaving the screens drawn down so you don't have to talk to the 8 people in line is ridiculous read more

This CVS location is, by far, the worst CVS location I've encountered. It always seems to be chaos and mayhem in the pharmacy. There's one small fella who seems to be hyper. He runs around and shoots and for sure broadcasts confidential patient information like drug names. Most unprofessional. I've switched to the pharmacy at Basha's. The hours aren't as convenient but they're calm and more professional. read more

I recently swapped over to this location to use their pharmacy, and I've had a great experience so far. The pharmacy staff had been wonderful, including Matt, Mario, Nancy, and the other folks who were helpful and kind to me. Matt made magic happen when I was in a pinch, and I appreciate them so much. Their store options and item variety is also pretty amazing- they have a little bit of everything. I will definitely keep coming back at this point. read more

I used to go to CVS out in Mesa, never had issues. They were 24/7 and always polite and friendly. I moved to Maricopa and have never experienced some rude, distasteful people working here. The sad thing is they genuinely do NOT care about you or your situation, and they will flat out tell you that. I refuse to deal with them and will switch to either Fry's or Walgreens if able! Do not go to CVS in Maricopa unless you enjoy being talked down to. I get they have a hard job, most people do. I have to deal with parents all year and they usually don't call you when they're happy, but as professionals we are to remain calm and collected. If you're in customer service, that IS the expectation! People need medication because they are sick! They may not always be in the best mood because they feel like well or are just dependent on their medications. Try to emphasize and be up front but with understanding and respect. If there is something you can do to assist, do it! People rely on their medications! read more

CVS pharmacy at this location used to be good now they close at random hours. They're supposed to be open until eight or nine. They close at six and this has happened several times in the past month not sure if they're understaffed but the need to do better. read more

The cashiers at the front are friendly and personable so it hurts me to give a one star, but the pharmacy staff are so incompetent and rude that it fully outweighs my opinion. I can't believe I am writing a review about a pharmacy but it's truly that bad that I feel the need to warn others. I come from a career in customer service/management so I do try to give workers the benefit of the doubt with a "maybe it's a bad day for them" perspective- but the pharmacy techs at this location leave me in a terrible, frustrated mood every-time I have the misfortune of unsuccessfully trying to pick up my normal monthly meds. I get the same script every month and somehow end up having to take multiple trips and call multiple parties before actually getting it almost every month. The pharmacy techs are always unbothered and unhelpful in pointing me to take it up with my "dr or insurance" to figure out what the issue could be.. Providing no guidance about what the problem is or why it keeps happening. All they know is that they aren't giving me my prescribed meds despite my getting their text notifications stating that my scripts are ready for pickup. This last trip, the pharmacy tech said that my controlled meds werent available for pickup because they were "over the counter"..? They seemed to take joy when I finally told them that I might need to switch pharmacies at this point since it's the 4th or 5th time it's happened in 6 months of coming here. Not sure where I'll switch but I'm fully confident it'll be better than this place. read more

I have used CVS for years because of its exceptional customer service at the pharmacy. Never a problem getting my Rx's. I have some ongoing conditions that require I take medication for my lifetime. When I moved to Maricopa in Pinal county I've had nothing but trouble with the pharmacy getting my prescriptions done correctly. It's so frustrating!!!! Pharmacist Matthew is rude and clearly doesn't care. The app never works. You call and wait 30 minutes or more only to be hung up on multiple times. This used to be a great pharmacy but since about 2019 it's gone to complete crap. I will change to a Chandler pharmacy. read more

CVS Pharmacy takes lunch from 1:30 to 2:00 M-F. On Tuesday, 9/19/23 I arrived in the drive thru at 1:25. There was a vehicle ahead of me picking up, however, this vehicle was at the pickup window until 1:32 PM. Once he pulled out, I pulled up. The drive thru was closed for lunch. Now I know that the person working this window knew that I was there. Any place else will finish with those in line prior to taking lunch, closing, etc. So, I sat there until their lunch was over and picked up my prescriptions. I waited since I am a disable 64 yr. old man that is on a very small monthly income. And I therefore am unable to afford the gas to go, and return to CVS after 2:00 PM. When I spoke with the Pharmacy Manager this did not seem to at all bother him. No apology, nothing! read more

I'm sure other customers have had this problem but when I tried to picking up my prescription the Pharmacist had no experience with dealing with insurance or probably doesn't want to. If you debate with them they will have you chasing your tail. Never had issues with CVS back in Glendale. But here in Maricopa, they must be hiring new techs. It's hard to be kind when prescription prices are ridiculously high. Example, and this is not an exaggeration. One of my medications from you was is 80 dollars for 30 days. I asked, why is there such a difference on Good RX. It shows that exact medication from places nearby to be from 16 to19 dollars. They person in the drive through got fluster then came back saying the best they could do was 48. Hmmm. So, the rest of the story. I went to Frys pharmacy, and they filled that exact same medication for 3 dollars. That's right, 3. Can you explain that. I call it theft or gouging. True, to join the pharmacy club at Frys cost 40 dollars annually. Had I not checked, as many others probably don't, You would have costed me an unnecessary spend of $924 annually. And that's on just one prescription! That is inexcusable. YOU'RE FIRED, with no eligibility for rehire! I truly hope people read this. This is what angers me most. Taking from people who potentially can't afford meds to begin with, with no remorse. read more

I work with this Pharmacy often to prescribe patients. Matt is by far the worse in customer service out of all the places we work with. So sad to hear such impatience, I quote- "well its gonna be awhile" in negative tone with huffing and "I have other calls" as if mine is not important. TERRIBLE service in Pharmacy. Couldn't get prescriptions filled in a timely manner, then discover via goodrx.com that their prices were twice (and sometimes more) than competition. Tried to get prescriptions transferred to another pharmacy. Took five days and still they won't respond to the request from the new pharmacy. Called today and was put on hold for 28 minutes AFTER telling them why I was calling. They finally came back on the line to say they would do it today AFTER closing. I will NEVER do business with CVS again. read more

This review is of the Pharmacy Manager at CVS Pharmacy in Maricopa, AZ. His name is Matthew. Matthew has by far the worst customer service skills I have ever come across. To start, when you try to talk to him, he talks over you. Second, CVS was out of my medication FOR A WEEK. It is a benzo so of course I went into withdrawal. When I called to ask when he thought they'd be in, he said "I have no idea, maybe sometime tomorrow." I then explained that this medication causes severe withdrawal along with withdrawl enduced epilepsy and asked for his advice as he is a pharmacy manager. He replied "I can't speed up the process of getting your medication here, there's nothing I can do for you." Today, 01/25/24, I went in to pickup my script (Trust me, I am in the process of switching to Frys) and I told an employee about him and do you know what he/she said? "Im so sorry, we get so many complaints about him, I dont know how he gets away with it." Simple, hes a man with a little bit of authority. Matthew should be NOWHERE near patients or medicine or work in customer service. I really pray nobody else has to deal with him! He is an absolute a**. Nice job, CVS; You just lost a loyal customer of over a decade. I will NOT be treated that way by anyone let alone him. Ugh he gives me the absolute ick. read more

I have always used CVS for my prescriptions and have not had any issues in the past before moving to maricopa, however the pharmacy staff in this CVS is the worst I have dealt with of any pharmacy. I have lived in Maricopa over a year and have had the misfortune of getting my refills from this CVS half a dozen times since then. Every time I have had to get a prescription I call and use the automatic system, and it tells me it will be ready for pick up, and every time I go to pick it up they tell me it's not ready, or they don't have the medication in stock, or they have to call my doctor, it's Maddening! This CVS is only 2 minutes from my house but I'm switching my perceptions to a CVS near my work and never going back here again. read more

this happened a year ago but i noticed they deleted this review off google so i'm reposting it here so people are aware. after this happened i immediately switched all my prescriptions to walgreens and i have not stepped foot in this cvs since this horrible experience: one of the women who works in the pharmacy is possibly the rudest person i have ever met & she discriminated against me for having mental health medication. my prescription i've been picking up for 5 years was having issues due to me changing insurances. i told her i had been picking it up for 5 years & i wasn't sure what was going on & then she proceeded to tell me i have NEVER picked up that prescription from a cvs before. she then went on to LOUDLY announce my listed mental health medication (with a line of people behind me within ear shot) and tell me that picking that up a few days prior was the only thing i have ever picked up from any cvs in the past two years. i told her i could bring in receipts of when i had picked up my other prescriptions & that i could tell her the addresses of the CVS's i used to pick up from prior to moving if that helped her verify me in the system. some of the things she said to me included "maybe you went to a walgreens," "that would be crazy if you could bring in the receipt considering you've never picked it up from cvs" and telling me over and over again how i had never been to a cvs in the past two years to get my prescription (this is a prescription i had picked up monthly from cvs with no problems prior to moving to maricopa). eventually, another pharmacist who was actually kind & a decent human came over to help. he was able to find that i had 2 cvs profiles because someone at the maricopa location had made me a new profile for some reason? & of course the other older profile had all the times and locations i had picked up this prescription from other cvs locations. imagine someone reading off your mental health medication LOUDLY and then proceeding to treat you like an insane person and a liar when there is a line of people behind you. she didn't even take the 2 minutes to check and see if i had another profile and instead she saw that i had mental health medication and decided to discriminate against me and gaslight me into thinking i had never been to a cvs before. this was a horrible and embarrassing experience and i hope this women learns how to treat people kindly in the future. this experience still impacts me to this day - it was horrifying and i advise you stay far away from this cvs if you take any medication for mental health issues. read more

Told a lady at the cashiers and she laughed and said "you would be surprised what someone can do in one day we clean it everyday" Um no!! This CVS never has my medication in stock, ever. I am prescribed the same meds every single month and every month they are out of stock. This last visit, the red head with rotted teeth who is apparently a pharmacy tech was very very rude. Rite Aid puts this pharmacy and Walgreens to shame. If anyone is thinking about moving to the West coast from the South East-East Coast DON'T DO IT!!! Anything West of Texas North and South is trash. They have horrible service. I went through the drive-thru for a prescription and they said they had to order brand medicine because my insurance doesn't cover generic. I called my insurance company and they do so I went back and let them know. The lady in the drive-thru rolled her eyes and said go inside if you want help. I waited for 30 minutes in line and they said yeah your insurance covered it come back at 7:15. Its currently 7:30 and my medicine still isn't ready. This is the 4th time I'm going to have to go back. read more

Absolutely horrible expirence....do not go here if you have the choice. Horrible customer service, long waits and they can't even remember to mix medication!! Its a good thing I am firmilar with medication for children, let me tell you. I went to pick up my 4 year olds medication, after it had been called in by her pediatrician, got it home and was about to give her the first dose and realized it hadn't been mixed!!! That's right, I received nothing but powder. It even says to mix it on the prescription in BIG red letters!! What would have happened if I didnt know any better? Some parents may not have used the medication before and assumed it was supposed to be powder...her first dose could have been deadly!! Stay away....Walgreens is WAAAAAAAY better!!! read more

So.... Here we're are again same old bull crap. We dropped off a perscription last Thursday, the Pharmacy said it would be ready on Monday or Tuesday, so we waitied till today, Wednesday. So while waiting in line for the drive thru, my wife calls the Pahrmacy to see if it was ready, she said it was ready, so we waited a good 30 minutes in line, the Lady taking care of us couldn't get the name correct at first, she finally did after spelling it out to her 2 times. I forgot to mention after my wife called she received a call from the pharmacy, the automated call that it was ready, so that's 2 phone calls while in line. So now after waiting for the CSR to come back to the window after looking for 10 minutes she said it wouldn't be ready for an hour cause the computer just received it.so after raising my voice in frustration and demanding to talk to the woman that told my wife on the phone that the prescription was ready the woman just decided to just stand there and stare at me she would not attempt to get the manager or the woman that talk to me on the phone. This is an ongoing issue and it's been going on for over 2 years something has to subside here. Sure would be nice if I had the luxury of going across the street where Walgreens takes care of you. read more

Store is clean. Staff is ok. Pharmacy is very slow. I understand you take your time so you don't need up but goodness grief. They are show and still need up!!
