I understand that there are staffing concerns. I understand that there are things going on to make things difficult. However, it is difficult for people too. I just got a text my script was ready. Hop in the car and see signs staying on the windows that they are closing early this week--what used to be a 24 hour pharmacy. I get to the counter and are told that they are closed, yet helping people in the drive in and at the counter. How are people supposed to get what they need if you are always closed? I've used this pharmacy for a number of years. The pharmacy service generally s u c k s in th late afternoon and evening, staff do not even acknowledge waiting customers. No howdy, no eye contact. I've had the best l u c k in the morning, before 0730. The morning staff, and late overnight staff are the better. My employer requires this (CVS) pharmacy, which is the closest and most convenient to my home. I think this next benefit year I'll no longer required to use CVS, having options will be nice. Horrible customer service. I've been on hold for 20 min., 10 min., 5 min., finally put on some clothing and drove to cvs, only to wait another 20 min. Was told my prescription would be ready by 11AM and that I would receive a text. This was at 6:45 AM. No text. Called again at 1:20. No, not ready. Told it would be ready in 2 to 3 hours, was to receive a text. It's now 6:55PM. I've been on hold for at least 30+ min. Finally, as I'm writing this review, I get a real person who says my script is ready. I asked why I didn't receive a text. Her answer, "We have no control over that." I'm so glad my pharmacy cares. Not even worth one star... But I have to give them one star just to get my review posted. read more

This year our insurance company required us to use CVS for our meds. The staff at the CVS on Andrews Hwy near Midland Memorial are by far some of the rudest most unprofessional people I have ever encountered. Not only is the pharmacist rude to the customers but she's terrible to the staff as well. I am now moving all of my prescriptions to mail order so I don't have to set foot in the store and I'm praying that enough people complain that our insurance company will go back to allowing us to choose our own pharmacies. This pharmacy is an absolute joke. I have called numerous times to speak about a prescription that I am in dire need of and they placed me on hold several different times for 15-30 minutes with no answer or someone answering for 2 seconds to say hold. I called numerous times in hopes to get an answer or talk to an actual freakin human for 5 seconds so that I could just ask when my prescription would be ready. This is hands down the worst pharmacy I have ever used. Do not use this pharmacy, they do not care at all about customer satisfaction nor do they care about the well being of people who actually need their medications in a timely manner. Pharmacy staff is severely incompetent. One of the Pharmacy techs whose name rhymes with "Rude" but starts with a "J" lost my sons Rx today. This same tech has caused us problems with our Rx in the past and was very rude about the whole situation. We have used several other pharmacies in the area over the years but this one has consistently been problematic. read more

This pharmacy, like all other health care locations, is doing the best they can right now. Everyone apparently thinks their prescription is the only one they have to fill. No one knows just how under staffed they're. They're doing the best they can with what CVS is giving them. Some people really need to show a little compassion and see just how overworked these people are. Some never get a day off. Five to six cars in line the whole time I was there. The tech (Holly) asked for my information and then instead of checking me out she started working on filling other orders. She needs to get the customers waiting done and then move on to filling the other orders. I had to wait in line for 45 minutes and had to leave. Very inefficient!!! I am amazed at how much the pharmacy was able to help me get the meds for my daughter. My insurance was not going to cover it and I did not have the money. the ladies there (especially the pharmacist) were able to contact the people at the er to switch meds so my toddler didn't have to go another night in coughing fits. This location is a joke, I've never had any luck at this location. The CVS down the street is 10 times better. This last go around my doctor sent the scripts in and the CVS website showed the prescription being "in-process". When I called to get an update, they placed me on hold for over an hour before we hung up. 3 days after our scripts arrived, I sat in the drive thru for 30mins, just to be turned away. The pharmacist said they received the pills the day before but needed another 30mins to ready the scripts. They suggested I wait in line again in the drive thru. read more

Just waited 50-55 minutes for a prescription they stated "was not yet ready" and after getting fed up with waiting she went to look only to find they were ready all along, maybe have a staff that pays attention to their job and responsibilities instead of acting so careless. read more

I love CVS. However, the pharmacy is poorly run. I've heard Walgreens is pretty bad so I'm not sure there are better options. Every time I go in there is a huge line. Employees are milling around casually and not attempting to get everyone taken care of in a timely manner. It takes at least 2 days to fill your prescription. Last time I went in there was a altercation. The lady in front of me stepped up and asked for her order. The employee responded that they were backed up and it wasn't ready. The lady calmly responded someone there told her it would be ready. Another associate said that he should go fill the order while the lady is here. They started arguing in front of the long line. He then rudely proclaimed he would go fill the order while making the whole line wait. The lady then walked out after a few choice words. I was shocked the employee acted like that. The customer was never rude to him. He looked completely overwhelmed. I know they are short staffed but come on. You should never talked to a customer that way. read more

Dropped off prescriptions at 5pm & was told 2 hrs & they'd be ready. I waited until 9am the next day. ..15 hrs later & I'm told they aren't ready yet "give me 45 more minutes". Inquired as to why & told "we're short handed". This after i witnessed 7 employees in the pharmacy when i dropped prescriptions off at 5pm the day before & 3 of them standing around eating a bag of chips & chatting to each other. Not sure why this place takes 10 years to fill a prescription but it never fails. I get the automated call saying it's ready, drive to store, wait in line for 2 hours for them to say oh it's not ready yet it will be in about 2 hours. What? Go back in 2 hours they say they don't have it and will send to a different cvs. Go to cvs #2 and drive thru is closed so I have to get my 9 month old down and go inside, no problem. I wait in one line for 30 mins and the girl tells me since I've never picked up from here I must wait in a different line and have the Pharmicist input my info. Wait another 30 in this line for Pharmicist to tell me the other cvs should have put it on hold and that I need to get in contact with them. At this point I'm fuming, tired of going back and forth, tired of it all. I just wanted to get my baby her meds. but I truly felt bad, it was only him and a girl working and he explained that, he COULD call for me but he knows many people are angry after coming inside and having to wait, so he will just assist them. Told me he wasn't even picking up phones, only helping those in front of him. Moral of the story; switch to HEB. Got my prescription cancelled at cvs and sent to heb, it was ready within the hour. read more

I began doing business with CVS apx 3-4 years ago when Walgreens (directly across the street) made me camp out either inside the store or drive through for hours at a time. Initially, I was very pleased with CVS, I was given courteous service and quick service. However, the 'service' part of CVS employees has diminished to almost zero. This is because the techs, who have little to zero education, also wear their feelings on their sleeves. They expect the customer to be nice to them while they treat the customer poorly! Anyone that works directly with people needing medicine needs to realize that more than likely THEY AREN'T FEELING WELL and as a result aren't always going to be nice or in a good mood. DEAL WITH IT or get into another field of work!!!! EVERYTIME I go to CVS either inside or through the drive through, these uneducated idiots don't know how to handle their job. If they are newly employed techs, I already know the tech is going to either physically throw my information back at me, yell at me or slam the window shut in my face or all three. Everytime I deal with a new tech I ALWAYS wind up talking to management and the techs ALWAYS wind up getting straightened out by management. This tells me that these techs are too stupid to handle a simple job and they are too weak to emotionally handle their feelings and that CVS management doesn't know how to train their techs. read more

This place doesn't even deserve one star. All I can say is CHOOSE WALGREENS. I have been forced to use CVS thanks to Walgreens dropping my prescription network, so off I go. I have been five times so far, and each time is an utter nightmare. Losing orders, with no semblance of organization for where they put their prescriptions unlike Walgreens. In addition, every time I go, every time, the prescription is not ready when it is supposed to be and they have to start on it when I get there. This even after I gave a pick-up time over 24 hours before I picked it up. This place is open 24 hours. There is simply no excuse. Then today, we have a light dusting of snow flurries that did not even accumulate, but they say the computers are down because of it and can't do any prescriptions. I've had it. While it won't work for the stuff I was going to get today, for any future maintenance meds, I am going to use the mail order Blue Cross Blue Shield keeps shoving down my throat. At least I won't have to wait in line for 30 minutes to be told my prescription isn't done despite calling it in well in advance. Walgreens is not like this. Not surprised at the many low ratings for this CVS Pharmacy. Used this pharmacy for a relative for an emergency fill since he was from out of town and needed prescribed medications for a few days. CVS did not go thru the insurance company and used a discount insurance card without his knowledge which turned out to be more that what he would have paid for a 30-day supply using his insurance plan. I was told by the manager, who I feel needs more customer service training, that he agreed to pay what was billed because it was written on the receipt and signed for, even though they should have verbally explained that to him they did not go through his insurance plan. CVS used the discount card and not the insurance which resulted in a higher cost. Now the insurance company will not reimburse him for the higher cost since the discount card was used by CVS. Lesson learned .....Now I advise everyone I know to question EVERYTHING this pharmacy does!! read more

My elderly mother has an infection requiring antibiotics. Her prescription was called in by her doctor on Thursday a.m. After waiting in line for 30 minutes onThursday evening I was told her medication would not be available until Saturday. When I expressed my disgust at such a long turnaround time the tech told me they could try and expedite the prescription and perhaps we could pick it up on Friday evening. Friday evening is here and no indication it is ready. Totally unacceptable. Dangerous practice to delay availability of meds for 3 days. read more
