This CVS is never crowded and it is convenient if I am headed south on LaGrange road, still I rarely go there and only if I really have to. It is such a dispirited kind of empty pharmacy. If I got to a CVS, I vastly prefer the one at Lincoln Hwy and School House road which has more engaging staff and a minute clinic. Besides the emptiness of this store, the staff here is not as competent as any other drug store I frequent. Satruday, for example, we stopped here and had to wait quite a while in line while the cashier explained the meaning of all her tattoos to the disapproving woman ahead of us. She was still going on while she checked our stuff and once we got home I discovered she had charged us twice tor the Advil, 18.34 twice. Sigh. So we had to trek on back and sure, they refunded the money to us but this was now two annoying trips for a few sundries. I am sure some time I will be headed south on LaGrange and reluctantly stop in here again but I hope not. Life is too short to be annoyed while buying the things you need. Why not head someplace else and have a more pleasant experience? For me that is Walgreens even if I do have to make a left while headed south! read more

They would always telll me to go home and call them in a few days. Just too difficult ultimately for them to set up an appointment then and there. I now have covid with really awful symptoms. I ended up giving it to my neighbor whose husband had an organ transplant. My other neighbor was exposed and she has 4th stage cancer. These things are serious CVS. read more

I don't think I would get a prescription filled here if I was dying, literally. This was the only pharmacy I could transfer a prescription to from my mail order pharmacy. They were supposed to transfer the rx for me, and did so, but neglected to transfer any important information, such as refills. When I went to fill it, I was told I had no refills in their system, but I had four at the last pharmacy. I was told this was my problem and to call the other pharmacy. The other pharmacy verified they transferred four refills and called CVS, who was extremely rude to them, but they corrected the error. Upon arrival, I was told they put the rx through as self-pay. Why they did this, I have no idea as I had my current insurance on file. The pharmacist rudely told me it was because my insurance called and told them I would be paying out of pocket for three months of medication. What? She was extremely rude about this and insisted I had told them I was paying out of pocket, which was over $400. Instead of continuing the disagreement, I called my normal pharmacy and asked if they could get the prescription and transfer it now that it wasn't a mail order rx, which they could, While she was on the phone with them I could over hear her telling my pharmacy I was cheap and didn't want to,pay the co pay for my drug, which was not the case. I went and paid the copay elsewhere with no issue. I'm relieved I no longer have CVS prescription coverage as I have no interest in dealing with anyone at this pharmacy again, especially the pharmacist who needs to work on her people skills, read more

I have always had pleasant experiences at this location. My scripts are on auto fill and they are always waiting for me. I received a Flu shot last fall and I got a $10 dollar coupon and Insurance paid my copay. It was convenient, and I did not get the flu when my whole office got it twice. The pharmacy staff is helpful finding items in the OTC section and I have never waited in line, ever. Last time I was there looking for a eye drops, the pharmacist, Lou, helped me select the correct product for my issue. Always helpful and always solve my problems, but honestly I can tell when I walk in they are always very busy. Its a business, and I know when I walk in to their store there a lot of people with bigger issues than I. I just like to give a store the benefit of the doubt. I have always had positive experiences here. It is a very convenient location for me and I have bought everything from candy and cards to makeup and mailing envelopes. Prices are pretty competitive to other drug stores and there are typically some great coupons. I recommend becoming a rewards member. I love this place. The pharmacist goes above and beyond what she is supposed to do. My Dr. gave me the wrong script, she called my Dr's office and they were closed. She then called the emergency number to collect all the information she need. She then filled it and called me within 20 min to tell me it was ready for pick up. They always go above and beyond. I really haven't been to CVS in a while. I like the layout compaired to Walgreens. You can see everything from across the store. I just wanted a magazine and they did have quite a few. But they had like 2 car mags and the rest was Martha and WWF. It was clean, I'll give it that. But I think that I will stick to Walgreens. Better selection. read more

The pharmacist here is really rude. There was a mess up with our insurance and a medication and my husband called to have it explained. She said "I explained this last night, don't you remember?" - very rude and unnecessary attitude. So sorry he didn't remember since he had just gotten out of the hospital. I have to say when it comes excellent pharmacies, this place is outstanding! I got used to poor customer service at the W place, or a few other CVS locations! Becky and Beth set a high standard for excellent customer service in the pharmacy! It never matters how busy they are, the team members acknowledge a waiting customer. They greet customers, they consistently go above and beyond for my family needs! If something is wrong or not to my satisfaction, they are quick to resolve it. Too many other pharmacies are too busy to acknowledge customers, some will down right ignore you, as they are so busy. Not at this location. This is a public service alert: CVS Pharmacy does not inform you that they are no longer a "preferred provider" through your insurance company. When asked directly why a prescription was so much higher, they still didn't disclose. When you try to return the same items less than an hour later after contacting the insurance company, they fall back on the convenient law that prohibits pharmacy returns~ even when they have scammed you. Lots of excuses about how they don't know etc etc. Bottom line is they avoid suggesting things that make sense to their customers/victims, that could avoid them being overcharged, until after they collect your money. I recently moved back to Frankfort after living in the city and Oak Park for some years. I don't think I've ever posted a review on any business, until now. There was a Walgreens in Oak Park (I'll be writing a review for that location after this) that was conveniently located just a block away from our condo. I had some sort of issue EVERY SINGLE TIME I went in there. That is not even an exaggeration. After two years of dealing with HORRIBLE customer service and tons of aggravation and hours wasted, we moved back to Frankfort. I tried picking up my scripts at a Walgreens nearby and had bad customer service and poor attitudes once again. Finally, I switched to this CVS and I cannot express how happy I have been with them. I have yet to have any issues. They are always kind to me, fill my scripts faster than any other pharmacy I've been to, and not to mention they actually go over WITH YOU the side effects and important information and then any questions you have before you leave. They have good communication and 90% of the time do it with a smile on their face! I never have to wait in a line or for more than 5 minutes. Trust me people...it could be way way worse than what I'm reading in other reviews. I WOULD KNOW unfortunately :-/ Plus, a lot of these other reviews are a few years old, and employees come and go over the years...I'd give them another shot if you've had a bad experience here before. I'm sad that I will have to switch locations since we are moving to a different town next week, but I'm hoping they are just as good as this location has been to me! read more

I can't believe I'm the first to review this place. This place screws up more prescriptions for customers more than any place I know. I recently went to pick up a prescription around 6pm which they told me would be ready after 3pm and it wasn't ready. They told me it was somehow on hold, though I've gotten the same prescription numerous times at the same location. 3 other customers before me had similar issues (where they called in and arrived and their prescription wasn't ready). It's crazy. I don't know what's happened to this location but I've moved all my prescriptions to another location because of it.
