Rating is actually ZERO. If you want your medications hassle-free within a reasonable amount of time, go anywhere other than CVS pharmacy in Moncks Corner, SC! They've been short-staffed for years & whether you go in-store or the drive thru to pick up, be prepared to wait a loooong, frustrating time. My most recent use of this pharmacy left me hanging 24+ hours without medication I needed same day due to travel. I used the automated pharmacy line before 8am that morning to submit my request. The Pharmacist pulled it immediately, put it in a "preparing" status, but failed to fill it the entire day. Then she went home. This "preparing" status prevented all other CVS pharmacies from pulling my prescription & filling it for me (ones open 24 hours). No communication from Moncks Corner pharmacy. CVS national customer care was also closed. There was not a single CVS agent in the entire U.S. that could resolve my problem. I know that to be true because I actually drove to the store to beg the manager for help. She patiently listened to my dilemma, but no ideas. I've used this pharmacy for years. I've switched to other drug stores for extended periods of time due to a plethora of situations that plague this location. CVS Moncks Corner = non-existent customer service. Take your money elsewhere. I am. This location should be closed. read more

It sickens me to see that others have been through the same medical neglect with Hope. So here's my "Hope Story": Pharmacist (Hope Snell) was very rude unprofessional. We needed a prescription filled by three and called and it was short notice. Unfortunately, CVS was the only pharmacy with the medication that we needed. Instead of using her doctorate degree to help a patient she decided it would be funny to laugh at said patient. Publix stayed back to make themselves available for CVS to call to get the prescription transferred as they did not have it in stock. She refused to call them until they were off lunch (despite our explanation) and said she had 24 hours to fulfill the transfer request once received. At this point we were within an hour of the patient needing her blood pressure medicine. Another family member showed up at the store and Hope continued to be argumentative and act like she was on a power trip. Once filling the prescription, she even made a comment towards the family member saying can you please be quiet? I'm trying to count. The family member was on the phone and I made a comment towards her that she didn't appreciate, but ultimately she ended up filling the prescription. Fast-forward to about 20 minutes later and my phone rings, Hope being the professional that she is decided to misuse her power and look at my personal information in their system to contact me for a reason that I could not tell you because once she found out, I was recording the phone call she quickly hung up the phone. I called back and left a voicemail inquiring why I was contacted because I did not know if Hope may had messed something up ( I genuinely could see that happening)or if she was just trying to pick a fight. Again, my phone rang and she said she would not be assisting me via telephone and hung up. Nevertheless, a complaint has been filed with CVS corporate, which was escalated to the district level due the harassing phone calls from Hope. I have also filled a complaint with the labor licensing board due to her lack of patient care and disregard for patient safety. I really hope both entities take this complaint seriously and terminate her employment as well as her license. Oh and Hope if you are reading this, Yes this call will be recorded ;) I pray the Board gets you out of this line of work before you kill someone. read more

Terrible pharmacy. Hope Snell (?), the pharmacist on duty was so rude and unprofessional. She violated HIPAA, she argued with my dad, who is elderly and was trying to get his insulin because his sugar was so high, and made the sick comment of "well at least it's high so he won't crash" and tried arguing that his doctor sent an order saying it was 199 when in fact it was over 400. She is in the wrong profession because she has zero compassion. There is so much I could write but do not go to this place. Far more pharmacies around that will treat you with dignity and compassion. Hope that works at cvs in Moncks corner is very rude and nasty. When you get rude and nasty back with her she goes to tell me this my last time filling a prescription there. Like I care she acts as tho that's the only cvs in the world or the only pharmacy I can use. if she was rude like that to me today she's like that on a daily basis with a lot of peopl. Hope Snell is the rudest and most unprofessional pharmacist I have ever come across. And I've worked in the healthcare field for 20 years, and have worked with plenty of pharmacists. I questioned why my med wasn't ready since I submitted for a refill 5 days ago. She started screaming at me in front of several other customers that "I didn't know what I was talking about and I needed to leave because there were people behind me in line (in the drive through)". The next morning I see on the app my med is finally ready. I sent a note for someone to call me because my med was now $93 when it was $5 last month. Lucky me, Hope returned my call only to immediately start screaming at me that she called me twice the evening before to tell me about the price. She claims she was told twice that "I no longer lived there". When I told her I never received a call and asked her to verify the phone number she refused. She the told me this was an issue with my insurance company and she was putting my meds back. I could just call them. I asked for her last name and she got even more mad screaming that she would be crazy to give it to me. I then called my insurance company to ask them what they wanted me to do since this pharmacist was refusing to fill my meds and they require me to use CVS. They called her and told her to fill my meds for the $5 copay. (Still don't know where $93 came from). She told them she wasn't doing it and she would not be calling my physician to update it to a 90 day either. The representative from my insurance company was dumb founded and didn't know how to respond to that. Her solution was for me to go to a different CVS because it was clear Hope was not going to allow me to fill my meds. If you live anywhere in Charleston you know a 15 mile drive is a 2 hour event. Which is how far the next CVS was from my house. I have reported this to the board of pharmacy as well as CVS district office. She is absolutely going to harm or kill a patient by withholding the wrong medication from someone. Judging by the reviews on google and yelp that specifically call her out by name, this is a recurring event. Shame on CVS for allowing this. And I hope they have a good lawyer because she is one mistake away from a serious lawsuit. read more

I had the worst experience today at this pharmacy. I chose cvs because they have a priority fill for children and it was convenient. Today I pulled through the drive through and the lady was unable to locate an in dated insurance. So she asked if I could come in. Of course, I don't mind because I know insurance things can take a minute. When I got inside, there were 4 or 5 people in front so I stood at the back of the line. The lady from the drive through asked me to step up to the counter so she could talk to me real quick and that is when it went downhill. She was saying I wasn't coming up in the Insurance database and I said "oh man, that's crazy because I got the letter in the mail a couple weeks ago, stating I was covered." Then a woman, talk chocolate woman with a grey and red headband, pipped in and very rudely stated "it's saying it's not valid so you need to call them" so I mentioned to her that I got mail stating it was valid and she got extremely rude and repeated herself. I said "you do not have to get rude with me" so she doubled down and said "you cut in front of people and I just told you 5 times that it's not valid!" By this time, I'm FUMING and said "I did not cut anyone! I was asked to step up to the counter so I am doing exactly what I was told!" The woman from the drive through, then started to get a mouthful from that same woman. I asked the drive through lady if it would help if I brought my mail up there and she said yes, that would be so helpful. I told her I would be back and will be speaking with the manager. When I came back, I overheard the same disrespectful woman, on the phone, being rude to that customer as well. Stating things like "I'm trying to tell you but you keep interrupting me!" Obviously, this woman is bitter and has no place in the health industry. I am willing to bet, all these complaints about someone being rude over the phone, is her. Everyone else in the pharmacy are kind and respectful. Obviously she needs to be retrained or fired. The manager handled everything well and said she would reprimand her but I have so many doubts. If she was that comfortable getting that disrespectful with people, she obviously is not being reprimanded. I've seen people fired for less. Much, much less. This CVS never answers the phone and you ask for a specific medication they will say that they have it knowing that they don't . So the. You have to wait for them to order it which means you go without your medication until they get it in. And they never send you a notification that they don't have the medication in stock after they have lied and told you they have it. I heart CVS! Sometimes, I walk in CVS to see what they have on their clearance aisle. It's their hidden gem. I love deals and they always have a deal on something I wanted to try from an infomercial or makeup that I want to experiment with. Nonetheless, the Moncks Corner CVS doesn't disappoint either. They also saying the doctor call and change your medication and I call the doctor he said he never call CVS. And My son Has seizure and they lied and said that had no refill and I went to another store, and they pull it right up. A when you question them, they get mad. They are not respectful at all. This is the worst pharmacy I have ever used, especially the drive thru. They only have one drive in lane open and they are using it to perform covid tests. Went to this CVS 2 hours after my meds were supposed to be ready & was told by counter there was an issue with insurance so they weren't ready and would cost more - asked why I wasn't notified by phone & was told they sent a text message; told the lady I had looked at phone just before I came in & had no text; asked why no phone call & she said I was set for text so I said set me for phone - told her CVS constantly screws up my family (including inlaws) orders & the store sucked but to her credit she helped me find a discount card & filled my order - I'm not mad at her but tired of this store screwing everything up they touch; have been using them since they came to Moncks Corner but never again, Walgreens is a quarter-mile away and they'll get my business from now on!!!!!!! Every time I have used this CVS in Moncks Corner SC (pharmacy only) there is always a problem. Pharmacy Staff has been rude in drive thru and they never have prescription ready when they say they will. Most recently 9/16/13 after a Back injury I was given prescription for pain. I arrived at aproximately 2pm to drop off the two percriptions. they saidthey couldnt fill it until 8pm? why i have no idea? so i laidin bed fir hours and family arrived at 8pm to pick the percriptions up. they told her they were sorry but they were short staffed and someone called in ect. (as i said alwaysan issue here) the meds would hopefully be filled by 9am. They never gave me phone call to advise me Meds wouldnt be ready. so with a wasted trip and time of my family trying to help I called to voice my complaint with service and ask why they wouldnt have called me so i could make orher arrangements to go to Royal Rd / N Main CVS (where i never have any issue) Upon making call I navigate to the pharmacy via automated system and listen to repeated automated statements of "all pharmacy staff members are busy helping other customers for the better part of 19 minutes. ( No exaggeration)When the guy answers the phone I give him my name and express hoy I'm in pain as well as my disappointment in service he says " come back to the store we have it ready" I questioned what he said and thought to myself did I hear that correctly? So I asked again providing my name and info stating "are you sure because theladyjustsaid 9am tomorrow before it would be done?? He said yes come on back we have it ready. So I sent family back AGAIN and sure enough they had it ready. I had to start using CVS because my preferred pharmacy was no longer in network with BCBS. I loathe the Moncks Corner CVS. The waits are ridiculously long and the staff are not helpful. My 9 year old son needed pain medication after his surgery. I went to the drive thru to drop it off and to let them know I needed as soon as possible and the only reason I did not come in the store is because my son just got out of hospital and I obviously was not going to leave him in the car or make him walk in. They told me it would be an hour but they would do everything thing they could to fill asap. I do not live in town so we waited it out. Got to the window 57 minutes later and a heavy set brunette was now working it and she tells me it's not ready. I asked if there was absolutely in way they could fill it so I could take my son home and I get the we are really backed up...which for the record is a daily occurrence or statement. She proceeds to tell me it will be an additional 20 minutes and I look at her and say I was told it would be ready in an hour. She gets snarky and says "I don't know who told you that" so I cut her off and tell her it was the gentleman working right behind her. It would seem that this set her off and she got even ruder. I left before I caused a scene and asked a relative to please go pick it up because I needed to get my child home. When the relative goes to pick this up the total is less than $2 but the only bill she has is a $100 dollar bill. In a rude tone the lady says " Don't you have anything smaller?" which my relatives reply is "NO, if I did I would have used it pay you with." I never told my relative who was rude but when they brought the medicine I asked how it went and she described the same lady I had dealt with. CVS - maybe you should look in to the woman working your drive-thru at 12:15 - 1:30 pm on 12/13/17 and fire or retrain this individual. Also, looking at prioritizing medication filling based on situation may earn you some goodwill from your customers. read more
