The drug I need, tetracaine lollipops (numbing lollipops for post-op pain from a tonsillectomy), must be compounded. John had to order several components to ensure the drug was compounded correctly. He was concerned that he would not have the supplies in time, so he paid for overnight shipping. All components, except one, arrived on time. He called me twice to make sure I was comfortable, and he even offered to transfer the prescription to another pharmacy about an hour away - just in case I needed it before he could get the other ingredient to compound the drug. I said no, I would wait on him - after all of this, I wouldn't give my $ to anyone else! Then, he gave me his personal cell # to call/text just in case I needed him at all through the night since my medicine would not be available. He gave helpful tips on things to do to minimize the pain, such as waking up periodically to take sips of cold water, resting elevated, etc. He also assured me that if I could not control the pain without the numbing lollipops, he would do anything he could to help me. The service I receive at The Medicine Shoppe in Georgetown, SC is what you would expect to receive from your very best friend. I will never go to another pharmacy, and I will tell everyone how amazing both John and his wife truly are! The SC coast is lucky to have you both!

This store has a good variety of durable medical supplies, orthopedic and diabetic shoes, braces, walkers, wheelchairs, scooters and more! The owner was on site when we went in to check things out and we loved how attentive and genuine he was in helping us learn about the store and their services. Parking is available in the front lot, or around back of the store. There are two wheelchair accessible spots out front. The store is open, bright and very clean, with room to easily maneuver a wheelchair. Items are clearly marked and the staff are kind, patient and willing to assist. They make the process of selecting diabetic shoes so much easier because they take care of all the paperwork with your doctor and your insurance company, and they are the only store of its kind who travel to clients anywhere in South Carolina! Every other month I have an issue with my refills. This time I called to find out why I haven't received a text that my medication was ready. After being on hold for 10 mins a lady gave me two different answer of what was going on with my medication then put me back on hold. Several mins later a guy gets on the phone and tells me my medicine was entered wrong and the one I usually gets is not in stock and will have to be ordered. This is not a new prescription, I get this inhaler every month. I am out of medication and now it won't be in for a few more days. This pharmacy lacks respective employees and they don't care about their customers.

Turns out the employee at the Moncks Corner Walgreens did not know how to correctly run the system there and had messed up our prescription order entirely. Obviously there is a severe lack of training here, care for people's health and also lack customer service. I felt attacked, not helped. Will be changing pharmacies as soon as possible.
