I must have called nearly…read moreevery medical supplies company on my insurance in-network list but I wish I had called Avant first. One of the biggest reasons this is a five star pharmacy/supplies company is because they directly bill insurance. I found no other place in Charlotte that did this. They all wanted me to pay for the equipment myself and then get a reimbursement from insurance. Talk about a hassle and risky proposition if the insurance decided not to cover it. Another thing they did is pre-order the walker even before they received the prescription from my doctor so that it would be ready as soon as possible. They took the time and effort to assemble the walker and adjust it to my height. They also delivered it to my front door, something that was imperative for me since I couldn't walk anywhere and couldn't get to their store. Not every place I called would deliver like this. The pharmacists who answered the phone were very prompt and courteous and Samantha, the durable medical equipment coordinator, was an incredibly helpful and conscientious person. She even called my doctor directly to persuade him to speed up the prescription process because I had been waiting for over a week. If anyone ever needs durable medical equipment your first call should be Avant Pharmacy.

Got here at 2:45... line of 4 people behind me. Dude behind…read morethe register spent 20 minutes trying to figure out how to input my car, address, phone number etc. Meanwhile the "service manager" sat in the office directly behind him not bothering to help the other people behind me. After 2 hours of waiting I talked to the service manager about how much longer? And 5 minutes after that, my car was suddenly in the bay. Like they forgot about it. Waited 2.5 hours for a tire change. Just to find out they weren't even able to do the tire change because they don't carry the lug nuts for the tire? Huge waste of my day. Manager said there were appointments scheduled before they could work on my car but the bay was consistently empty and no customers waiting. I checked every 15 minutes or so to see if my car was even yet. Thank god for discount tire who fixed the issue in 5 minutes and for free. Huge waste of my time.. do better. $80 spent for a new tire in my trunk and my spare put back on. Avoid this walmart auto center. Walmart auto center, Monroe Nc. Over the last several months service has really gone down hill, Inblamed it on so many new staff members and staff coming and going, figured it would straighten out shortly. From prescriptions not being ready when there has been plenty of time, for instance it took two days for a Viatmain D prescription to be filled for myself. Constantly being told the doctors office never sent the prescription, yet the doctor office can tell you exactly when it was emailed. To our lastest issue missing controlled substance strips from a prescription. There are 10 missing. That is a huge deal and the "straw that broke the camels back". It was bad enough with the other issues, and we have been considering going elsewhere, but now our prescriptions are shorted. Per Monica we should have counted them before we left. I had no idea you needed to double check your pharmacy otherwise I would have. Per Monica you are not allowed to have a life and are supposed to check your script ASAP, not wait until the next day, because no one gets their scripts in advance to prevent running out right? She said they checked inventory and it matches up, and supposedly two people count them before they are sent out. That's great if I could believe that, but the fact is the prescription was shorted of 10, and they were rushing to fill it claiming it just came in, yet the dr can confirm it was emailed shortly after 12. So it was either miscounted or someone pocketed some medicine. Maybe this is standard practice for this pharmacy, I am beyond blown away at Monica's lack of professionalism( asking me if I am saying two people miscounted and are lying, maybe I am but that's not how you represent your company, and telling me since I waited a day it's a done deal). I don't know their inventory count so that means nothing to me, you are asking me to believe you that you counted that right, yet you do not believe me when I am telling you the prescription was counted wrong. I didn't have expectations of how this would be handled as I have never had to tell a pharmacy they counted wrong, I know people who have and it got righted quickly by the pharmacy. I have asked for the owner Alan kennedy to call me, as I would like to explain this to him directly. In the end we will be taking our business elsewhere.
