Fantastic service and wonderful staff! I love this little home town drugstore and they are wonderful to help. I enjoyed the selection and the kind people. The store has cute kids' gear from Melissa and Doug so I try to support them too. They also have a great post office counter where you can drop off packages and letters. I guess my review is alittlle bias as a delivery driver I got to see the interaction between the staff and customers and it was heartwarming. The staff always went above and beyond for their customers. They made them feel welcome and like family. Most of the customers they have are from generations of family that continue to pass on their experiences to family members. They know all the customers by name and they don't hesitate to go the extra mile for them. I couldn't think of or find a more caring and professional staff. This is at both location Cotswald and Audrey Kell. Its the old school pharmacy service minus the soda fountain. This pharmacy is always pleasant to work with. It's nice to be able to support a local business as opposed to all of the large chains. We have to get a medicine compounded for our daughter with special needs. There are very few pharmacies that even do this anymore. Just recently we had issues getting the doctor to send a refill in for us. We were out of the medicine, and by the time they got the prescription, the person who compounds it was leaving for the day. It was a Friday afternoon and she would have been without the medicine until Monday. Even though this last minute situation was in no way their fault, the person stayed late just to fill it for us. This really meant a lot and we appreciate it more than they could know. Overall it's a great local pharmacy to support, and they provide excellent customer service! read more

The most friendly and painless post office experience I have ever had, as the employee was outgoing, personable and seemed genuinely happy to be there. To say I was shocked to experience this at a post office would be an understatement to say the least. Definitely a hidden gem! read more

I have been a loyal customer of Walker Drugs since they opened. As I live right off of Ardrey Kell, they are convenient & offer delivery service as well. I truly am at a loss to express just how much Jeff (the owner) & the entire Walker team have meant to me & my family over the years. For many years, I have battled a series of serious health issues, requiring lengthy hospital stays, numerous surgeries, many serious to life-threatening complications, which climaxed in admission to hospice. Through the grace of God, exceptional doctors, first-class healthcare, the unwavering, everloving support of my family and friends (mixed with more than a bit of luck, somehow keeping my sense of humor (and sanity, but some may debate that)...I have miraculously improved and my quality of life is good now. Love this store. It's always quick, they're very helpful, and has a post office located inside. It's a bit pricier than the typical CVS/Walgreen's, but it's worth the little extra. The staff are extremely helpful and courteous, and go out of their way to assist. Great independant drug store located in the Fountains Shopping Center at the intersection of Tom Short Rd & Ardrey Kell. The pharmacists here are very helpful and go out of their way to help clients. This store also has a little post office inside. They have a limited selection of vitamins, supplements, medical supplies, first aid items, and over the counter drugs. If you want something special that they don't have in stock, they are happy to order it for you -especially if you are looking for some sort of specialized medical supplies or equipment. The only downside in getting your RXs flled here is that they have more limited hours than the big 24 hour Ballantyne CVS. read more

O.K., this review may sound like I have some sort of financial or personal interest in this Drug store but I do not. Here is my only experience with these folks which occurred yesterday (3/19/20): My wife was prescribed a special medicine which had to be formulated from three ingredients, one of which is expensive and has to be ordered in a quantity many times more than her prescription calls for. We first tried to get Sam's Club Pharmacy to fill the prescription since we usually go there but they declined. Next we contacted CVS since they are the preferred provider on our insurance drug plan and they also declined. It seems to me that most Pharmacies avoid actually mixing prescriptions these days and prefer to dispense pills or only factory made medicines. One of these providers said that we could purchase the whole bottle of the expensive ingredient (the bottle was 300ml and we only needed 10ml) and they would make the medicine for us but the cost was prohibitive. After some research we discovered Walker's Drugs and gave them a call. They were super nice and promptly ordered the needed drugs, mixed the prescription and only charged us for the amount of each drug used. In addition, they delivered the prescription to our door for only $3.00. Who does this for $3.00 any more? The answer is Walker's Drugs and we don't live near them. The bottom line is that Walker's Drugs have real Pharmacists who can make the medicine that you need and are happy to do so. This is not a slam on other Pharmacies who provide very valuable services to many folks but in my personal opinion, if you need something special, you will be thankful for Pharmacies like Walker's Drugs. There doesn't seem to be many and I appreciate Walker's friendly, helpful and highly professional approach to serving the public. My wife does too and the medicine is working!!!!! Really fast pharmacy! I literally had my medication in about 8 minutes. It's an "old fashioned" type of drug store. Fast service, personable pharmacist, tons of merchandise. They have a lot of things CVS and Walgreens don't have, such as medical supplies. It's a bit of a drive from my house, but that's the only downfall for me. read more

Where does one find these days the most warm of welcomes and actual TLC and attention to your needs, really nowhere but at Walker's Drug Store. The selection of items on the shelves may be sparse however, they had in-stock a couple of pretty routine items that several CVS and Walgreen's locations did not. Would we return even though it can be a good 30 minute drive from where we live? You betcha. Can't find a nicer owner/pharmacist as well as those who wait on you behind the front desk.
