Came for a flu shot. This place blows. Some of the staff sucks, whole-heartedly. I was able to set up my appointment without issue, although being able to set an appointment two minutes prior to that appointment, when confirmation requests that you arrive to the appointment at least five minutes early, might cause some issues for others. I arrived at the pharmacy during a time they are having a renovation. There was no signage directing customers where to go for vaccination check-in. That particular counter is currently blocked. Other customers were also confused as to where to go, for prescription pickup, drop-off, etc. I waited on line and was called to the counter by an employee. When I got to the counter, someone from behind then handed her a package, and she proceeded to call out another customer's name, telling me to the wait until she took care of that customer, despite calling me up first. I waited again, and after some time, a young lady with long blonde and brown braids, acted as though she was checking me in, but did not check me in, and may have been confused regarding how to complete the process. Instead of asking a coworker for assistance, she sent me to another counter to pass the buck. After waiting an additional ten minutes, I had to ask aloud, if anyone was working at the counter. Finally someone came, took my info but could not find me in the system, and brought me back to the initial counter I went to when I first arrived. She kept saying she couldn't find me in the system. I told her repeatedly that I had an email confirmation and QR code. After repeating this multiple times, she finally scanned the code, which didn't work, and then manually entered the code, which did work. I was finally checked in and told to wait, which was not long. The person administering the vaccines called me and proceeded to give me the flu shot. The set up is quite unhygienic. She did not clean the area at all and I witnessed her vaccinate two other customers before me, without cleaning the surfaces before or after working with them. I would have thought that being in Pelham, this CVS would respect it's customers more, but based on the reviews and ratings I see online, this is not the case. It is unfortunate. If I had been elderly, not tech savvy, or uninformed, I would have waited there and been turned away due to the employees failure to exhibit the basics of customer service. Please reevaluate your pharmacy staff. They are lacking. I will say that I was met with much help while on the floor. After receiving my shot, I went shopping for some cold meds and other items. Two employees noticed that I looked a bite lost and asked me if I needed assistance. I was taken aback and probably would not have even bothered asking them, just based upon my experience with the girls in the pharmacy section. These women, however, were very helpful and directed me exactly where to go. I also needed help at self checkout and two other staff members assisted me when they saw that I was having trouble. I guess they're not all bad eggs but the pharmacy section definitely needs a revamp on attitudes and customer service. Wanted to add...you're supposed to received a discount for a future purchase, for getting your flu shot administered here but they never gave me anything or told me how to redeem the offer. I completely forgot about it until I took my husband to another location for his shot and he was able to purchase items with the discount. read more

The worst pharmacy imaginable. Right now I am waiting on a prescription that is 30 hours - hours not minutes - over when it was supposed to be ready. They are understaffed and the pace is in absolute shambles. Avoid at all cost.. read more

It's nice to see consistency in a chain store. Whether it's in Pelham (where my sister lives), Vero (Mom) or in the FiDi (where my daughter goes to school), I know I can count on CVS to deliver the goods. read more

The pharmacy staff there is fantastic but they are grossly understaffed. I needed to communicate something important to save time at pick up (they filled the wrong brand of medication) and no one is able to pick up a telephone. I waited on hold for 25 minutes and then gave up. I will now have to deal with a minor issue that would have taken 2 minutes on the phone at the pharmacy, which will waste my and more pharmacy staff time. Inefficient. read more

This CVS is in a high traffic area and becomes very busy around 5:00 pm. Consistently there are only a few cashiers on and long lines. The service is mediocre and there doesn't seem to be strong management especially in the evening. While mentioning this to the evening supervisor last night, I was told complaining to management won't get me anywhere because corporate is always cutting job.. Not a great response to someone who drops $100 each time she is there. I guess customer service isn't their specialty. The pharmacy is fine. read more

The staff at the pharmacy seem so uneducated and unwilling to help that I question whether any of them are pharmacists. Are they all "assistants?" EVERY time I pick up a RX in response to a phone call that prompts me to pick it up ("it's ready") when I arrive IT's NOT READY. They also seem to have "computer problems" every time I go and adding to the wait is the time they need to have to re-enter medical card information repeatedly. The pharmacist staff really never explains anything, fails to provide the warnings and are overall curt and rude. if you have a question they either don't know the answer or seem annoyed. they say then you can just leave the Rx here if you "have a problem with us." Huh? You're going there for medicine you obviously need and the answer to their frustration at actually being asked to do their job is to cut you off? in addition, they yell your name, date of birth and Rx across the back of the store for all to hear; not only embarrassing but also in violation of HIPPA privacy. This is my go-to neighborhood pharmacy. The store is almost always clean and stocked with what I'm looking for. The after-holiday sales are great! The cashiers are usually friendly and fast. Pharmacy staff are professional and my prescriptions are usually filled faster than they estimate, if I'm in the store waiting. Returns aren't a problem. The length of their receipts are crazy long - conserve the register tape please! LOL read more

The store is well kept and very clean. The line for check out was a little long but when the manager did see it he got some one back there very quickly. It will be my pharmacy of choice from now on. read more
