FRIENDLY PATRONS & EASYGOING... everyone had a laidback vibe. I generally don't comment too much on patrons/customers within a pharmacy but these folks were super helpful and knowledgeable. We had trouble finding the entrance to this CVS and some woman on her walker jumped right in to direct us in a kind way! I got a nice vibe immediately. Staff were professional and on good terms with local customers. Some even stopped the line for a quick chat. The wait time was unfortunately affected, but at least there was quality service. These people are hopeless. Their incompetence is exceeded only by their stupidity and rudeness. Aside from my specific comments below, it's worth noting that the mounds of garbage and excrement that the homeless population who live there have contributed to this store make this location truly memorable, but not in a good way. Yesterday, I called their automated service to confirm my prescription was ready, which the AI voice confirmed. But alas, when I went there, it was not ready at all. After a half-baked explanation, the pharmacist/clerk informed me that if I didn't mind wasting a full hour waiting around, they could manage to fill it. I demurred, and said I would come by today, which I did. The CVS website said this store was OPEN, so this time i walked over there to pick it up. I got in line to wait, and after a bit of waiting I was informed that they were closing for lunch. (There is a tiny notation on the website under the prominent word "OPEN" saying they closed for lunch like this ... nice job, CVS). It didn't matter that I was already waiting in line, and no matter that it was my second try. Even the US post office doesn't get away with that kind of terrible service -- and they're a monopoly -- but CVS does. These people clearly hate their customers. read more

Absolutely terrible experience. The woman who worked the drive through and answered the phones is one of the least professional and helpful people I have ever experienced in the customer service world. She was so rude in the drive through and then hung up on me before I could talk after waiting for 30 minutes on hold. I stopped by this location in the evening a week ago, after visiting Phoenix Art Museum (to look at the "Generation Paper: Fast Fashion of the 1960s" display about outfits made of paper) right across the street. I checked out the Christmas aisle to see if the they had anything I had wanted to add to my decor for this year. I found 3 small red & green house ornaments that would perfectly adorn my wreath, 2 (hard-to-find) small red & green wreath holders, and a tall snowy-red bottle brush tree. Can I say 'score' (wink). The young cashier I had was polite. She made sure to bag my purchases carefully knowing that they were Christmas items. She directed me when I had a question and when I asked about the confusing entrance / exit (which could've been design ed better). Prices were average. This location is okay for downtown. Could give zero stars if I could. The last time I visited I was in the drive through with one car ahead of me for over an hour and a half. Not sure what was the issue but looking inside there were over ten people waiting in line inside as well. Was adequately staffed and the staff did not seem concerned about anyone's time. It should not take hours to pick up a prescription that has already been filled. Additionally, customer service isn't pleasant at all. Very rude when I did get to the window. CVS with no moneygram computer so you have to call moneygram which takes alot longer. That became a moot point because the manager rudely said they could not do moneygram payments like they are contracted to do. Walked in to store and was greeted nicely and offered a cart. Proceeded to ask to use restroom and was told that someone was cleaning it. I went back to the restroom and not only did they only have 1 restroom but they didn't have anyone cleaning it like I was told,then I waited til someone came out and went into the restroom and it was disgusting, just filthy. I have been unable to acquire my prescriptions from the Pharmacy at this location. I was told upon my first attempt to pick up my medication that they were unable to process the orders as they were on hold until confirmation could be made with my prescribing doctor. Since then, my doctors office has not been contacted by any pharmacist trying to resolve whatever matter has placed my order on hold. Worse yet, my doctors office can't reach them, as they were faced with waiting on hold for over 20 minutes, and I myself have tried to contact the pharmacy three times now over the phone and have also been unable to get my call through to speak to anyone. What is going on with your phone system?! What are we supposed to do? You won't call my doctor, and we can't get ahold of you... read more

I had an appointment to get COVID booster shot here since I wanted to get it on Sunday and this place was the only place in the valley that I could make an appointment. So I drove from Surprise to here Sunday afternoon and when I got there the pharmacy was closed. So I told the employee of this CVS that I have an appointment. Then , she rudely told me that the pharmacy was closed and she didn't know why. She looked so annoyed. I didn't receive any notice that they would cancel my appointment! A lot of weirdos shopping and/or loitering around the area. Hey, it feels like home when I shop at this sketchy CVS Pharmacy store, which is also walking-distance from my hotel. Though there isn't much around the area, this 24-hour CVS Pharmacy/store has everything I needed and then some. There is also a Chase ATM-machine at this location. At least, I know where there is an ATM machine in Phoenix. Despite being a stranger in Phoenix, the friendly clerks treated me well. Update on this location, I have a daily prescription I need to refill every 30 days. I went here today to refill and they told me they couldn't fill the prescription for SIX days. They assured me there was absolutely nothing that could be done. The fact that 2/3 of these reviews are 1 star should tell you what service you'll get here. And the street people are least of the problems at this CVS. Pharmacy staff are unhelpful, and sometimes downright rude. They are often OUT of your drug, or don't have your Rx filled when they say. Selection and stocking of OTC products is equally bad. Tolerated this for years. It wasn't great before the pandemic, and now its horrible. We've finally transferred all Rx's elsewhere and hope to never go back. Even before COVID, this pharmacy was awful. I'd send in a prescription for refill and a week later they still hadn't processed it. They are always 2-3 weeks behind on processing refills, but when I go in the staff is always chatting and not working. So frustrating! You think they would hire more staff in the pharmacy, but it's been over a year of trying to get prescriptions from there (they have the only drive thru pharmacy close to our home). In all seriousness, this place is a joke. They are so overwhelmed and behind that they can't even answer the phone. I feel so bad for their pharmacy crew. CVS should really do something to help this location out. I've been coming here for 2 years and over the last few months, I've witnessed it become the worst pharmacy I've ever encountered. My prescription has been days late for my last 2 refills, which left me without my medication. My roommate was prescribed an antibiotic that she was allergic to. She called her doctor to have another one filled. This CVS prescribed her the same antibiotic as the first one instead of the new antibiotic. When she tried to get the correct prescription, they gave her a very rude response and neglected to fill the prescription until over a week later. Luckily, she found better service elsewhere before that. Now, I'm waiting to get my prescription which was supposed to be filled today by 11am. Of course it was not ready. I tried calling but they are not even accepting calls. So after this refill, I will most definitely be getting my prescriptions filled at another pharmacy. I just hope this review will help someone out by avoiding this place. Or even better, I hope CVS reads this and hires more pharmacy staff at this location because they certainly can not stay afloat. Absolutely horrible. Prescriptions are never ready no matter how long they have had the prescription. I dread going to this place. It's always a frustrating and negative experience. This is not a COVID issue. This pharmacy was pathetic prior to COVID and I don't have the same negative experiences at other CVS locations. They have absolutely no understanding of the standards of professional conduct required of medical professionals. If I could give this pharmacy 0 stars I would. Avoid this location like the plague. Do yourself a favor and have your Drs. write your prescriptions to another Pharmacy like Walgreen's, Central and Osborn. They consistently have the most incompetent staff working there. They do not care how long you have been waiting in the in store line or drive through line. Today I waited 30 minutes for a second prescription to be filled. and decided to go in the store and waited through that line only to have them tell me it would be another 30 minutes after I had already waited nearly an hour in total. I regularly buy skin care products from here. Sometimes Vitamin pills. Just like any other CVS. Very well maintained and the staffs were helpful. A good thing about CVS you can get vaccination anytime and you don't need appointment. I really have to give it up for the Pharmacy at this particular locations. The Pharmacists are all so incredibly informed, kind, and empathetic of all of their patients needs. I've found that the entire staff beyond the Pharmacists are also amazing, patient, informed, and personable. They deal with so much on a day to day basis, and still find a way to be kind. I have never had a bad experience here before. Sure, I have had to wait inside for a prescription before. However, it's certainly not because they are trying to inconvenience me in any way. Oh my God ... this place is the absolute worst ... it took them THREE MONTHS to change my Dr.'s fax number (they said it had to be done at Headquarters!) ... they regularly gave me double the amount of my 'sript ... it takes a good 15mins to get a pre called in prescription (EVERY TIME!). I have never come here to fill a prescription and before the CVS opened in CityScape this was my closest drugstore. But I still make the trip here if I am out driving around and not walking downtown. They have done a good job of maintaining the exterior to make it look modern and clean. If you have never been there before it can be a bit confusing as to where the entrance is, it's off the parking lot to the east. It is across from the McDowell light rail stop whic is convenient and as it is in an eclectic area, many of its patrons are also eclectic.
