So I called a few days ago to confirm this store could fill a balloon with helium and was told yes. Walked in at 7:03am this morning... waited, walked around, called out.. not a soul in site! The bar was already pretty low, but somehow this place has managed to get even worse. After calling 2x this weekend to refill an RX and being put on hold for 30+ minutes each time, I hung up. Who has time for that? Decided to show up in person and see what the deal was, thinking there would be a line wrapping around the corner to greet me. But guess what? THERE WERE NO CUSTOMERS THERE. How does a business who has 3-4 employees working behind the counter with zero customers to serve make their customers wait on hold for 30+ minutes?! I tried calling back at 8am today right when they opened, and STILL managed to be out on hold for 15 minutes... like HOW?! Having a pharmacy you can trust is essential, and this place ain't it. When this issue first started happening in 2021, I chalked it up to a worker shortage and COVID, but now that we're passed that it's clear what the culprit is: blatant incompetence. There are SO many better pharmacies out there than this CVS. After 8 years, dozens of botched RX orders, and countless hours spent on hold, today marks the day I give my business to one of them. Really disappointed to come back in here tonight to see that Michelle, the woman who refuses to wear a mask in a PHARMACY, is still working there. Also, the cashier at the front of the store had her mask below her nose. I get a text today saying I have a scrip ready. I stood there for about 15 minutes waiting for someone to even acknowledge me standing there. They have a Chatty Cathy working there that talks about her personal life to all of the customers while the pharmacist rings people up. Small with big heart! This location will fit my needs especially small items of ooooops I ran out of something. It has milk, drinks, snacks, toilet paper, toiletries, pharmacy & etc. this location will be smaller than the normal CVS but for Arcadia area it is better than what is currently not available for quickie runs. The staff at this location are really friendly & helpful. They had all the sale items available to purchase from their circular that I wanted. And again service was exceptionally friendly which is key to me, as well as, convenience. PS: Pharmacist @cvs_extra #cvspharmacy was great in explaining OTC meds before pharmacy closing hours on phone. Came in after they were closed but realized had to get OTC w pharmacist: she asked if I could pay by credit card since cash register was already taken but was able to sell to me after hours w credit card. Very very very very very poor customer service. Don't even waste your time going to this place. I went in CVS to see if they had any Grinch plush dolls and as I was walking down the aisle, the staff member push the security button requesting for them to do a security walk down the aisle I was in. They stereotype me just because I was wearing a jacket when it was 55 degrees at night time outside. Instead of going off and cussing at them and all that, I did contact the corporate office. The regional director did get back to me and he contacted that store and let them know about the situation and he also directed them not to be pushing security buttons on people and possibly accusing people are stealing just because they're wearing a jacket. read more

I can't say enough good things about Joey at this CVS location. After leaving my home in Seattle rather quickly in March, I realized that I would need a refill on my medication. I called the pharmacy I use in Washington and they said CVS would need to call them and request my prescription. CVS called them several times and I called several times, but Bartell Pharmacy continued to give us the run around for a month! I won't even go into all that, but I now have my heart medication, thanks to Joey at the 39th and Camelback CVS. I spoke with him only once and he called my doctor in Seattle, got my prescription, filled it and called me back within 12 hrs. Although the robot dial system was a pain in the ass to deal with, when I finally came to be able to speak with a live person, they were extremely friendly and willing to help me find an item. They went immediately to look and came back in a timely manner and did not keep me waiting. I was shocked at how quickly the conversation was finished. read more

To wait TWENTY minutes for someone to answer the phone, to find out if your prescription is ready, and then when they finally answer and you tell them that you waited TWENTY minutes and they immediately hang up on you! Disgraceful! My experience with this location has been this: The pharmacy does not ever answer their phone without a ridiculously long wait and more often than not, I end up hanging up because I can no longer wait. They do NOT read the prescriptions sent to them. EVERY SINGLE TIME my doc sends one in, they ignore the instructions and I end up making wasted trips to pick up the wrong prescription or going through the time-consuming motions of trying to find out if my Rx is finally ready, days after it was due. This isn't just a rant from a customer that's in a bad mood, this is the regular routine of this particular pharmacy. This location does not have a drive-thru, so there is no reason that they should be so busy, that a customer has to go through so much to get a simple answer. We scheduled an appointment weeks ago to get a covid booster. We received two confirmation texts on different days. When we showed up for the shots there was not a single person in line and the four pharmacists and assistants were just standing there talking and the girl made sure to finish her personal conversation for a few minutes and then slowly walked over to greet us. We said we were here for our appointment and snootily and condescendingly said " HAH oh no, we're not doing any shots today." The pharmacist himself said they were way behind and we'd "just have to figure it out". Well, that snide attitude is unprofessional- at best. The system is obviously capable of automatic texts and they could have sent everyone a text saying that the shots were canceled for the day. Instead, we wasted quite a bit of time because of their egocentric attitude. The thing I really disliked is I could tell they enjoyed giving that kind of bad news to a stranger. They probably get yelled at by patients all the time because it was obvious that they certainly got their jolly's knowing they wasted our time like that. If they were so behind why were all four of them just standing around an empty pharmacy telling personal stories on the clock. Be careful when insulting strangers, you have no idea what their capabilities are and how far some may go to settle a grudge. read more

The girls are rude as ever here,my son tried to do my return for me and he had my receipt and my card to do the refund ,the girl said he needed his ID TO do it ,, so he came back to the car and said he forgot his ID so I had to go in and DO IT WHILE SICK. ...when I did they didn't ask ME for my ID ! This was such a welcomed addition to the already incredibly convenient area. I'm writing a review and giving 5 stars because they ALSO NOW SELL LIQUOR!!! Great assortment of grocery goods- at price for the convenience. But CVS has a pretty awesome coupon system if you play your cards right. The staff is friendly and helpful, and I LOVE the pharmacists. I just starting getting my prescriptions filled here as its within walking distance from my apartment- the pharmacists already know my name! They offer great advice and can clarify any questions you have about your prescription. Great location, great selection, great staff. read more
