I moved to the area a little under a year ago and D's market has been my go to place for everything. They sell whatever you need and the good part is, if they don't have it then they will get it for you. Every single worker is so nice and personable that they make you feel wanted in the store. There are also items like dish soap, bathroom toiletries, and bagged sugar, salt and flour. Hours: open 7-10 most days! Long hours make it convenient to swing by and stock up on whatever you need! i'm new in scottsdale and i have to agree with the consensus. this is a really friendly store. they had the one energy drink, venom, i cannot find anywhere else. i chatted a bit with the manager, i think owner, and he even offered a complimentary drink that i turned down. they also had watermelon poppi which, again, i cannot find anywhere else i love those "pockets" that have stuff that's hard to find read more

Ds isn't always the most affordable option but their friendly staff treat you like family which is well worth the extra few cents of merchandise. They have a very good selection of craft beers, typically open pretty late and open early every morning. It's a reliable source in a pinch for those who live close by, it's clean and it's become staple in neighborhood for the community it serves. Looking for some beer within walking distance from our hotel and this was the closest. Walked in and I'm greeted immediately with a "Hey bro, how's it going?" I told the guy I was from out of town looking for some good local beer to which he proceeded to break down by size of the brewer. He then started telling me about the beers and where they were from and how they tasted. Then after telling me all of that he said "buy two singles and I'll give you one on the house!" This was my favorite neighborhood corner store until today. It's a family business - the mother and son are wonderful people. I've come in there to buy my wine and vapes solely from them because of how sweet they both are. Today was different. I dealt with the owner of the business - the father. Bought 1 bottle of wine and 1 puff bar from him. I got into my car, opened the puff bar and it was faulty. My fellow vape smokers (yes it's bad) we all know what a faulty disposable vape does right? It starts leaking and overheating at the first puff. Most stores will exchange it for you. After getting into my car and smoking the bunk puff bar, I walked back into the store to show the owner. His response? That the puff bar was "very hot and wasn't the one he'd sold me". Are you serious!? I had to stand there arguing with this man in front of other customers and assuring him that I wasn't trying to scam him. So much for being my favorite corner store, his last word was that "you're going to smoke them for the first time in front of me from now on". Thank you for that. Genuinely loved your wife and son, you guys were my favorite wine spot and I thought I'd be a longtime patron. Guess not. By the way, all of your pomegranate puff bars are faulty - the one you replaced my "stolen" one with leaked and overheated within 10 minutes. Nice work. read more

Nobody in Scottsdale sells flour after 10pm except for D's Market. Certainly not after 1am. Trust me, I checked. Fortunately I called D's ahead of time and they said not only do they sell flour, but that I didn't need to rush over to beat their 2am closing time because they'd hang out a while longer for me. That didn't end up being necessary, but the gesture was appreciated. Because of D's, there will be a fresh baked Christmas bread of some sort or another, I don't know, I'm not the one making it, I just found the flour. But really, how do you bake 3am cookies here? I cannot believe that I am the FTR D's. From what I hear, D's has been an Old Town landmark for a long time now (at least 4 years). It used to be a Circle K. As a vegan (and having other dietary restrictions) I SUPER APPRECIATE their wide selection of snacks. They have stuff I'd never even heard of before. Gluten free people would also have a field day... Stopped by D's market tonight to confirm the reviews on the vegan snack selections. We were not let down. The selection isn't huge but it's different and pretty good. I saw vegan jerky in the too. BEST BAKLAVA IN THE STATE OF AZ!! D's is a wonderful Mom and Pop shop. I stop there almost 3 times a week. They are wondeful people and truly care for their customers. They specialize in beer and wine, great selection of import beers and wine. They will personally buy stuff for you if you have a preference for a certain type of beer or wine. Being from LA and also being gluten free, it's hard to find something healthy to eat before going clubbing and trashing my body at Old Town scottsdale. The people there are great (like Chris the homie) and they got all the healthy snacks you could think of!! It was like I was back home at my fufu Whole Foods, just a little cheaper for the same quality!!! The charm of this market lies in it's convenience-store feel, while it offers healthy, vegan and vegetarian snack and food options! It's a nice surprise and a different and creative take on what we traditionally know as convenience stores. You get the sense they want to make healthy foods accessible to everyone, which is often lost these days in "health"-oriented markets. This quaint, family owned business has a good heart pumping through it's aisles. The family is kind and generous and is open to feedback and suggestions. You get the sense they truly want to serve their customers in the customers best interest. The spicy vegan nacho cheese is delicious and great with chips (they have these flax seed ones which are some of the best I've tasted) and salsa and on enchiladas. Really got my queso fix which I have been missing. They have a variety of vegan cream cheeses which also taste like the real deal. You wont be disappointed with their vegan offerings! i've been here a few times, and they do actually close at some point during the day because at 7am one morning, they were closed. but it's like any other convenience store, but not as glitzy and there's no buffet of cheap coffee, donuts, or lunch-ables like the modern circle k's. what sets D's apart is the family that owns it. while there one afternoon, the owner, George, greeted everyone as if he'd known them for years. he even knew their names. Very friendly place, family run. Comparable to a Circle K. I dinged them for stars because of some freshness issues. I bought a bottle of soda that was flat, and chips that ended up being right up against the expiration date. I suspect business is a little slower at D's so inventory doesn't turn as fast. read more
