For the most part this is a decent location for a CVS Pharmacy. Not much can be said about the store or pricing as it is basically the same throughout the chain. Some great customer service and the employees seem to genuinely do care about the customer in here. When I was at the register the clerk wanted me to know that I might be missing out on the toothpaste I was buying and the sale they had going on. However, I only needed the one. I moved to Brookline because it was a walkable area for my basic shopping needs and this is the only 'grocery store' within a reasonable range for me. The staff at this location are very kind and always willing to help. I am always able to find all of my personal items like shampoo and soap here but the food options are limited, I'm sure that is because of the store size. I only recently started using their pharmacy services and I will say that the Express pick up is pretty much the easiest thing ever. You pay on the app, they let you know when you can pick it up, they give you a bar code, and when you show it you get your medication... I'm a big fan. The store has ample parking and you can exit onto Brookline Blvd or Pioneer Avenue, either have quick access to the city. read more

Being a mom, I'm a frequent customer of the pharmacy here and the pharmacists are very efficient, caring and are always willing to give advice whether it be about something over the counter or prescription. The interns are always very knowledgeable and offer excellent "people skills". The counter staff are so nice as well and are always compliant with hippaa regulations and never seem to mind to ring up other items in your cart in addition to your meds. As far as the rest of the store, you can't beat the price of the cvs brand of otc meds and can often find decent sales on beverages and soft drinks. The make up selection is good too for a drug store and they often offer bundle sales. I stay away from items like dove body wash and shampoo though as those prices seem to be astronomical- for those prices you could almost go to Neiman Marcus or a least ulta haha. The 2 mile receipts are annoying but they do give decent coupons and cash rewards. My favorite guilty pleasure in this store though is the unique holiday decor. What to say about a chain pharmacy? I get my prescriptions here and always get good service. Just thought I'd mention them.

My experience today made this a 3 star. Otherwise, it would be a 5. I waited in line for 5 minutes until another cashier hopped onto a register and took the 2nd person in line. The only cashier that was checking out customers was moving a tad slow, which is fine. But, then you need to have another cashier up there. Then, when it was finally my turn, the cashier didn't greet me or anything. She just asked, "do you have your cvs card?". I responded, "hello, no I have the telephone number". She still didn't greet me. After my transaction I said "I don't need the receipt, thank you". SHE STILL DID NOT SAY A WORD. Not a single "thank you", "have a great day", etc. Nothing. If you're going to be the last face someone sees when they leave, at least make it so they want to come back. read more

The pharmacy is AWFUL. I've been talked down to for the last time. They constantly mess up prescriptions and blame the doctor, or worse, have the nerve to blame you! They are either unable or unwilling to advocate for their pharmacy customers. Also, I've tried to cancel the auto refill on my prescription for the past 4 months, and every month I get a call saying my prescription is ready at least a week before I need it. They are too busy, constantly have pharmacy students from Pitt cycling through there, it's disorganized and the customer service is abysmal. I'm done paying multiple copays for their mistakes and being treated like I'm a dummy because I didn't go to pharmacy school. I'll go elsewhere, and I recommend you do as well. read more

I'm only giving this a 2 because they have good friendly service in the front part of the store. The past 3 visits to the pharmacy have been a disaster. The one lady told me my name was misspelled when it wasn't. It really has an s not a c. She then called me odd because my name was spelled differently. Today's visit had me waiting almost an hour when they quoted 15 min. Said I must not have heard them call when we were sitting right there. I wish it wasn't with in walking distance. I really don't need to be spoken to in a condescending tone every time I get a script filled. read more

This is just a pharmacy review vs store. Cvs is the last place I will go for my prescriptions now. I've used the one in Johnstown where my dentist is located several months ago and that one is friendly. This one not so much. They never signed their contract with my last insurance company so I stopped going there a while ago but I used to be a regular customer at this location. I went there for the first time in a long time since my usual pharmacy was closed for the rest of the holiday weekend. I just missed their closing time. I thought that Cvs would maybe take my new insurance now so I went there since my medication was already three days past the refill date so I was obviously out. I was worried that my usual pharmacy would be closed until Tuesday. They wouldn't fill my prescription that I have been taking for years even though my insurance was fine. It was so bizarre. I ended up going home in tears. Some sensitivity training about those with disabilities that can't be seen with the naked eye, autoimmune diseases, sounds like it is needed. read more
