Sorry but must tell customers of THE CVS policy for prescription I just picked up for…read moreGentaminicn. Ordered by my dermatologist. When I picked up the prescription, it was in a bag stapled Shut. This is normal. It was picked up March 7. The expiration date was September 2026. 6 months !!! it even had a handwritten tab stating expiration date September 2026. Like they were glad they got a sucker the take there dated drugs. I repeat, That is a usage date of only six months. What's that all about? So I called the pharmacy and talked to a pharmacist. I told him I did not open it and I wanted to get a new one with an expiration of at least a year. They saI'd they couldn't do that. We went back-and-forth and not in an argumentative way. No bending By CVS. I Lost. This is wrong. $22 and I'll be able to use it for a short period of time and if my dermatologist pulls me back in for a couple more opportunities where I may need this, I may have to buy a new one if I want to stay within the expiration date. So yes, CVS Bethel Park. THE RATING IS CORRECT. ONE only because I CAN'T GO ANY LOWER.

The staff here were so proficient! Caring, understood the mission and had magically figured out all the administration before I'd arrived. Notably, they were busy but gave me and everyone 100% of their attention; the line moved quickly! Overall very consummate professionals and I greatly appreciated their help in my time of need.

I never had many if any prescriptions so I guess it's hard for me to accurately say if it's gone down hill or not but I know in the past few months that I have had several new prescriptions and the entire experience at Giant Eagle has been horrid. I really do hope that the management reads these reviews and takes them seriously as honest constructive criticism and tries to make things better. Trying to call the pharmacy and actually speaking to a person is nearly impossible. I had to call 20 times over 2 days to finally get through. Red flag there. Not enough staff. Secondly, when you finally do get through - you are greeted with overly rude, condescending and outfight hostile staff. Nobody should have to put up with that kind of treatment. NOBODY I blame management, the workers are just a reflection of their work environment and the supervisors they work for. Something is seriously wrong here. Not going back

They gave me pills that had someone else's name on it and tried to say, "it happens sometimes!" Come on people this isn't like getting the wrong food order, it's medication, life altering stuff! I will not go back again... Total idiots, that get paid tooo much.

There is a rule that you can fill your prescription two days early as long as thirty days had passed since your last refill. This CVS apparently eliminated that and now you have to run out of your prescription to refill your new prescription. My doctor specifically suggested I fill two days early in case there is ever a problem, so this is inconvenient and against my doctor's wishes. It's sad to see a pharmacy controlled so tightly by the government they do a disservice to their customers health. While the FDA gets more restrictive and unnecessarily cruel by the day, patients are left fighting to get basic medications for care their doctor wants them to receive. Lastly, one pharmacist I am familiar with let me refill a controlled substance two days early (per usual) as long as I paid in cash because the rule is really from the insurance agency not the government, but the pharmacist I spoke to the next day lied and said that wasn't possible. I checked the Internet and government regulations in PA as well as CVS and the second pharmacist was in fact lying. It's in her right to do so, but seems cruel when a doctor is telling the patient it's beneficial to fill two days early. The second pharmacist treated me like a drug seeker, a more and more common occurrence as the FDA makes up "epidemics" and "shortages". It's such a sad fact about how this country treats healthcare.
