CVS Pharmacy - Drugstores Near Me - Port Hueneme, California

This is absolutely ridiculous! I'm here to pick up my prescriptions that are conveniently on auto refill, and I received my text letting me know they're ready and I'm waiting in this long line that's taking forever because they only have 2 people working 3 registers "trying" to service everyone (and providing mediocre service at best) AND Now they have a new sign up for "using the app" orders and people are walking up and getting helped before all of us who've been standing here waiting FOREVER! 20 minutes to pick up a prescription is pretty sad. And all of us are literally being penalized for not using the app because your pharmacy is allowing them to be serviced with priority over all the rest who've been waiting for way too long - seriously? There's elderly people waiting, some with cains, and one old man was telling me "he doesn't use a computer so he's doomed" TERRIBLE Service! To be fair everyone should just wait in one line! Whether you use the app or have your prescriptions on auto refill or just plain picking up! CVS you guys really need to re-evaluate the system in place! I do not recommend this location and will be switching to the one on Ventura Rd. read more

i had been going to the rite-aid pharmacy forever until they closed & my scripts were sent the channel islands CVS. went in for my first refill with them. 1) slow moving long line, even with quite a few pharmacy workers behind the counter, an actual surprising number of workers. rite aid seemed to rock & roll with 3-4, CVS had 8? 10? 2) one prescription was not available & i was only made aware at the counter. i had to go to newbury park to fill it. 3) the pharmacist needed to speak with me before i was handed my purchase. she did not take me to the 'consult' desk - away from that still very long line. she then proceeded to tell me i needed to buy a laxative & where they were located. loudly. multiple times. waving over the heads of the workers on each side of her, directing me to look over. i dont know if this is a HIPPA violation.. definitely was a violation of my privacy. 4) female pharmacist is astoundingly rude & unprofessional. she completely ignored what i was saying during this interaction. i said i did not need the product she was recommending, she just continued to loudly announce it. this basically went on until i loudly announced i was familiar with this medication. i truly believe this was some weird discriminatory behavior related to the meds i was picking up. i've transferred everything to CVS on oxn. blvd. the pharmacist & techs are the complete opposite. friendly, helpful & kind. i'll never go back to the CI store. read more

Normally, I don't write negative reviews, but I had a bad experience today. I received a text from CVS saying my medicine was ready for pickup on Tuesday. I had another medication to pick up in a few days, so I went to pick it up on Friday, but the medicine wasn't prepared, and the cashier told me to ask the drop-off to check the status. At the drop-off, I was told the medicine was not ready and asked me to come back later. When I showed the text, she said, "I don't know why, but it's not ready. We can prepare it in 15 minutes." So I waited about 10-15 minutes, but when the medicine was ready, I was told I had to go back to the end of the line. I saw the line was very long, which made me upset. I always think ahead about when and how I should get my errands done, so I can get them done efficiently. If it's not reliable, why should I subscribe to texts? Why do I have to come back later? Why do I have to wait more?? And they acted as if it was my mistake, which made me feel even more uncomfortable when it wasn't. After I complained about that, they finally let me in the line, and I could pay sooner. It would have been better if they had offered to do so before I asked. I will change my pharmacy. read more

this place sucks. every time i go to pick up at the pharmacy the line is all the way down two aisles. only one person at the desk to help customers at 5pm when people stop there from work?!! and the skip the line sign?! that skip the line is bull! i waited 15 minutes behind a bunch of people & some one can just walk up & cut in front of me in line because they have the stupid cvs app?! no bueno! it is so rude for people to cut in line under that cvs skip the line sign! shame on cvs for putting that in the store at all! i can totally get the app too but i think it's so horrible to cut in front of 5 other people who have been in line for a long time already! this cvs is horrible. with a line this line on a daily basis you should have at least 3 people at the desk helping customers! not one! and get rid of the darn skip the line. it's rude and not fair to those who are already in line and have been waiting! horrible store and pharmacy! read more

They have a lot of everyday items you need here. The parking lot is busy during lunch so you might not get front parking directly. They have a lot of items would get if you moved into a new place. They also sell tools. I found cereal for $1.99 on sale. Some items like pet food costs a little more than a typical grocery store. read more

Five star review is for the customer service ONLY! Specifically Denise, who was maybe a manager???, anyways - she was super nice, helpful, and informative. (My receipt says Hannah but I truly remember her saying Denise) I needed help getting something out of a locked case and she was the first person I saw. Even though she was actively restocking, she graciously helped me very quickly. She then told me about CVS' RED card and the benefits of it and whatnot and wasn't pushy to get me to sign up. Stopped by right when they opened as I had a few coupons I wanted to use. No cashiers available and when I asked someone for help I got a "there's a button up front you could've pressed for someone." I went up front pressed the button and the same lady showed up and said, " I'm here already" with an eye roll. The entire transaction was with a bunch of attitude for no reason really. I get it you're low staffed but come on now. This brought my caffeine buzz way down :/ Plus .. I got a few new lipsticks. read more

Everyone in this store (Port Hueneme) is so friendly. I am especially impressed with the Pharmacy staff. They are so competent and ready to help. They make new prescriptions so easily handled and I especially appreciate how they have helped me to obtain medications for extended trips out of the country. This Review is for the store & not the pharmacy. Hopefully the pharmacy works out it's kinks as mentioned in the previous reviews. This CVS is located in the Mandalay Village Shopping area in Port Hueneme. I go here if I need to get something quick. Like a snack or a beverage. They have plenty of options. I usually pick up health items & OTC Meds if I need it fast... If I'm really short on time, I can pick up a greeting card & a gift card at the last minute if I forgot someone's birthday. I like how I can go in, find what I need & be out faster than writing this review... Also, another plus was how convenient it was to be able to upload pictures from my phone & be able to have them printed & picked up @ CVS the same day. I have the CVS App, so I can look to see if the item I need is at this location or at a different one. I also look for & use coupons from the app, since I don't enjoy paying more than I need to... So far I've had great customer service at the check out counter. If no one is at check out, just ring the bell. read more

A worker named Britney Jo was passive aggressive with me and rude her attitude was not welcoming at all. I simply was asking for assistance in a department, she then comes and says I have to stop pressing for assistance. Why would I stop pressing for assistance when no one is coming to help me get the item I wanted? I waited over 10-15 minutes for one item. Worst employee ever she should get re-trained. read more

I would NEVER recommend this pharmacy to my friends or even my Worst Enemies. The lines are long and the staff is RUDE. I stood in FRONT of the pharmacist for 5 minutes- we even made eye contact- before he acknowledged my presence. Mind you he just got done assisting a customer who is Caucasian and had sandy blonde hair. I on the other hand am dark skinned and have dark hair. Hmm- discrimination much????? The only reason my prescription is going to this place of rudeness and incompetence is because Rite Aid closed. Otherwise I would NEVER trust these idiots with my prescriptions. I felt like I got lucky, I had Just gone across the parking lot to be seen by Cottage Urgent Care. They called in a prescription for eardrops for me. I walked over immediately and was standing in the line for the pick up when I saw my phone indicating they got the order for the prescription and it could be picked up 2 1/2 hours later. It gave me an option for getting it earlier. By the time I made it up to the front of the line, the prescription was already filled. read more

The manager Chelsea was so rude to my aunt! She threw my aunt's receipt and toy she wanted to return and told her she cannot return them. When my aunt asked for store credit instead of cash back Chelsea got even more aggressive with her tone, along with her coworker, and told my aunt to leave and no longer come back. Avoid at all cost. I wish I would have stopped here first to review. But who thought a simple visit to the local drug store would require a review. First off If I could give a no star option I would. It's obvious that the staff here hates their job or management. They are completely under staffed, have little to no customer service training, the are slow at the registers and wait times are beyond me. Todays experience was beyond belief. Shame on me for going back. There was only one person if front of me and only one cashier open. No problem I can wait. 15 minutes later only to have someone else open up after I had already waited. He (Jonathan) couldn't be bother and was obviously upset that he had to open up. Asked for my phone number gave it to him. He said it wasn't in the system, gave him my wife's and it wasn't in the system. I knew it was because I was over charged the last visit last week when I was in and vowed never to come back. So once I got to my car I logged on and verified my information. Yes, it was there and active. Getting back to Jonathan. Not only did he not once look at me, address me, or face me. He rang up my two item total and slug my change at me without looking. At which point I asked him for a bag and my receipt. He knew at that point I was upset and changed his tune. I'm not a Bully or Small man. My advice to Mr. Jonathan you better watch who you pull this BS on. You may bite more off than you can chew someday. You're lucky I was patient. The next customer may not be as tolerant of your attitude. as for the store we're done. I will not give you another hard earned dollar. Started using them in 2008, found Hueneme Family Pharmacy in 2012, but they were sold last year so I ended up back at CVS. Only because they accepted a GoodRx discount card that nobody else would. I was at this location and I was trying to find an item. It took me at least seven minutes to find somebody to help me instead of helping me she pointed to the item. I still couldn't find the item then I asked for the manager the manager came up to me, she didn't even apologize for her employee. Horrible service. The girl working in 5/16/2023 at 8:30pm should be immediately fired. She was insulting rude and disrespectful. The guy at the counter has attitude issues. I bought just a couple of items and paid for them, which took less than 20 seconds. Then I asked him if I can put money on the card, which would take only a little longer. He told me to go make a line AGAIN. I don't know if it's new standard practice, but no other person in CVS anywhere else sent me back to make another line after I already stood in line. Needless to say, I just left the store without making the line again, and I highly doubt that I will be shopping in this store in the future. The problem is not the extra five minutes standing in line, I don't have a problem with that. It's the attitude of the employee, and I don't want to run into that person ever again if I go to that specific store. read more

Went for my COVID booster and only half the staff in the pharmacy were wearing masks. Even though they aren't required, people are coming in for medicines or vaccines.. why is the pharmacy not taking precautions around their patients? Or each other?! Cases are on the rise and a lot of senior citizens visit the pharmacy. Sad. read more
