We were staying at the Four Pounts Sheraton hotel very close to the Harbor Mart. I was scoping out places to eat nearby and saw the reviews for this place. We haven't been to this area in three years and they opened about three years ago so we have never tried it before But based on the reviews, we decided to stop in for lunch. The menu is divided between American offerings like hamburgers and some Mediterranean options as well as salads so a pretty good overall number of options. What a fantastic new deli and convenience store located in the Portside community in Ventura. It's super convenient for the locals and with a lot of nearby businesses it's nice to have a quick in and out spot to stop for lunch that isn't a sit down restaurant. I've been here twice now, once just for some goods like a drink and chips and also to try the deli. Both times my experience was really good. The store is impressively big. The staff are super nice, and it's very clean and organized inside. It's clear it's a newer development and it's very nice. Parking is also better than to be expected, while they don't have a parking lot, there are plenty of curbside parking spots for pickup or short dining parking. I'm sure on the weekends it can get a little harder to find parking but on weekdays I continue to have luck. As far as the deli side of the convenience store goes, they have a great selection and menu. Love that they have sandwiches, burgers, hotdogs and gyros made fresh to order. They have a nice griddle and everything visible to the customer - it's nice being able to watch the gal cook. While you can order in I'd also recommend their online ordering when in a rush, it's super convenient. We ordered gyros and macaroni salad to split. Food was definitely 5/5 for casual and on the go food. The gyros were surprisingly generous with the amount of meat they put on the pita - we were surprised but happy with the portion size. It's a super good value. The gyro was delicious in flavor and the macaroni salad was very good, as long as you don't mind a more Mayo based noodle, we definitely enjoyed it. Staff were nice and my order was ready for pickup right on time. Small suggestion is double check your order. Paid an additional $3 for sides of sauce for the pita and it was missing from the bag. It was no problem as when I told the manager he got it for me right away no fuss. They just get busy so smart to double check. We will be back and it was a good meal for a local market. read more

So I am already a big fan of the Oxnard Harbor Mart and this new location, closer to my work, did not disappoint. It is located in the newer development area in the Ventura Harbor, there is still a lot of empty business building there so parking is not really an issue, I'm sure that will not be the case in the near future. I always stick to the same sandwich here, the Nina Special and it was just as good as their location in the Oxnard Harbor. It is a nice little mart that has a little bit of everything for your trip if you are traveling or vacationing in Ventura. I only go for the sandwiches, but they do have a great selection for a quick-e-mart The prices for the sandwiches are a little higher than other similar places but, I feel it is warranted, they packed them with meat and veggies so you will not be disappointed with the size. read more

Stuff was very nice and friendly. It's a convenience store but they have nice selections so I also got a small bottle of wine. There is a cafe next to the store. You should stop by for gelato and coffee after meal. Near this store, there are some activities such as rental boats and paddle boats, so maybe that would be very convenient to get food and drinks before the activities. The macaroni salad was bland and basic and could absolutely use some spice or added ingredients. The BEST sandwich joint in the 805, hands down. Sparkling clean, delicious food, menu variety, great service, cool ambiance outside (also a cute area to sit inside). I didn't get her name but the blonde lady at the counter was soooo nice and upbeat, even offered to bring our sandwiches out to us. Got the sammiches with everything, including double meat. Absolute flavor bomb (still drooling). Their sauce really kicks it up a notch and the ingredients are fresh. They cook the pastrami with onions right there on the grill in front of you and it is served freakin HOT-- absolute game changer. The pastrami is cooked so perfect with great caramelization and crispy edges... phenomenal. The bread is perfect (made locally) and compliments the ingredients so well. I love finding places like this you can experience with others and you know it will be consistent. My friend tried it for the first time (after I bragged this place up for a bit) and he loved it. I was impressed with the overall area which is very clean and accommodating. I imagine weekend parking would be tough but during the weekday it was no problem. I was warmly greeted by a lady at the counter who assured me the quality of the food. I went with the Mamas special. The sandwich was huge. Packed with lots of meat, fresh toppings and homemade sauce.
