I was sober as I could possibly be, had a long day of taking care of the family, wanted a pint of grey goose. Stepped into their store, walked around to get a few snacks, go up to the counter and ask for a pint of GG. She proceeds to smirk and ask , "Are you sure you're ok to drive?" ---- ummmm I'm sorry ??? Excuse me?? YES, I'm dead sober and would like a drink , if you'll stop holding it hostage now for your interrogation, thanks. Talk about over stepping boundaries. If they truly want to weed out the drunks from the sober ones to "protect their business" , then they need a breathalyzer at the counter to just make people do that instead of accusing every person in there past 10 of driving there intoxicated. While cosiderably smaller than Lakeshore Market, they do have a wire selection of a couple very specific grocery items including birthday cakes in frosting. The lighting is extremely dim and the decor outdated, so it feels kind of old and dark. The craft beer selection Was decent and did include a nice variety of beers from Indiana's Three Floyds, which just recently owned distribution up into Michigan. I've seen Zombie Dust and Gumballhead quite a few other places come up but it was nice to also see Robert the Bruce (Scottish ale) and and Alpha King. They also had King Sue and a few other options from Toppling Golliath. But I'm airways hesitant to purchase IPAs from places that I don't seem to get a lot of foot traffic since you really want those to be as fresh as possible.
