A shout out to the kind gentleman who closes the store most nights (self check out, long brown hair, cute). His friendly demeanor is the only reason I continue to do business w this Safeway. But what happened tonight was a deal breaker. I was at the entrance of the store at 11:50 pm. I needed frozen strawberries for a recipe I'm trying out. An employee cracked the door to let somebody out then quickly pulled it shut. It was incredibly disrespectful. I asked through the window, can I grab a bag of frozen strawberries? I can be in and out in 2-3 minutes? She shouted at me "we're closed"! So I took the remaining 8 minutes that they should have been open, and calculated how much money a spent at Safeway in 2025= $22,148.80!!!!!! How dare they treat customers as if they are a burden.

The clerk opening it will escort you to the nearest register now set up in different departments. For example, I saw a new one set up in Men's clothing. What I would suggest is make the locked item your last purchase and you can pay for all your purchases then and not worry about the long checkout lines up front. I wonder though, how long this method will last? We all know how long it can take just finding an associate to open up the locked display. This location is not my regular store, but since the Walgreens in NE on my gym route recently closed, I stop in random Walgreens when I am out and about running errands. This review is about CVS corporate rather than this particular location as this location suffers due to poor management and a lack of support from the top. Twice I have had my flu shot and vaccine appointments cancelled, once with no notice until I showed up and now via text a few moments ago. They are perpetually understaffed and on a Monday the shelves are largely empty. The few employees they do have are as helpful as they can be but simply overwhelmed. The fact that the largest (9,490 locations) drug store chain in the US cannot staff their stores speaks to the ineptitude of senior management. Cannot wait to find a new druggist. read more

I have a controlled substance scrip and it's been somewhat of a continued problem but this time it was their error and not only were they awesome to look into it and fix it but they are doing this immediately so I can travel with my meds on my trip. CVS has a lot of great products, but there are a few areas that could be improved. The carpets in the store could use a good deep cleaning to make the space feel more inviting. Also, it can be frustrating to find someone to help unlock items kept behind locked cases. Adding more staff to assist customers with these items would really improve the shopping experience. read more
