The aisles feel a bit cramped, but everything is clean and well-maintained. Given the heavy traffic in the pharmacy, it's understandable the wait times are longer. This location stays very busy, and lines can wrap around the building. The staff seems overwhelmed at times, but I believe they're doing their best to keep things moving. Having seen the behind-the-scenes challenges of pharmacy work through my relative, I know how demanding it can be. It's clear they're likely short-staffed and doing what they can, so a little patience and grace go a long way. read more

WORST PHARMACY EVER! Take your business elsewhere it's not worth the hassle. The lack of professionalism, courtesy,and empathy of the employees that I encountered this evening was unfathomable. I just arrived home without the life-saving prescriptions I need for my husband despite sitting at the drive-through almost 30 minutes. The only indication that the drive-through may not be open was the sign that is used for their lunch break. So I proceeded to call the pharmacy and went through all of the various menus only to have it ring endlessly for 12 minutes and no one picked up. As I am disabled myself, I cannot go into the store so the drive thru is my only option. After waiting this long, and no response I begin to panic and started honking my horn. An African-American female came to the window and informed me that the drive-through is closed because they are "busy". I respond to her that there is no indication that it's closed and that no one is answering the phone and that I am disabled myself and cannot go inside. She tells me to hold on a moment, then a blonde woman comes to the window and tells me that the drive-through is closed and that they are busy and I indicate that I once again and disabled, and cannot go inside. She then explains to me that she cannot help me without helping the two cars behind me as well and I said once again that I'm disabled and that I've been waiting patiently for 30 minutes and she proceeds to say said "Well I'm not helping you" and closes the window in my face. A few moments later, someone returns and posts a new sign in the window indicating that the drive-through is closed. I am beyond myself furious. Especially mentioning to both employees that I was disabled they still did not help me and told me that they wouldn't. CVS is a pharmacy, NOT a fast food chain. This is simply unacceptable behavior from a person in the medical field. I feel discriminated against, and I am still not able to get the prescriptions I need for my husband. It may be the only 24 hour pharmacy in town, but with employees like this and the fact that in the end, I still don't even have the medications I need for my husband who is unwell I'm definitely going to be taking my prescriptions somewhere else. If you care about maintaining your sanity at all, avoid this pharmacy at all costs - especially if you are prescribed a controlled substance. Ninety-nine percent of the time I come to this pharmacy to pick up my ADHD medication, there is a new made-up rule or issue. Tonight was my last straw. I took my last Vyvanse capsule this morning (04/10). I am going out of town tomorrow, and I need to pick up my prescription tonight before I leave. When I got to CVS at 10:30 p.m., a young blonde girl with pigtails opened the pharmacy window after a few minutes, and she already seemed annoyed that I was even there. I told her I needed to get my Vyvanse prescription filled. They never answer the phone at this location, and for those who don't know, you cannot have any controlled substances filled through the app. You must go in person or call the pharmacy, but I digress. I explained to the pharm tech that I needed my Vyvanse filled and went ahead and told her that if they were out of stock of the generic (lisdexamfetamine), I would pay for the Vyvanse. This location has been out of stock of lisdexamphetamine for the last 3-5 months. I have been paying $150 a month for name-brand, even though my prescription is technically for the generic. The pharm tech looked behind her and asked the pharmacist if they needed a separate prescription for the Vyvanse, and he said yes; I explained to her that I had been picking up Vyvanse in place of lisdexamphetamine at that location for at least three months. She tilts her head back and smirks while shaking her head from left to right like I'm wrong. I ask if they have lisdexamfetamine, and she says no. I asked if they have Vyvanse, and she said yes, but I can't have it. I tell her I pay for it every month. She then looks at me, says, "Pharmacist," and waves her hands towards the pharmacist. When the pharmacist (a young guy with black hair) got to the window, he told me the same thing the pharm tech told me: that I needed an entirely different prescription and that it was an entirely different code, etc. I explained to him that I had been picking up my Vyvanse from this location with no issues regarding it being sent in as generic. I told him I pay every month for the name brand. He had no comment on that; he simply mentioned that he saw that I paid $150 last time. I asked if that was a new rule or an insurance issue, and he said no. He said it is a rule at all CVS locations. I know for a fact that is not correct. I called the 24-hour pharmacy in Belmont, North Carolina, I asked the pharmacist if I could get Vyvanse filled without a new prescription. He confirmed that I could get Vyvanse in place of lisdexamphetamine. He then asked for my name and DOB, to which I explained my prescription was at CVS on Celanese and that they told me I needed an entirely new prescription. He said that that was incorrect, that they (the pharm tech and pharmacist) were confused, and that I was correct. He explained that they could put in a patient request for Vyvanse instead of the generic. When I pulled back into the drive-through, the pharm tech didn't even come to the window. She asked for my name and DOB over the speaker. After some silence, she said in a condescending tone that she had already explained that I couldn't get my prescription. I informed her that was incorrect and that I spoke with the pharmacist at the Belmont location. I explained that they could put the Vyvanse in as a patient request, but she interrupted me and said, "Let me get the pharmacist." About three minutes later, a woman I'd seen multiple times before who had always been very pleasant came to the window. She's probably in her 40s-50s and has brownish hair. She tells me they can, in fact, fill my Vyvanse. However, the coupon won't be applied; it will cost 150 dollars. I explained that was fine, that I pay $150 every month (CVS hasn't accepted the Vyvanse coupon since November 2023; I've been taking Vyvanse for the last four years, so I already knew this, which I explained to the pharm tech and male pharmacist, to begin with) she tells me she doesn't know what they (the pharm tech and male pharmacist) were doing. ME EITHER GIRL! Fifteen minutes later, I got my Vyvanse. I got home at 1:00 A.M. Who is training these pharm techs? It seems they never know what is going on. Almost all of the younger pharm techs at this location are rude as soon as they open the window. Also, how does the PHARMACIST not know you don't need a new prescription? THAT DOESN'T EVEN MAKE SENSE!!! That's like saying you can't have Tylenol, but you can have acetaminophen. Or you can't have Zoloft, but you can have sertraline. You can't have Valium, but you can have diazepam. IT'S THE SAME THING. THEY ARE LITERALLY THE SAME THING!!! No apologies from the male pharmacist or the pharm tech for the inconvenience. To all Medicare patients if you get your medications here at CELANESE CVS remember just because the Pharmacy tells you your meds are not covered doesn't mean they are not covered, it just means they are not willing to to do more than their minimal requirements to help you. They are a business first. Go back to your doctor to navigate the roadblocks that CVS And Medicare will not work through and get the med needs you have paid for. My friend and I dropped by a number of stores while we were in Rock Hill for the day. One of our stops was at this CVS. I was doing research on imPRESS press-on nails. This store had a decent selection and some of them were flagged for clearance. The problem was that the colours weren't what my colleague had wanted. Unfortunately, I couldn't take advantage of the great prices! My friend drinks a ton of water. I had purchased a six-pack of bottled water moments after I had landed in Charlotte. We decided to get a 24-pack, as there would be three of us drinking the water while we were in town. As cheap as it was, I still like the idea of buying water as you go. I ended up with four bottles of water by the time my week was up in Charlotte! My friend also got heel liners for her shoes at this store. They seemed to work just fine after she had purchased and inserted them in her shoes. The cashier was competent and cheerful. My friend's CVS rewards card wasn't working. I gave the cashier mine. I called Doc office 2 times and then they said they would call the store. Prescription was still on the fax and I watched them get it from the fax. I will never be going to this location again. I arrived at 4:00 to wait for my prescription & the lady told me it would be a 10 minute wait... I said "no worries" and I sit in the chair. 30 minutes goes by & the same lady took my last name & DOB 9 times.. my medicine is finally ready & I go to checkout & she said my insurance was not accepted here. I said "did you know that my insurance wasn't accepted here?" She said "yes, I thought you'd pay for it out of pocket." I think that's one of the most idiotic statements someone has ever said to me.... I sat there for 30 minutes for a prescription my insurance wouldn't cover at CVS. So I asked if she could transfer it to Walgreens around the corner. She explained that I'd have to call them to start the transfer.. okay no worries. I call Walgreens & they said they'll call them right away. That was at 4:30... I called Walgreens at 7:30 to verify that the transfer went through & they said that they've been waiting on CVS to approve it. It's been 3 hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I called CVS & told me they need to transfer the prescription asap... I've been waiting now 4 hours for these prescriptions. CVS was rude, unhelpful & they had no empathy that I'm a asthmatic & I needed my inhaler to breathe. It's now 7:55 & my prescription was just transferred. Rude staff, the Pharmacist rude and will over ride a Drs prescription and not fill it, wait time forever and that's if the medication is in stock. If you try calling the phone just rings. This place is a joke! First of all I was forced by my health insurance provider to switch from Walgreen's to CVS. Friday I call to refill one of my maintenance prescriptions for pick upon Saturday after work. The person on the phone advised that they only had enough on hand to give me half of my prescription. I could either take the half or wait until Monday and get the whole prescription. I had a few pills left so I told her I would wait. I go by tonight (Wednesday not Monday) to get my prescription and of course it was the normal long wait. I get home and it's a different prescription all together. I call the pharmacy and hold 45 minutes to talk with someone which is the normal. She was very smart mouthed and informed me that they didn't have my medicine in stock and it was on back order. She said that they faxed a request to my doctor and asked that they prescribe a substitute. Ok......now I'm out of my medicine so I asked her why they didn't call me and let me know. She told me that she didn't have to notify me. Blood boiling now I called Walgreen's to see if they had the prescription that I needed, they did. I had the nice lady to transfer all of my prescriptions back to them. I pick up my medicine tomorrow. CVS needs a course in customer service! Never ever again will I trust my or my families needs to them again. Do yourself a favor and pick another pharmacy. read more

I have had issues from being given wrong totals for meds that triple the cost I should be charged, was shorted 5 klonopins month before last, to now having been checked out by the absolute worst employee. some young middle eastern looking kid who had the gull to literally stand and text for a solid 4 minutes while I waited in line to pay, as the other employee, an older white guy with a beard, was actually checking out a customer. I came in to buy 3 drinks with my $6 rewards bucks. after waiting for an unnessecary length of time to be checked out by middle eastern kid, he finally put his phone down long enough to ring me up. it took 5 transactions for him to get it right, kept charging me for more than what I had, then less, then put number in wrong, this dude must be high. he also dropped the drink I'd planned to open soon as I leave here and seemed surprised when I said I would be replacing it so it doesn't spray me when I open it. I feel bad for the people that work here that get paid the same as the people that truly don't give a $hit. read more

I love their pharmacy. My doctor erroneously filled a prescription for a CVS Pharmacy in North Carolina instead of this pharmacy. However, since we were in Rock Hill, this CVS Pharmacy transferred the prescription order from North Carolina to the Rock Hill CVS pharmacy. Saved me a two hour commute to pick up the medication. I appreciated the excellent customer service in correcting the doctor's mistake. read more

Calling ahead for prescriptions is the only way to have quick service. They are always so busy and get so behind. Even when a medicine is promised in X amount of time, you will probably have to wait beyond that. The pharm techs are always polite to everyone (even when the clientele doesn't reciprocate). Another CVS store goofed when entering my prescription, but this CVS called the other and righted it quickly. read more

I am writing this review from my mother's perspective. "I have been a customer at this CVS for 16 years. In the past year, the customer service quality has gone down 100%. The employes there don't care if there is a long line they won't drop what there doing and check people out. There were two people stocking shelf's next to me and there was no clerk checking people out. I stood there for 5 minutes, waiting to be delt with. I become impatient so I check out at the pharmacy in a record 15 seconds. There is also a lady in particular has used a harsh tone with me on more than one occasion and won't look at me in the eyes wile I am speaking to her. I would not plan on shopping here if your in a rush, or get your feelings hurt easily." read more

If you have a return for this store, pay close attention to what you sign. The cashier will tell you the return will go back on your card, but really it could be a cash return which you will never see. Tried to work with them but their camera's don't go back 2 months to prove you never rec'd the cash. Moving all my business elsewhere! read more

Have lost several of my prescriptions in only a handful of fills, due to insurance I'm stuck at CVS but will be changing branches ASAP

I have been shopping at this CVS for 16 years and haven't had one issue. This past year, management must have changed. In May of this year, I went into CVS 3 different times over the course of 2 weeks and the same lady greets me as I walk in. At first, she seems helpful and caring. She was not. She turned out to be rude, even a bit racist. On one occasion I was in line and the lady in front of me had finished and was just talking to her, so I just laid my things down gently on the counter, as I forgot to get a buggie. This lady pointed at me and said," No, no...I am not done with her yet. Don't put your stuff there." On another occasion, I was on an isle looking for something and I heard someone from another isle say, "Do you need help ma'am?" I thought she was talking to someone else. When I finally came face to face with her, she was rude. "I SAID do you need help?" On another occasion, I stood at the register while she was in the photo lab doing something and chatting with another worker. I eventually checked out at the pharmacy, which acted like I was inconveniencing them. I am saddened that I have to leave a store that I have loved for so many years. Although, Walgreens is happy!
