A while back I went to a different pharmacy for Paxlovid which is used to treat Covid. They were out! Went to CVS who saved the day! They filled my prescription which made me really happy because the drug must be started within 24 hours of the Covid being found. After that they reviewed with me the many vaccines they will vaccinate for. While in the store I was impressed by how they kept it so clean! The staff was extremely helpful and friendly! I would definitely give them a 5 star rating! Be sure and check them out! read more

This location has some of the nicest people working in the pharmacy area and I have had good encounters working with them, it is what keeps us coming back. The downfall to this store are that the staffing downright stinks. They are always understaffed and it shows in the long lines at the pharmacy counter to talk to the nice people. They also seem to have a lot of empty shelves and do not plan ahead well for the seasonal "rushes" on things like cold and flu medicine. We don't use this location for anything more than a traditional pharmacy so I cannot really talk about candy selection or milk prices. I just wish they would step up their game in staffing to make this a better shopping experience. read more

CVS states they have digital passport photos. Even called, and when we got there they said they don't do digital photos. Since trying to renew online, we needed the digital photo so going there and getting their photos was a major waste of time and money Roy Ut location read more

so sick of this pharmacy. I went on Saturday 2/1/25 and the drive through was closed. went inside and found a line of about 15 people waiting. When I finally got to the front of the line they said they couldn't fill my prescription due to an issue with my doctors office. I talked to my doctor today they said there was nothing on their end. I tried to call pharmacy so I didn't waste my time going in. nobody would answer, I left a message to have someone call me back, nobody called after 9 hours. Decided to stop by again today 2/4/25 the drive through line was wrapped around the building. Went in and found only 8 people in line this time. Got to the front and got the same story that there was a problem at my doctors office. won't be returning to this pharmacy anymore. read more

Why do every time I pick up my meds and I'm asked if I want them to be automatically refilled for my next order they never are every time I leave my doctors appointment with the refill submitted at that time they never receive it? I was once told they didn't receive it only to later be given an honest answer by the pharmacist that there was a shortage. Sorry not sorry ! Bad experience. I went to the Minute Clinic while traveling. The Roy clinic apparently had been open only a week. What in past experiences took less than 30 minutes took almost an hour an a half. Having been to another location before for the same issues I explained and told the nurse practitioner what antibiotic I previously was prescribed. She said that wasn't their normal first choice, she called another clinic and finally gave me a prescription. Next I went to the pharmacy who even with my printed paperwork couldn't find my prescription, they walked to the clinic and finally about another 15 minutes I had a prescription with a comment about it being the first from their clinic and they didn't have training. read more

I hate this place! It takes the forever to fill scripts. I will never go back. Today my eye doctor called in a script at 8:30 AM, I called the pharmacy at 11:45 to see if it was ready and they said it would be ready in an hour. Two hours later I waited in line for 30 minutes and was told my script was being worked on, when I explained what I had been told the girl said that they were super busy and brushed me off while standing there practicing her stupid look. Customer service a horror show at Roy CVS, UT! Been a cvs customer since this store opened and the change in cust service quality went from efficient professional, courteous to rude, uncaring, and out of line! I am a cancer pt receiving chemo calling cvs ahead for info about my pain med prescription. After ten mins a pharm rep picked up(young lady). I mentioned my recent 4phone calls to the pharmacy were not being answered. It would've saved several "unnecessary trips last week when the automated voice service could not resolve my questions. She replied in a rude tone,"we're really busy!" After asking my dob and name and Rx, says," I need to put you on hold". While waiting, I mumbled to myself," I need a new pharmacy". She comes back on phone with", I CAN HEAR YOU, don't appreciate it.!" And, "were not filling your Rx w/out a prior authorization!" i started to explain whats been going on with me and she straight up hung up on me mid sentence! Not only did I feel my privacy violated but treated abusively by this person on all kinds of layers. I came in to the store and talked to the pharmacist mgr who never once apologized for her subordinates conduct but began to defend her girl. After starting the Rx and telling me to wait, she giggles and praises the young lady by loudly verbalizing,"of course I won't fire you!" That and their tone really rubbed me the wrong way and even though I'm sick and in pain I'm writing this review to express that this kind of thing is going on at Roy CVS today and I wouldn't wish anyone in pain and coming to pick up needed Rx to go through this in their condition. Everything about tonight's experience is wrong but the entire pharmacy team plus mgr didn't think so.... This is concerning As her mgr, never showing any accountability or regret! it was at this moment I definitely got that pharmacy got "hijacked by pirates" feeling and realized I need to switch pharmacy( which I hate to do). I also want the manager Steve Petterman and the Regional mgrs to know this kind of unprofessional trend is occurring at this roy CVS store. Worst pharmacy I've ever been to. Always take forever on filling prescriptions and the lines are always massive with no care to getting the customers in and out. Went to the doctor got prescriptions drove 10 minutes to the pharmacy waited in line for 35-40 minutes and then they said it wasn't ready and would be 20 more minutes. Happens every time. read more

I normally use Walgreens pharmacy to fill my prescriptions, but this evening when I went to fill the prescription for my broken and infected finger, the computer system at Walgreens was down. Since it was a Sunday afternoon, I didn't have many options, but I thought why not try the nice, new CVS in Roy. And it is nice and clean and shiny both inside and out. So I walk in after driving from Walgreens at the earliest possible time - 6:01 PM - with my scrip in hand. The not-so-helpful chap at the pharmacy window tells me that the pharmacy has just closed. I explained that the 24-hour Walgreens can't fill my order and there is nowhere else I can go. He gave me this "tough luck, bucko" look, and told me that the pharmacy personnel where already getting ready to leave. I understand that they do have to leave at some point, but there was literally no place in northern Utah where I could go to get my prescription filled. And all I got was a kind of shrug from the clerk. Not "I'll see if they can fill it before they go" or "jeez, I'm really sorry you missed the cutoff by 60 seconds," or "hey, you could try the pharmacy over at wherever" just *shrug* with a side of *get lost* I'm never going to this CVS or any CVS again. Me and my throbbing finger hate them with the heat of a thousand suns. read more

They do a good job with all my meds except my monthly prescription of Adderall. I can't get a straight answer as to when I can pick up my next refill. Every time I call to find out I get a different answer. I've been filling this prescription monthly at this pharmacy for well over one year as it does't get any better. It's important for me to know the refill date and they should be able to give me the right date from the very beginning. To add insult to injury one of the pharmacists actually told me they are tired of my phone calls and they would be happy if I just started using a different pharmacy. I've never been treated so inappropriate if my life. I finally called the supervisor of all the CVS pharmacists to lodge a complaint about one especially rude pharmacist. He said "this will not be tolerated" and apologized. Hopefully that helps. I completely understand why this CVS receives such poor ratings. If possible start using a different pharmacy for this medication class or at least try using a different CVS location. That's my plan! read more

I started using this pharmacy because it was closer than the one at target but I'm definitely going back to target their customer service at the Roy CVS pharmacy department are always rude they're not friendly people to help you with your prescription. I hate this place so much!! I am that kind of person that don't give a review unless I had a really terrible experience. Since my son was born I had to come and get his medicine at this pharmacy and the staff are just so terrible. I had so many bad experience and given wrong information. One day I came to have a refill and the guy said the soonest my insurance will pay for a refill is on the 6th. I came on the evening of 7th (leaving my LO at home crying with his father) and when I got to cvs my refill is not ready and was advice it won't be ready till the next day! are you kidding me? I don't have all the time in the world to keep coming back. I had almost same situation with them one time and I finally give up on it. Bad bad service! I hate this place! read more

I'm forced by my insurance company to use this pharmacy, and while I have no problems with the staff, eveyrtime I go to fill my scripts they are out. How does a huge company like this not compensate for how many pills they need to get through the month? The man said it's because people abuse them. My doctor called in some meds for me and my daughter! My doctor mark filled as Prescribed! Silly me I thought they would look at the note from the doctor telling them what we needed. But nope we got something that makes my daughter have really bad migraines we called them and since they messed up they didn't fix this. I had to go to a different pharmacy to get the meds and had to pay for it. Thanks goodness the new pharmacist found a coupon to help with the cost since I filled it the insurance would not pay even through it was Cvs s mistake. So it went from free to me paying 75 dollars for this. But anything for my daughter and not to have here migraines I did call and talk with them and Cvs wouldn't help Since I have talked with my insurance about this and they have aloud us to fill at Smith. And no problems them my doctor send a Prescription over to CVS today and once again they give me something else. And I hate this. I'm having a allergic reaction to this and may need to go to the er! I have to call my doctor I. The morning and once again have to ask if they marked the fill as prescribed! And I know this. Cvs like to play games. Well you can't play games with the pill. The customer service here was awful, it could have and should have been a lot better. I expect that they become more acquainted with Tricare insurance and procedures for their customers (may I recommend this handy dandy tool: http://pec.ha.osd.mil/formulary_search.php#) . They are literally around the corner from a military base and it would be smart on their behalf to become better acquainted with Tricare's policies and rules. I hate this CVS! They are so rude and talk down to you when they make a mistake. They don't know how to listen. I filled an inhaler and questioned them. The pharmacist, Chris, yelled at me from the front counter to the window that it was "my insurance." CVS had given me 1 inhaler, when they were supposed to give me 3. I caught the error - their mistake, but their standard answer is "it's your insurance." Couldn't even admit their mistake. Horrible customer service. I have to go there because my insurance requires me to. I couldn't be more frustrated by that. Then, my parents go there and are given 4mL of a 10 mL prescription. The same pharmacist, Chris, talks down to my parents who question why we didn't receive the full prescription. Chris argues with them. Why wasn't this prescription filled as the Doctor prescribed? No answers, just rude comments and excuses. ZERO customer service. I can't move my prescriptions, but my Parents will be. CVS is a monopoly, but if they treat customers like this, they won't be top dog forever! read more

Very poor service. I stopped in on January 2 2016. To have a prescription of percocet filled., and to have my other prescriptions transferred there. The pharmacist informed me to take it where I normally have it filled. I ask why, and he said they had enough customers and they run out of percocet. Hummm I thought this was a pharmacy.
