As Pharmacy is very convenient since it's open 24 hours, however, pharmacy is closed one hour every day. It's very busy because it's near a local hospital and somewhat understaffed. I stood in line for 10 minutes to drop off a prescription only to be told not my table since it was the pick up window and was told to go to the drop off window. I went to the drop off window, and it's completely blocked off. They probably don't have it open because they don't have enough people to Staff it. I had to go back into line and wait again to speak to the blonde woman again in the prescription drop for her to tell me now to go to a consultation window instead. I asked her why she could've at least told me that the first time, so I didn't have to wait another 10 minutes in line again. She just shrugged her shoulders. read more

This cvs pharmacy never answer their phone, I am waiting on a prescription going on 5 plus hours - they close the pharmacy for a half hour every day so everyone can go to lunch together. They told me it would take 30 minutes and that was 3 hours ago. When I called cvs corporate to give feedback they hung up on me and then when I called back they said 6 min wait. That was 10 minutes ago. This is the worst customer service and in healthcare it's dangerous. I will be reporting them to the state board. read more

Ouch. This will be our last trip to this particular CVS. The pharmacist I saw was named Kevin, and when I asked for his last name, everyone was ignorant. I had a paper with instructions from urgent care, and it sure looked like a prescription (Directions, signatures, the works), but Kevin made sure to be condescending and yell at me during our conversation. I love having tears in my eyes at the pharmacy. On a good point, while I was talking to a colleague, and he approached me. I told him not to talk to me because he treated me like garbage. Can't say I've ever had a problem with the pharmacy. I actually praise them for their hard work seeing as the place is over the top busy everyday. I do have to say the staff at the front should be trained better. I ordered a canvas picture online and when I picked it up she wouldn't let me have it until she saw the money taken out of my bank account. If she knew her job she would know that you can't even order these without paying first. Do not get your prescriptions here. The pharmacy and pharmacist is completely unhelpful. They had first stated that my preemie son's was not covered by insurance when it has been covered previously and couldn't explain why. Then I called my doctor and my insurance company, during when I get a call from the pharmacist that it has been filled. I asked what has changed or what was the problem to begin with. They stated IDK or think someone had the wrong ID#. No apology and just hung on me. This is not my first problem with them either. They never had my prescriptions and say they do. I wish i could give this Pharmacy 0 stars. Horrible Horrible service. I have always had Walgreens and wish i could go back. The Pharmacists are terrible, no manners! The techs are at least pleasant but very lousy at their job. There is always an issue with prescriptions here. At one point i had to wait 1.5 hours to pick up prescription for my sick child because they couldn't find it in their system. I had to personally call the insurance because they couldn't do jack. Turns out the tech wasn't entering his name correctly (really?!?). Being a Dietitian it pains me to see how healthcare is suffering when it comes to this Pharmacy. read more

I hate writing this review during the pandemic and won't comment on customer service for that reason. I understand these employees are frontline workers and deserve that recognition. However this is THE WORST pharmacy ever. Prescriptions are never ready when they say they are, meds are constantly out of stock, and whatever tech systems are in place for reminders/refills don't work - or at least don't match up with what employees say. Please keep in mind that this is a review after 6 months of toleration. By far the worst pharmacy I've ever been to. It's embarrassing to the CVS brand to allow so many employees under the same roof give the impression they all hate their jobs so much that it shows to every customer walking in. (1) When we show up to pick up a prescription, half of the supplies are out of order, even though the entire prescription is said to be complete and ready for pick-up. (2) Customers wonder around the store looking to speak to an employee while there's at least one outside having a smoke. (3) The 2nd shift employees seem to hate their jobs the most because they are the least helpful and more dismissive. Going back to Walgreens because it's the closest alternative, but I know there are other CVS pharmacies further out with better service. CVS says online that you cannot return the prescription drugs ordered online due to legal reasons but this place does not even accept the prescription drugs returns which are not ordered online, the healthcare system here is even worse than those of 3rd world countries. For antibiotic you hand in the prescription and then wait 15 minute to an hour for your medicine, try to buy an antibiotic in a 3rd world country you will get the same brand medicine at a fraction of price and cost and in less then 30 seconds guaranteed. So CVS and all other pharmacies are a complete failure. Other than that there staff never seems to understand any question. read more

Extremely rude. The lady lied to me. My Dr sent my script for antibiotics there but I needed a different cvs. I called 3x over 2 days waited on hold as long as I could and finally on day 2 this lady answered and said she can't send it to the other cvs and they need to take care of it. I asked and she confirmed that she 100% can not fax my script to the other cvs. That's a lie she was just being lazy. I work in a doctors office and deal with scripts and pharmacies all day long. Most of the pharmacy workers are great, but seriously Kevin is an enormous liability. He has literally been sending me away for years after the doctor has written and sent in a prescription because he refused to merge the two files created by my house move, insisting that it was my job to contact corporate and make them do it. Not knowing that was even the reason why my prescriptions were seemingly not coming through for years (even after calling the doctors to confirm they had been sent!), I went through hell under the stress --- and being gaslighted over it when he said there was no prescription to begin with didn't help. He would aggressively and angrily even shout at other pharmacists that I couldn't get a new prescription because he hadn't filled it before (how's that for logic!). This incompetent man does not just take unprofessionalism to a level you never before thought possible, but I am genuinely convinced that he is a literal sadist. In my case it was a mild skin infection, but if he ever intentionally denies somebody with a serious life-threatening disease their medication the company is guaranteed to lose the law suit. The fact that his job remains even after massive amounts of similar complaints and no attempt by him to make amends means that no matter how professional the other staff may be, the CVS itself is not doing its due diligence. read more

I normally don't fill my prescriptions at CVS because of their poor customer service and price gouging. Tonight unfortunately my daughter needed a prescription filled for strep. I went to the CVS 24 hour pharmacy in Shrewsbury, MA. It took over 2 hours to have a simple prescription filled. There were customers cursing and fighting, absolutely disgusting. The same prescription that I had filled at Wegmans pharmacy the week before for my son was $0, zero dollars. However that same prescription, Amoxicillan which costs pennies to make, was $10.00 at CVS. CVS - you are a shining example of CORPORATE GREED! How is it possible that a little pharmacy does not charge for a simple generic drug that costs pennies any you gouge your customers? The parking lot is always a mess and today I tried out their curbside pickup that they're now offering (but shouldn't) which lets you make your purchase online and when you get to the store, all you have to do is park and send them a text that says "here" and they'll bring your bag out to the car. They state that this process takes an estimate of an hour and that they would text me when it was ready. I got a confirmation text and then another one an hour later telling me that my order was still in the process of getting put together. Okay, fine, not the biggest deal, but then, after an additional hour, I called the store and to figure what the status of my order was and the employee tells me that they haven't gotten any orders then checks her system and says "oh, now it's coming through". She then lists 2 out of the 3 items incorrectly, asks me my name 3 different times and says that she just needs to get the stuff together and that it would be ready soon. No apology and no acknowledgement that something or someone messed up. If I wouldn't have called, I'd still be waiting for my order because they don't know how to properly work this system. My suggestion would be to just avoid this CVS and especially the curbside pickup option. read more

I have to echo the previous reviews about wasted time spent at the pharmacy waiting for prescriptions. I have previously called in my prescription renewals on many occasions to find that they are not ready when the robot says they will be. I complained about this to a pharmacist and was told that the staff, too, has complained about the work overload to the "head office" to no avail. Most recently, I converted to receiving my drugs via mail order (another story entirely) from CVS/CareMark. Apparently the pharmacy was not informed of this by CVS/CareMark so I received a robocall from the pharmacy stating my drugs were ready for pickup. I called the pharmacy and told them that I was now receiving my drugs via CVS/CareMark and did not need to pick them up anymore at the pharmacy. This action resulted in the pharmacy canceling my drugs from CVS/CareMark but still charging my credit card as if I had purchased them on March 5th from the pharmacy! I went thru all sorts of machinations with CVS/CareMark (they needed another doctor authorization before I could be re-instated) before that problem was solved.
