I'm a bit shocked to see so many negative reviews. I moved back to Shrewsbury a year ago and after becoming frustrated that I'd been unable to have my prescriptions filled for a week at my normal pharmacy (Walgreens), I asked my doctor to send them to CVS even though my insurance didn't participate with them. I've had CVS fill them ever since and just pay because it's worth the money to me. Walgreens would hang up on my, screw up my insurance coverage by submitting things I'd never filled and every month it would take a week of back and forth to get my prescriptions so I'd always run out. Ive had zero issues in the year I've gone to CVS, they're polite, responsive and competent. I don't however expect the pharmacy to vacinate me, I go to my Drs office for that and to the pharmacy for meds. read more

I am a Rite Aid Refugee. I loved Rite Aid, It was a very friendly efficient drug store. That Chain Closed. My pharmacist told me she was going to CVS so did I. Frankly, I have never liked CVS. This time, I found the drug store section to be disorganized chaos. Standing there is a very long line and watching those employees behind the drug counter reminded me of watching an ant colony, but somehow I did manage to get my scripts. My former RA pharmacist was assigned another location so I decided to join Walmart Plus and have my scripts delivered free to my house. No more lines! But I must say that the quality of service was much better at Walmart than CVS. When I went to transfer out of CVS, I found it very uncooperative and rather difficult to transfer my scripts. The Walmart Pharmacist that I spoke to about that issue agreed that CVS just didn't play fair with transfers out. I only paid $50 bucks for a one year subscription of WalMart Plus on a half price special. Even if I had to go to the store to pick up my meds, I would recommend. They seem to be on top of their game much more than those poor souls that have to work at CVS. read more

I frequent this pharmacy, and have for many years, because of the convenient location and its drive through window. I've never had bad experiences like many others, and considered myself lucky, until recently. I had a prescription that was ready but before I could pick it up, I had a question. I called and found out that you cannot speak with a person, but rather only leave a voicemail., of which I did several times over the course of almost two weeks. With no response to my calls, I also left messages through the CVS app. Still no return call. It is very difficult for me to stop in the store for merely a question, and nor should I have to. I checked my app account today and saw that the prescription that was ready, has now been shelved and I need to reorder it. I'm really irritated, because I now have to start this process all over again and my question remains unanswered. I've overheard two of my physicians (different offices) complain about how awful this location is, to great length, and perhaps I'll heed the local community's warnings and move on myself. I'm too old and busy to deal with this crap and thankfully I have other options. read more

Every single month this pharmacy messes up several of my prescriptions to the point that we have to play phone tag between my doctors office, this pharmacy, and the insurance company. They give me incorrect doses and my pain medicine was short 6 pills once. I'm forced to use this pharmacy because of my insurance plan. That should be illegal. read more

I love the staff. For such a busy pharmacy they work really hard to have everything ready. most of the negative reviews are from people with unrealistic expectations or no life. read more

CVS is a friendly and efficient pharmacy. More times than not, I have a smile coming and going from CVS!

I must agree with all of the other many negative comments made about this CVS in Shrewsbury. It is by far, the most customer inefficient pharmacy I have ever had to use. I've never heard of any other pharmacy , except for the CVS where you have to go online, be extremely inconvenienced to make an appointment to have a flu vaccine- or any other. You can just kiss your Covid vaccine goodbye too. I needed a Covid booster, and they said they didn't have the Pfizer, AND I also had to go online to get on a long waiting list. The only good thing was that the pharmacy cashier "quietly" told me that the Rite Aid across the street had both vaccines , and i wouldn't have to go on line to make an appt either. Bottom line, within 50 minutes, I left Rite Aid having got my Pfizer vaccine ( they had all 3 types) , and was driving home. I don't even have the time or energy to comment on the horrors of their required 90 day prescriptions ordeal! They've gotten way too big for their own good, and i pray for the day they shut down, and I can return to my much beloved Rite Aid in Shrewsbury. Deserve 0 stars but can't rude staff on Christmas eve, doctor called in my prescription on Monday and Thursday they told me get back in line it's not ready after already waiting in drive thru for 38 minutes. Horrible customer service! Looking to change pharmacies. read more

The CVS in Shrewsbury PA has the worst pharmacy employees ever. They can't and will never get your prescriptions correct. If you can go somewhere else I would. They take forever to get you prescription ready and when they do tell you it is ready they lie because it really isn't ready. We had amoxicillin liquid filled for our son and it was not even mixed. Just go to Walmart or find somewhere else to go. I give them minus 5 starts. read more

Terrible customer service, scripts are rarely in a timely manner. Sometimes scripts are days out because they haven't unpacked shipment. Notifications that scripts are ready; to only make trip to find out they are not. Don't expect an apology either, your inconveniencing them!! 0 for me! read more

This has to be the worst CVS pharmacy I have ever been to! You basically have to wait 2 days to get your prescription filled. My daughter had the flu and Tamiflu was called in. 3 hours later I go to the pharmacy to pick it up and they can't locate when it was called in by the Dr. After waiting 15 minutes they find it but can't fill it because they were backed up. I then call the next day and I can't get in touch with the pharmacy. I then call the store request to speak to the manager and she had to run to the pharmacy to check and of course the medication was still not filled. So if you are very sick go to a different pharmacy! read more

Earns one star because I can't give zero. Where to start? This pharmacy has to be one of the worst managed. Not staffed well, long waits, rude and overworked staff. There is little actually working correctly here. It is alarming that CVS leadership hasn't stepped in to make major changes. I just don't get it. I never usually write up complaints unless I really feel the need to. Stacy I think your name was? Absolutely awful customer service. This store has messed up my prescriptions 3 times in a row. I asked Stacy if I could speak to a manager and she told me, "No, she's busy." But wait, it only gets worse. I asked for her name and she told me she didn't have a name tag. Okay. Well can I have your name? "I don't have a name." I thought I was on the show Punk'd and I was being pranked. Nope, just the worst customer service I've ever experienced in life. I called on Sunday, March 12th and spoke with Pam. I explained that my prescription bottles indicated that I had 3 refills on both medications. She told me that the Metoprolol was incorrect due to my last refill was for 90 days, although the bottle has it clearly typed that I have 3 refills. She stated that the CVS system is set up that way and there was nothing she could do. First Value not being addressed by your staff - "Caring". I then asked when and to what number did they fax my physician. Pam stated that they faxed him on March 8th and the number she gave me was for a fax that was for a previous location. I have given CVS the correct number on numerous occasions. Pam then lectured me that is was my responsibility to ensure my prescriptions are current. Here is another value not being demonstrated - Accountability. Pam took no actions that would have demonstrated accountability.
