One of the slowest drive thru ever. Plan 30 minutes on average. Why is what you just keep saying whole waiting

CVS Pharmacy - Waiting, waiting waiting - Drugstores Near Me - SMITHFIELD, North Carolina

My son has recurrent medications that had to be refilled here, due to that being where I took them initially. Everyone month when he runs out, there's an issue. They don't have the meds, they "can't send them to another CVS", they can't give me a paper script to go to another brand.... They can't tell us when they'll have the meds. Nor do they care to offer any solution. This isn't a medication my son can just stop taking. He's autistic and the side effects of stopping them suddenly will hospitalize him. Rudest staff you'll ever deal with. All you hear is how they're short staffed. Oh and don't bother calling to try to sort an issue, they literally don't answer. Even when you're there, you'll hear the phone going off... They don't even bother to touch it. read more

I wish I could give negative stars. This pharmacy used to be really good, but over the last couple of years, it has gone downhill in every possible way. I had surgery a couple of months ago, and the nurses in the hospital told us that CVS said my prescriptions were already ready. When we went to pick them up, we were told that they didn't know anything about them and to "give them thirty minutes." Thirty minutes turned into FIVE HOURS. Both the drive-through line and the inside line are always at least five deep. They almost never answer the phone. As you're standing in line, the message thing always repeats how many calls are waiting, and it's never below 6-10. I have currently been on hold with them for over two hours because they promised three prescriptions three days ago, and they are supposedly still "in process." This the LAST TIME I deal with this place. They've lost a years-long customer. read more

Absolutely terrible service. 40 minutes in a line that NEVER moves. This CVS should NOT be allowed to offer testing because they only use one of their two drive thru lanes. People just wanting prescriptions have to wait ridiculously long periods. Either open the other line and get more staff or get the hell out of the testing business. While the staff is at perfunctory, at least it is open 24 hrs. The pharmacy is always swamped, you'll wait awhile no matter if you come in or go through drive up. And woe to the person that needs to call the location, you'll often be on hold more than an hour to reach someone to fill what they should have already filled. Unless they hang up on you unanswered. The convenience of 24 hrs really doesn't offset the sheer time you'll spend trying to convince them to fill your prescription. I don't know why this location has so many issues, but I hope they solve them soon. read more

Consistently terrible always crowded loose scripts never give accurate pick up times. Have waited days after pick up only to be told it will be ready in an hour. They blame DR for problems with scripts or sometimes its the computer crashing and a number of other reasons that it's not their fault. I've only been met with courtesy from counter people but it's just not enough to be worth the aggravation of the every day incompetence of the Pharmacy itself. I have changed to another CVS in the area and wow what a difference. One star is way TOO MUCH for them read more

CVS in Smithfield is horrible. The last 4 times I have had prescriptions filled I have had problems. The worst was when they gave me a 90 day supply of my meds and when I got home I discovered all three boxes were EXPIRED- some more than 6 months. When I returned them they didn't have any in stock that were not expired and I had to wait for them to order a new supply. Several times I went to pick up a common antibiotic and they never have it in stock and I end up having to drive to another CVS 20 miles away. The last time I had my doctor call to verify they had the meds in stock before she called it in. They assured her they did. After waiting 20 minutes they informed me they didn't have it. Another tlime they didn't have it and transferred it to another pharmacy 20 miles away only to get there and find out not only did they not transfer it but that pharmacy did not gave it either. I have used this pharmacy for many many years but it is time for me to go. read more

The staff has always been very helpful. I am always greeted with a smile. They answer all my questions. They have my medicine when they state they will. I see all the negative reviews and I do not know if they are going to the same CVS i got to. Keep up the great work! read more

Number on web site sounds like a fax machine. Unable to reach the pharmacy to check on medication called in by Doctor. Every time my medication is called in, I have to wait hours until filled. It not just at this store but also in the nearest city of Garner. Staff is not friendly, they seem annoyed all the time. Going back to mail order. read more

Called pharmacy to determine the price of a drug and to learn if they honored Goodrx coupons the pharmacist said she would have to check and put me on hold after a few minutes the connection was broken and I was only hearing a series of beeps. I called back to the pharmacy four different times within the following 30 minutes each time the call was transferred to the pharmacy and the only sound was as though someone was lifting the receiver and hanging it up in the same motion. I no longer wonder why CVS has so many negative reviews. read more

Don't waste your time here! I wish you could give negative stars! This is the worst pharmacy I've ever been to. They never pay attention to you when you're trying to talk, they're always doing something else. I think I deserve someone's full attention when I'm trying to get my medications filled. They don't ever have anything ready when they say that it's gonna be done. They lose prescriptions or tell you it's not on file when I've called every day for four days trying to fill it and everyday they say it'll be taken care of! Bullshit!! Horrible staff!
