Why am I driving to a CVS in Reidsville when there are several others in a 5-10 mile radius of my house? Covid-19 vaccination availability! When the state lowered the eligibility age and I missed it by a few months (does that mean I am young?!), and then I'm out-of-state to visit my elderly parents who just received their 2nd shot . . THEN our state lowers it to 16+ years old and everyone else can schedule online quicker than this momma . I wanted a particular shot (they should all be fine but I'm a geek and want the one with more data) and was looking for Pfizer. This CVS is one of those large standalone building like most of their others and a site for vaccination. When I entered, there was a table with a sign, as apparently per the employee at the front checkout counter, said there had been a person staffing the table. However, I received numerous text/email reminders from when I registered, to the days prior, and that day to click on a link when I arrived so that I was "checked in". My son was also registered though for whatever reason, he said he never received any texts with those message of check in. (We registered online separately and chose same time slot). The sign said go toward the Pharmacy counter (back of the store like all of them are located that I've been to) and there was already a line down the side aisle that had markings on floor for social distancing. Two different people were administering the vaccines. The people that were behind us, one went to the actual pharmacy counter and since my son didn't check in online, we had him go to the counter. By the time I got to the front of the line, my son was back and had one of those vaccination cards. Umm, but for him only. The man (didn't read his name tag) administering the shot, said that's fine since I checked in online, and handed me a blank one that I needed to complete. So I let my son get in front of me while I completed the name info. It turns out that the system didn't update his info yet (it takes a few minutes) so I ended up getting my shot first. He confirmed that my second shot will be in three weeks and for me to stay in the building for 15 minutes to ensure no reaction, and to come up there immediately if I did. There were seats down the next aisle if wanted to sit. By that time, my son is now seated with the other person, a women named Elizabeth. She was extremely thorough in explaining potential reactions, what to take in the event of certain reactions, etc that are more common after the 2nd shot but could potentially appear for first. I now understood why her line was slower as she took time to provide all that information than my guy. She handed my son a red discount coupon card, like the one I received from my guy for CVS, and told him the same thing about hanging around, but gave him a specific time when he could leave the store. Well, we got to shop around the store. There were a bunch of vitamins with the BOGO deal going on at the furthest aisle. Hey, I had been wanting to get some lutein . . . (Coupon does not apply). As tempting as it was to get any snacks to eat like chips, nuts, or even the ice cream bars, yeah, I was calculating the number of bars we would have or time before it'd melt, I figured the body should have something a bit more nutritious to help the immune system so just got the supplements. The employee at the front counter was friendly enough and said that the coupon was good for several more weeks, and at any CVS and placed it in the bag. So, if it weren't for the vaccination, I would not have come here but things were fine. There was the table inside the front of the door about the vaccination (that I had completely overlooked when entering ) but the staff had pointed out. A little confusing whether I should have gone to the Pharmacy counter to receive the card, but it's good to see that there was a process for whoever was being vaccinated and registered. They checked my son's ID at the counter, but come to think of it, I can't recall if he looked at mine. He did confirm info from what I had registered. Not sure if the two who were administering the shots are associated with CVS or are doctors/nurses that are part of the Covid plan, either way, grateful for their willingness to do this, especially with the continuous line. Time slot scheduled have several people to be seen. Woman/clerk at front counter was nice. And good deal with the vitamin special. read more

I was already up at the counter getting taken care of then they made me step out of line and go to the back of the line for who knows why, When my medications and everything were already ready to pick up an hour prior to this. Spent an hour in the store just to get some prescribed medication!!!! read more

I would give this pharmacy dept. less than on star if I could. Pharmacist is rude and lacks any hint of customer service. Stopped in to fill a prescription this morning. Pharmacist took my prescription, after standing there for several minutes with no acknowledgement, and simply said, "one minute," and walked away. After several more minutes, he returned with the prescription in hand and said, "we don't even have this and stock, and you're going to have to wait until Friday." I asked if I could leave the prescription with him and pick it up on Friday. He said, "we don't keep hard copies, so you'll have to come back or go somewhere else." I tell you what, buddy, I'll do all of my shopping at another CVS from now on. In fact, my company prefers we use CVS, but since I'm close with the benefits department head, (1800 employees) I will make sure she knows this is an issue. read more

This CVS doesn't even deserve a star every month they're out of your medication I called in last night at midnight they said my Prescription would be ready by 8am I gave them till 11am only to be told they wouldn't have the medication in till Tuesday I left my house not feeling well Usually my wife will pick my medication up for me so I went there this morning and ask to speak to the manager so when she came up to the window I asked her why is it for the second month yall have been out of my medication and I told her I called my Prescription in last night at midnight why the person didn't let me know then that they were out of the medication instead of telling me the prescription would be ready by 8am she asked me did I receive a text I told her yeah at 9:05 saying a order had been put in it said nothing about yall being out of the medication she asked to see the text so I went outside to the car to get my phone once I got my phone went back inside to the window showed her the text now she's looking crazy because she thought I was lying so she looked up the medication on her screen she goes on to say she has half of the prescription she can fill with what she has then after the 15 day's I'll be able to get the rest I told her with today being Sunday I really don't have a choice because the doctor office is closed and right now I am out of medication she went on to say they can't call costumers when they are out of the medication you might wanna switch to a Independent pharmacy I told her I thought CVS was a Independent pharmacy she said no we're not I know she was trying to be smart with that being said I will be switching pharmacy it's only fair to let costumers know if you don't have the medication in stocks Communication is the key and that's something CVS doesn't have do they not know how people relay on their medication either CVS doesn't care about their costumers or it's the employee's one it's real sad when the pharmacy doesn't think enough of you just to let them know that they don't have your medication in stock read more

It's a CVS. More importantly, it's a 24 hour CVS. Everyone needs to get healing stuffs sometimes. Pros: + It's open 24 hours. So is the Bi-Lo, but this CVS has a better selection of drugs if you're looking for medicine late at night. + The pharmacy is quick and helpful, it also has a drive through. + Good selection of OTC Cons: - Dear god, shopping cards. - The prices are a bit on the high side, but with some of the more specialized drugs, this is ok. The food products that aren't on sale are more likely to be cheaper at the Bi-Lo - Most toys and things are not worth the cash, but this is fairly typical for grocery and drug stores. - The location is a bit hidden, but not necessarily the worst. Overall, it's a pretty good CVS. There aren't many of these that are open round the clock in the suburbs, so this one in Spartanburg is a pretty convenient for such a small town. Definitely check it out to try the pharmacy if you need to fill a prescription as well. read more

This is at least the third time that I have submitted a complaint about CVS refusing to fill my prescription according to state laws, violating HIPPA, discrimination unprofessional conduct as well as emotional distress. I went to pick up my prescription this morning after the pharmacy tech advised me that my prescription (which the same Dr has been prescribing for over a year could not be filled until the day that it is due to be filled. He said he would leave the request for it to be filled on 12/16z I called back on 12/15 approx 10:30 pm. I asked that she fill it as soon as Possible on Dec 16 and that I would need to pick it up before I went to work. I also had other rxs waiting. She said to give her 2 hours. I caught an Uber and arrived around 12:30am on 12/16. She said it would be another hour. I told her that I would wait. Meanwhile, the pharmacy tech received a phone call that made her visibly upset. She went outside for about 30 mins saying that the girl he was cheating with could "pull up" (meaning come fight ). About an hour later, I asked how much longer it would be because I had to call my Uber back and my 13 yr old son who was with me needed to go home and get ready for bed. The tech had just come on and her and the pharmacist was having a personal conversation about what happened with her boyfriend...all while I'm waiting to get my medication. The pharmacist said she just filled it and give her a few mins. I pointed out the fact that no one had come the entire time I was there and I was the only one waiting. The pharmacy tech immediately stated that I could leave and that she was calling the "Po Po" (the police). I was not rude nor combative, however the tech and pharmacist's conduct was extremely unprofessional to say the least. As I was walking out with my prescription, the police showed up saying that they received a complaint that I was filming (which I did when the pharmacist yelled at me. I was humiliated and this is getting out of hand and causing emotional distress. They are retaliating against me for filing legitimate complaint regarding the lack of care, extreme unprofessionalism (most of the time in front of customers) and violating HIPPA. This must stop. I downloaded Yelp for the sole purpose of writing this review and all I can say is DO NOT go to this CVS. They have terrible customer service and their drive thru line is always crazy busy and slow no matter when you go. The pharmacist is INCREDIBLY rude and will talk to you like you're stupid. The other day, I had received a text alert that my prescription was ready and the pharmacist kept insisting that she did not have it, and repeatedly cut me off when I was talking. It wasn't until I showed her the text ON MY PHONE that she went to the back and got the medicine. Speaking of the text alerts, I am signed up for them yet only receive them about 5-10% of the time. Next, their phone service is absolutely awful and I have been on hold for over an hour in the past to talk to an actual person and not a robot. Lastly, on many occasions, I have had to wait several hours upon hours for my prescription to be ready. Most notably was when I had surgery and was in excruciating pain and I had to wait over 3 hours to get my medicine that the doctor sent over. At any other pharmacy I've been to, they've been able to have my medicine ready shortly after the doctor sends it. If I could give this pharmacy less stars I would. read more

I avoid cvs like the plague. But. Because of a glitch on Walgreens' photo site, I decided, against my better judgement, to give cvs a shot. I submitted my Christmas card order via their website. The next day, I went to pick up my order of 20 cards. I got them home, opened them up and there were 6. Not 20. 6. I called cvs and was told the missing pictures were not there, they could not re-print the order so I could get my missing pictures, that I would have to go on the website, recreate the photo cards and resubmit my order. They very nicely told me they'd reprint it at no charge. I decided to give cvs back the 6 pictures and get a refund instead. I then did what I should've done initially and went across the street to Walgreens and printed my cards in the store with no problem. I will say that Erica, who helped me initially, was super friendly which is why I gave them 2 stars instead of one. read more

While I can understand the stress of working in a pharmacy, the customer service in this pharmacy is absolutely terrible. I used CVS pharmacy regularly for almost four years, but the convenience of a 24-hour pharmacy with unhappy/rude employees is simply not worth it, to me. I moved my scripts to Bi-Lo pharmacy across the road and not only are the employees nice there, my prescriptions are about 40% cheaper, too. I don't miss CVS Pharmacy, at all. You don't want to get prescriptions refilled at this store. We pulled through the drive thru and the Technician said we can fill all your prescriptions here if you have more. They didn't inform us it would be an hour later to refill when another CVS had it ready. After returning in an hour, pulling through the drive thru again, we were informed it would be another hour to fill the prescriptions. These people must have needed sales cause they were adamant about filling the prescriptions when the other store had it already but they were across town. After telling the manager we would sit at the window until the prescriptions were done he then went in to warn us he would call the law. Yesterday I got a prescription for a cough that said to take 1 tablet daily for 5 days and for some reason included 15 pills. I assumed I knew the reason but figured it would be prudent to speak to someone with a degree in pharmaceuticals who knew more about the way the medication worked and should be taken. I called the pharmacy and was on hold 7 minutes before a person answered. She had no idea what I was talking about so she said she would get the pharmacist. I was on hold 26 minutes before finally hanging up. I called back, another tech answered after 5 minutes and after expressing my displeasure I had a pharmacist on the phone 3 minutes later. Even though it was a very simple question, he told me he had no idea and referred me back to my doctor, whose office closed an hour before. I had to wait until after lunch to get back in touch with my doctor who assured me what I thought was correct, spending another entire day sick, when I would have expected a Pharmacist (i.e. doctor of medicine payed by CVS to answer questions about medicine) to tell me I was right or wrong or at the very least, catch this confusing instruction when sent by my doctor and call his office to confirm before even filling a Rx like this. I have been going to the Walgreens across the street for quite some time for my son's prescriptions and have never once had an issue and anytime I've had a question I've never waited more than a few minutes to get a person on the phone, let alone find myself stuck in a 30+ min drive-thru line like I have here. I know I'm going to be changing my primary pharmacy from here the next time I go to the doctor. Save your time and money and head across the street to Walgreens where the staff is quick and competent. read more

This place is a joke! First experience here was on 4/20/17. My nanny is in the last hours of her life and her hospice nurse called to CVS to make sure they had a medicine in stock before we drove over here. At first the lady told us they were out of stock. After I called the hospice nurse and she called CVS two minutes later it turns out that they did have it. A young black girl named Natalya was eating Pringles while telling me they DID in fact have it. Glad I never left! Thirty minutes completely wasted!! Twice I signed up for the text alerts, yet still don't receive them. They are always behind, there's always a long line. My husband came at 3pm to pick up his prescription and after a long wait in line, it wasn't ready. So we come back at 7:30, he waited in a long line and then they said they didn't even see him in the system and now having to wait 15 more minutes. No wonder this place has low ratings. This particular location is awful!! DO NOT get a prescription filled here if you would like it in a decent time frame. The drive-thru service is ALWAYS awful as well! Worst CVS I waited 6 hours on 2 prescriptions even though it was sent in at 10am . Worst pharmacy customer service ever. Why is "0" stars not an option? Don't even bother calling the pharmacy line to ask a question. I called around 9:00 p.m. to ask a simple question about a prescription savings card which had expired and I had renewed online. I wanted to make sure it was activated before showing up and waiting in a long line which is "usual and customary" at this location. After being on hold for 32 minutes I decided to drive there and wait in the drive through line. I took a screenshot of my phone at 42 minutes as proof that I had been holding so long. I had listened to the recording and music the entire time. Not once did a human answer. At just over 44 minutes I pulled up to the open window. I could hear the noise coming from inside (8 pharmacy calls, 9 pharmacy calls). The girl at the window picked up the phone beside her and hung it up and mysteriously the call on my cell disconnected. When she went told me that the card I had renewed online was not activated and I would have to come back tomorrow, I exploded telling her I waited 44 minutes on the phone to try to avoid having a problem like this after driving there. She told me that when people are sick and call off, they don't have enough people to answer the phone. Then why not change the message to say "we are not accepting calls at this time"? This is not the first time. I've called at least a couple other times a year or so ago and held on over 30 minutes and it was 11:00 p.m. so the time of day doesn't matter at this 24 hour pharmacy. If given a choice, I would pick Walgreens, Riteaid, anywhere but here. CVS has created a monopoly with big companies and because of that, we don't get a choice of where to fill prescriptions...use CVS or your insurance is no good. I need a prescription filled and I went to cvs.... I was given the one around for hours.... at first I went to Walgreens and they didn't take my Medicaid and told me they would call me prescription in to cvs... well... I went to cvs and they said no prescription was called in so I gave it an hour went back to cvs and no prescription still wasn't call me... I went back to Walgreens and the lady that helped me prior was adamant that she called it in and she also faxed over the prescription.... I went back and the lady helping me told me she would check and it would be an hour. I questioned her "had she got the Information she needed"? Her response was I haven't check...
