There has never been a single interaction with this pharmacy that has worked easily. Prescriptions are constantly unable to be filled due to lack of supply, customer service is terrible, and customers are charged for services the pharmacy is unable to fulfill. I have my prescriptions through CVS because all of the locations make it "convenient," but years of blunders at multiple locations have finally convinced me to transfer my business elsewhere. 1 star is far too many. read more

This is the worst pharmacy I've ever dealt with. But it starts at the corporate office. They're so bad that I contacted their corporate office and surprise surprise no one from corporate called me back. Every time we deal with the older women (I think her name is Peggy) it's an ordeal. We waited hours for a pneumonia prescription for my 3 year old and when we got the text message updates that the order was complete, we went to pick it up, and shockingly it wasn't ready. They tried to tell us that the doctors office never sent the script, so we called the doctor and he happily called CVS. CVS then put him on hold for over 15 minutes and never spoke to him. We ended up having to take the prescription elsewhere to be filled. Then again today, we went to get my daughters asthma inhalers today and the same old lady told us we couldn't have just one inhaler we needed to wait for them to get all 3. My daughter needs these to breathe every day, so we had to argue with her and it wasn't until the head pharmacist intervened that we got the prescription. Ive attempted to have a conversation with someone about these and several other issues previously but no one is ever available. CVS IS TERRIBLE AND THIS STORE IS THE WORST. read more

I needed to make emergency run for formula, I knew ShopRite was closed but I knew CVS closed at 8 o'clock, I arrived at 10 to 8 and the doors were locked, I was knocking on the window of the door because I could see in plain sight the two women ringing themselves up for their merchandise and I knew they could hear me, they wouldn't even glance my way, I just could not believe they were close the doors and lock them 10 minutes before the actual closing time knowing this is a Pharmacy store. Hey absolutely got me so angry that I was watching them sit there for 10 minutes hoping one of them would glance my way so that they can open the door and give me two minutes before 8 o'clock for me to get my stuff, literally just needed to get one canna formula but had to drive 25 minutes away to a store that I knew was open 100% Made me want to kick myself in the butt even harder for knocking an entire canna formula into the sink by accident but hey mom life no sleep read more

Tech typed my script wrong and ended up giving me 2 times the dosage I was prescribed. Billed insurance for a 30 day supply but filled it for a 90 day. If I didn't work for a pharmacy as well, and had a habit of double checking my scripts, I would have taken the wrong dose. Called to sort it out and they were more concerned with 'how did you figure this out?' For my troubles they refunded my .41. Also the pharmacist, who needs to review the meds before they can be sold, took three flu shots that arrived after me, causing me to wait even longer. Always have to wait even when it's been called in. Pharmacists never care how long you've been waiting & will talk so loud, ignoring the fact that everyone can hear what rude, ignorant things they have to say. Made me change pharmacies due to the lack of personal care, concern, or customer service. read more

Cvs pharmacy in Stanhope, NJ is the worst pharmacy in the area!!! I dropped off a prescription yesterday and they asked when I would be picking it up. I said I will need it by noon tomorrow. Went to pick up today at 2:30 and was told it was not ready. Wow!! So I waited and finally 45 minutes later the pharmacist told me she was new and could not fill the prescription. I called my doctor who called the pharmacy ASAP cause of the need for it!! The doctor told the pharmacist that the prescription was written correctly and she went on to explain she was new and couldn't fill the prescription!! Wow!! So, my husband went to Walgreens in Newton with no problem with the way the prescription was written!!! We will no longer be wasting our time and money at such a badly managed pharmacy and staff!! read more

The pharmacy staff is so nice and appreciate how they remember my name and are able to fill scripts so much faster than any other CVS. I'm never kept on hold long like other pharmacies. I will never go anywhere else. The front counter person even greets you when entering the store. I have never encountered a nicer pharmacy and I have been to many. read more

Save yourself the trouble and go across the street to ShopRite Pharmacy-similar hours. This CVS pharmacy is an absolute nightmare. It is very disorganized and I had a staff member lie to me. They called me saying a prescription I have renewed on a regular basis was called in too early to be covered by my insurance. I told them I understand that, and that I had just had the appointment with that doctor so that's why it was called in a bit on the early side. I asked them to kindly hold the script on file, and fill it when insurance would allow. When it was time for it to be filled, I called them, and they told me hey had no record of the medication being called in. They have also mismanaged some of my medications when there has been a change dosage (totally boggles their minds!) in terms of how they handle it with my insurance. My doctor told me to suggest to them that maybe they were putting it in as a certain code and not the correct one and when I politely suggested this, they were completely offended and very rude. My son also had to have liquid medication for acid reflux as a baby. They consistently gave us too little and we had to at multiple times pay for extra when we ran out. Nothing like a screaming newborn/infant at home in excruciating pain because they couldn't measure the liquid out correctly. I'm a chemistry teacher and even did the math and measured out the liquid meds myself with what we had, presented them with the numbers, and they scoffed at me. That was he last straw, so I took my business across the highway to shop rite. My son now has the flu, and his doc by accident called tamiflu into CVS instead of shop rite like we requested. Sure enough, I get a text from them saying it's not in stock! Tamiflu NOT IN STOCK?! You're a pharmacy for goodness sakes!! But guess what-shop rite had it-no problem! Moral of the story, save yourself the time, aggregation, stress, and humiliation, and go across the highway to shop rite where they are quick, competent, personable, and have never given us an issue!! read more

The pharmacy personnel has always been helpful - in person or by phone. We were away and my Father mixed up his perscriptions. I called CVS pharmacy & pharmacist helped us sort out what he had to take and when. So thankful for their help. read more
