I want to take this opportunity to praise the outstanding service provided by the pharmacists and staff of Towne Pharmacy in Cedar Knolls. My family moved to CedarKnolls five years ago, and we needed a pharmacy for my wife, who had MS for 30 years and who relied on a variety of medications. We used one "family pharmacy" in the past because of the close relationship with the pharmacists and staff. We were looking for a pharmacy in Cedar Knolls that provided the same outstanding service. We found that with Towne Pharmacy. On my first telephone call to Towne Pharmacy, I spoke with Sapan Patel, the head pharmacist, and explained our situation and the need to work closely with the pharmacist and staff. I found out later that Sapan telephoned our prior pharmacist and reviewed all of the specifics of my wife's medications and her unique needs. Since that first phone call, Sapan, Helen (another pharmacist), and the rest of the staff became an integral part of my wife's treatment. I found everyone there to be knowledgeable, diligent, competent and, qualified. In addition, and most importantly, they are all kind, compassionate and understanding. I unconditionally recommend Town Pharmacy in Cedar Knolls to anyone in need of a pharmacy. read more

Great Pharmacy, great communications and pleasant people at the counter. I have been a customer here for 20 years. I will NEVER go back to Big Box Stores like CVS. The CVS lines are long, have staffing problems and close for lunch regardless of how many people are on the line . Towne Pharmacy is the wat Pharmacy's were when I was growing up . Terrible experience. Wrote a review on google and they responded with personal information about my insurance, which feels like a HIPAA violation. I would not trust this pharmacy. EDITED on 10/28: Look at the owner's response. Then look at how he responds to negative reviews - with complete condescension and HIPAA violations. I rest my case. Be blessed, sir! read more

Compound prescription from N.Y. C. doctor filled as N.Y.C. compounding pharmacy and shipped to me was considerably less expensive than renewal at Towne Pharmacy as they send compounding prescriptions to another source to be filled. Not filled on premises. read more

Attitude of clerks have lived here many yrs now live in Fl but had to be in nj this week n needed a prescription filled . When I went in to pick it up a very curt clerk told me it was $10 and I took out a 50 dollar bill which they have a sign they will take when I gave him the bill he said I can't take it I don't have change n said that I had a 10 in my other money which I needed for another transaction he said you have a 10 there which I told him I needed he didn't budge n told me to use a credit card not professional n not very customer focused to a family that supported this business for 40 yrs will use or have family members use this establishment again!!! read more

Quick update - recently there's been a younger, tan redheaded man that's been helping at the front cash register. Absolutely fantastic personality: super kind, funny, makes fantastic small talk if you're waiting for a prescription, and moves fast to grab your pack and ring you up. I have used them for ages they now do compounding, they give the best prescription prices and as a small local pharmacy they know who you are. They also deliver prescriptions. read more

So disappointed when I was double charged on a credit card and they did not care to resolve it. It was an error on their part as they said the charge didn't go through so they ran the card again. I called several times for them to issue the refund but they did not care to resolve nor do they return phone calls. You are left on hold for a long periods of time. Zero customer service here. I do not like to post negative comments about anyone or company but I spent so much time trying to get a refund and was totally ignored every time. Avoid this place. read more

Towne Pharmacy is the druggist of choice for both my mother and brother, each of whom live in close proximity. With my physically disabled mom needing an antibiotic, and my brother on vacation, we stepped in. The pharmacy is reminiscent of those that I remember from childhood; crafted wooden shelving, a well-dusted and maintained appearance and surveillance from the elevated area where the pharmacists fill prescriptions. Its is very quaint and homey, but also, nicely stocked. You may not find the deep discounts on OTC items that are offered in the big chains, but their prices aren't bad. Retrieving our prescription was a bit slower than I would have expected, but that shouldn't be read as a complete negative. It was clear that the druggists were being meticulous and their work was interrupted a few times in assisting other customers. Our visit to Towne Pharmacy didn't confront them with anything particularly challenging, nor were there any unexpected surprises. I'll trust my brother's judgment as a long-time customer, and add a 4th star. read more

My entire family has been going to Towne Pharmacy for many years. There is no pharmacy like Towne Pharmacy. The pharmacists and employees treat you like family. They truly care about your health and take time to talk to you and explore all options. They are personable, kind, friendly and always pleasant with a smile no matter how busy they are. Called Pharmacy regarding a medication that has to be billed through Medicare part B instead of D. I have been dealing with this issue for about a month now. Spoke to Gavin who has been very helpful and informative and got all the answers to my questions.
