I only gave them 1 star because I had to give a star. I just had a tooth pulled. It took the CVS on Rural and Elliot over an hour to fill an antibiotic and 2 hours and 14 minutes to get the pain meds. I was in pain by the time I picked up the meds. I asked why it took so long they said it is a controlled substance. I get it but, over 2 hours. Ridiculous! They don't really care if you have to suffer. They always have excuses. This is expected from CVS. If you want a better pharmacy, go to Walgreens on McClintock and Guadalupe. They had my mom's med ready from the time we drove from Urgent Care to Walgreens which is 2 miles away. read more

I arrived at 1:29 PM (I looked at my phone) And was told I could not pick up my medication because they were closing for lunch because she had not yet finished with the person in front of me. You need to serve all the people in line before 1:30pm before you can close!! You have lost a probably $5,000 a year pharmacy customer for this. Didn't catch medication error. Refused to refund error. So I pick up my daughter's epipen from this CVS. $109. The tech puts the epipen in a bag. No offer to review the prescription with the pharmacist. I get the prescription home, open the bag, see the weight on the box is not appropriate for my child. I call the pediatrician to double check the dose and they say it was their error. The pharmacist at this CVS didn't catch it. I go to pick up the right dose. But this CVS has decided not to fill my daughter's life saving medicine because insurance wouldn't cover it because they had just paid for the error. Does this CVS call me? Do they call the doctor? No. When I get there they just tell me it will be another $250 if I'd like the medicine that keeps my daughter from dying in an allergic emergency. But they don't have it in stock because they didn't order it because they assumed I wouldn't want to save my daughter's life if insurance wouldn't cover it. I ask them to call the pediatrician to fix the issue with insurance. They tell me to do it. I appreciate there is a law saying they can't take a prescription back, but they could refund the $109. So buyer beware here--and that's how patients are viewed--as cash transactions. They didn't catch a medication error and just expect more money to fix the mistake. Our insurance says we have to use CVS, but we don't have to use this one and will never again. Spoke with doctor who contacted pharmacy. They said CVS would reach out to offer the correct prescription for $109. They didn't. I cannot imagine a pharmacy that cares less about patients. read more

Incorrect emails and texts, failure to accurately inform me of the status of my prescriptions, telling me meds will be ready at the end of the day and then denying they said that and made me wait another day. insurance approved additional pills due to travel plans but the pharmacist rudely grilled me on my travel plans, something for which he had no right to do, as the insurance pharmacy approved additional pills for travel. Get your vaccines here. This is where I go and all my vaccines are covered by my insurance. Don't even bother going to your doctors office and paying that awful co-pay. The pharmacists are very nice here. Every single one who has administered by immunizations has been gentle and professional. I find the techs to be equally as helpful. This Pharmacy is extremely stressed out every time I come here. I do not know why but, perhaps they are short staffed. I have been here 2xs now to gets scripts filled. Both times very Stressed!!! Makes me feel stressed. This last time I got my Scripts then made some purchases. They had Easter candy marked down to 75% off. Now this was only 2 weeks after Easter. The candy was very old and dried out. Which told me,that it was really old! Not just a month or 2 old but, perhaps a Year old. All of it was as well not just one package. Lesson learned not to buy food products here. However, they do have all the products you are looking for and accepts all the coupons and such as all the other CVS stores. CVS Store, Tempe, AZ, corner of McClintock and Broadway. The worst place! They messed up my blood pressure prescription very badly and refused to take any responsibility for the problem. Told me multiple stories, blamed the doctor, etc etc. Pharmacy Mgr was terrible; no customer service skills, acted like I was bothering her, taking up her time, rather than trying to resolve this issue. Completely blew me off. Asked to speak to her manager and she said she'd "give him the message", but of course I never heard back from him. And this was a simple thing, prescription refill, but it seemed to be out of their ability to resolve. And, THEY DON'T CARE. Customers are inconveniences, I guess. Am moving my prescriptions from this awful place as soon as I can. BEWARE! read more

This has to be one of the worst Pharmacy CVS out there. I am sorry to say that the girls working the counters here have no Idea what Customer Service means. At all. Tonight I called and spoke to the pharmacy department asking if they have reached out to my doctor for a refill since I received a text stating they would be doing so. The answer was "not sure". I explained that I got a text stating that they were going to and I wanted to know when prior to following up with my Doctor. This is the best pharmacy! Pharmacist John goes the extra mile for customers. He's given us flu shots and Covid-19 vaccines over the years, and the entire staff is helpful and knowledgeable. They are BUSY so sometimes there's a line, but they are on top of things. The store is always clean and well stocked, and the coupons mostly work. The worst customer experience. My doctor called in an RX on the 19th, I went to pick up another Rx on the 19th and was told this RX was not ready and would be ready in 20 min. After trying to get through to the pharmacy after being on hold on Tues for 45 min, then on Wed for 35 min, I called the corporate customer service number. The agent was VERY helpful!! She got through to the pharmacist who told her that it wasn't filled for over 2 1/2 days because "they were backed up". After she talked to him - he said it would be ready in an hour!!! This is just unacceptable! It was diabetic medicine that was necessary! Hopefully I can change my insurance at the beginning of the year. Have always gone to and liked Walgreens. This pharmacy is a nightmare. There is an issue every single time I have to pick up a prescription here. It doesn't matter if it's a medication that is on an automatic refill, my doctor sends in a script or if I request a refill via the app. It simply does NOT get filled !!! I will check my app to see if it's ready and notice it isn't or it will say "pending" which makes me have to call EVERY single time and ask what the problem is with my refill. If they are out of stock of a medication you would think as a pharmacy they would order that for you automatically. Nope, not here. Instead they make you wait for days until you notice it was never filled so you call them to see what the problem is only to find out they don't have it, haven't ordered it for you and it will now take longer for you to get it. Now you would think they would then call you to tell you that came in and it was ready to be picked up? NOPE!! You have to call back again a couple more days later asking where your meds are that you are out of, to which I've been told "oh.... they must be sitting in this box we got a couple days ago I haven't opened." If there Is an issue such as the insurance isn't going to cover something they don't call you to warn you or tell you so you can have a heads up. You get to find out after wondering for several days where your meds are when they aren't filled when you thought they would be. I've picked up prescriptions that have been incorrect before where they've left out an entire box (or even boxes)!which contained either a month or 2 month supply from a 3 month supply prescription. That's a little scary. I've also been forced to fill a medication as a generic when the prescription was written as name brand only with no substitutions my doctor was pretty pissed off when she heard about that one. There is 1 pharmacist who is more competent than the other and it seems like he may be cleaning up after the other ones messes. This place gives off a stressful bad energy. I always preferred CVS Pharmacy over any other drug store whenever I was out and about running errands. Earlier today, I had to stop in to pickup a lipstick quickly & I realized that I don't shop here as much as I should. The cashier, and everyone in the store was very friendly and helpful. Also, they provided me with a coupon on top of the already discounted price of the items I purchased. Who doesn't like additional discounts right? My experience here has always been pleasant. They have a variety of items to choose from whether it's food, makeup, toiletry items, healthcare etc. They even have a minute clinic, pharmacy & photography center. One last added plus which I thought was ABSOLUTELY amazing is that they do not sell any tobacco products within any of their stores. They had them removed from all stores, to promote a healthier lifestyle!!! That is awesome in my book! I will continue to come back! read more

I think this address is wrong, one of many things that CVS hasn't done properly. Since this listed address is directly across the street from the one I reviewed, I'll post it here, too, for the unwary. Terrible customer service in the pharmacy! I recently went to the pharmacy with a friend to get a FLU SHOT. CVS advertises flu shots available any time, every day. We walked past a sign that said, "Get a flu shot! No appointment needed." Inside was a podium decked out in signs about flu shots and forms to get one. We went to the back where the pharmacy is, and the girl working the drive-through window says someone will be with us shortly. Time passes. We look around and there are 5 people in the pharmacy area. Two look like techs, the other two looked like pharamcists, plus the drive-through girl. There were no other customers there, yet NONE OF THEM EVEN LOOKED AT US. Four minutes went by, then five. I was about to say something when another woman walked out from behind the shelves and asked if she could help us. I said we needed a flu shot and showed her my form. She said, and I quote, "OH, WE'RE NOT DOING THOSE TODAY." I kid you not. I looked at the counter, where a huge sign said, Flu Shots ALL DAY, ANY TIME. I read it to her. Nothing. NOT ONE of the six people behind the counter explained why they weren't giving shots, apologized for leaving us standing there , or bothered to put up a note that said, Sorry, no flu shots today. NOTHING. I walked away before I said something I might or might not have regretted. My friend had multitudes of problems with CVS not refilling things properly, or not calling doctors for refills, and receiving a load of recorded messages to pick up refills that half the time weren't there. She told them she was cancelling all her prescriptions at CVS and asked them to not call her. They didn't ask her why, or try to get her to stay, just shrugged and said, "okay." And we left. I WILL NEVER GO TO ANY CVS PHARMACY AGAIN. How they can find normal or reasonable this behavior toward customers says their culture in not one I care to support. But by all means, if you like being ignored, having your meds screwed up, and paying top dollar for your pharmacy needs, enjoy. I'll be at Walgreen's. read more

If they are out of a medication, they let me know when it will be in. Love it that I receive text messages so I always know what is going on with my prescriptions. I don't usually shop at CVS because I find that the prices are higher than most drugstore retailers. I dropped in recently because they had a special sale. I was very pleased with the store's customer service. The employees are helpful and friendly. Several employees offered help and asked me if there was anything they could help me find while I was shopping. The store was clean, well organized and very shopable. I did not visit the pharmacy, this review is based only on my store experience. I will be returning to shop here in the future. read more

I like the store part and the customer service cashiers who help with anything I need. However I went a few days ago to get a prescription filled and a woman was giving me a hassle to put the actual prescription in. When I told her I would be back with my other insurance card she kept my prescription. I arrived a few hours later and she acted like she didn't remember me or my prescription. Later an Asian lady came out to help me and said she remembered me and found my prescription. I will never use their pharmacy again but will continue with the rest of the store. read more

Literally the worst pharmacy I've ever dealt with in my entire life. I'm not one to write negative reviews but this is now the fourth or the fifth time I've been here and there is always an issue. As with my other experiences I waited in the drive-through for over 10 minutes before pulling around and coming inside been waiting at least another 5 to 10 just to get to the counter. There's nobody else here waiting and literally seven employees working behind the pharmacy counter. The staff pharmacist John must be in stuck slow motion with zero sense of urgency. He tells people at the counter he will be right with them time after time with no results. I see other members of the staff getting frustrated with the same individual as well, As they were short with him on several occasions since he seem to not be explaining things properly to the customers waiting about their meds. Save yourself a lot of time and go to another CVS as things here are obviously not changing. read more
