Excellent efficient pharmacy, especially considering it serves a large proportion of ASU

At the Minute Clinic, I was denied Depo due to the nurse practitioner's religious beliefs. I regularly get Depo administered at CVS Minute Clinics so I was shocked that I was denied a service provided at the Minute Clinic due to a service provider's beliefs. I can understand exercising conscientious objection if you work at a private practice but the CVS Minute Clinic is not that. There was not another provider on staff who could administer Depo for me. Asserting her religious objection to fulfilling her professional obligation negatively impacted my health and access to care. As a medical provider, it is her duty to do no harm yet her refusal to administer Depo caused harm. Medical providers have a responsibility to respect patient autonomy. I have no qualms with her personal beliefs but allowing her beliefs to interfere with her professional duties, as a CVS employee, limits access to care. She should find alternative employment as she expected me to find alternative care. read more

The pharmacy always goes above and beyond to help with the tangles that come with their system and our insurance. The pharmacy team is always professional &cheerful and take the time to figure out what was wrong as opposed to just saying can't do it. The pharmacist always checks the data to make sure you are taking the correct dosage and tells when to take it. They are super knowledgable and actually care and it shows. Love this CVS pharmacy and their team! read more

Terrible service from Elizabeth Erb, NP. She greeted me with her looking at her watch telling me I was extremely late when no one was around waiting, it wasn't almost closing time, and mind you it was by 5 minutes. She gave me attitude from the beginning and continued to be rude while providing service. I've worked at CVS in the pharmacy for a while and this is my first time using the minute clinic here. Disappointed to see how unwelcoming they are at a place where you need care. The pharmacy at this location is up and running now that Farahi works there as i've worked under him for a bit. Put in a request online, as they always request in every advert sent to me, and 2 days later still not filled. Tried to call for status. Sat on hold for 1hr 15min with no answer listening to high pitch obnoxious hold music & the same Covid message every 60 seconds. This is unacceptable. The last batch they left sitting for 5 days without filling, and when I finally got to talk to someone was told they ignored the online queues to prioritize walk-ins. Been with CVS for years and this recent behavior is not okay. Getting ready to pull all our scripts from them. read more

This store profiled me when I was trying to make a legitimate return. The Manager on Duty, Jamie on a Saturday night, lied to me about their return policy being 30 days. Even after I told you that I've looked it up online and it said 60 days, she still told me it was 30 days and refused to take my return even though I had a receipt I could of shown her. Which she was aware of. I literally shop at CVS all the time, and a CarePass member, and use their pharmacy for my medicine and this is how I was treated. read more

Horrible customer service. Pharmacists are very unwilling to help, nor do they care about you or their job.

The people who work at the pharmacy are so unhelpful. I was prescribed a different medication unwillingly by them because they did not have the regular medication sent to them that I normally use. When I tried to call and ask about it, the worker raised his voice at me and told me that they were the same, when they are not. I'm a nurse and know the difference, he then hung up on me when I had asked another question. I wish I heard his name but this man should not be in the healthcare field. read more

The store had an advertised buy one get one 50% off sale on DM cough medicine & store brand cold caplets. As I was sick, I stopped in to take advantage on my way home from work. After gathering my items & heading to the register, the cashier was kind enough to put her phone down to greet me. She then told me the item was not on sale after checking because there wasn't a yellow sticker. I asked her what the ad said & she replied with "I don't know". She called over a manager who walked up, picked up my item & walked away. The line was building & I didn't want to hold anyone up any longer, so I told her to just ring up the items still on the counter and I would be on my way. She said that the item the manager took was already on my ticket and that I would need to wait for the manager to come back. I responded with a 'seriously..?' & she laughed at me. I told the cashier that I can happily take my business elsewhere to which she replied "Ok!" and laughed in my face again. I told her that I was glad she found the situation funny. She continued to giggle until I left the store. People come to a pharmacy when they don't feel well... I left this one feeling worse than when I went in. I won't be back. read more

go anywhere else. if you have the option to go to another pharmacy. do it. they keep doing this thing where they get the order. they see they need to call the doctor or insurance. and they said "oh, we can't fill this without calling."... AND THEN THEY DONT CALL!!!! they just put it on the back shelf indefinitely!!! this location is especially bad with HRT, i think everyone should go somewhere else but especially trans people or anyone on a controlled substance. prepare to be off ur meds inconsistently for an indefinite amount of time with no help, it's gotten so bad that it's literally a health hazard. read more

Transphobia has impacted me getting my HRT medication filled in a timely way. I have been without medication after my doctor sends a script on more than one occasion. I encourage corporate to keep a close eye on this location, especially given the large amount of ASU students in the community. Overall poor communication and team cohesion among pharm staff and with store managers. Pharmacy team rarely answers customer phone calls, and doesn't reach out to customers to let them know the status of their prescriptions. Store managers choose to not get involved with pharmacy issues, and refuse to help out unhappy customers. read more

reading other reviews here, it seems clear that this CVS has a habit of profiling their patients, and i can definitely attest to that. i came into this CVS after 3 days of having symptoms of strep throat. i was fairly certain i had strep as i was exposed to it and all of my symptoms matched those listed in the description, which i told them. at first, the nurses were very nice and seemed sympathetic towards my pain. however, the rapid strep test ended up coming back negative. i felt a very sudden change of attitude after this. the provider i saw, Beth, became sort of judgmental and condescending and began insisting that i must have an STI in my throat, which she claimed presented similarly to strep. i was skeptical and expressed this, but she insisted i get tested. i asked Beth what i should do if these tests come back negative as well, and i asked if there was any chance the rapid test gave a false negative. she told me that the rapid test is the same test that the lab uses and is therefore extremely accurate, so a lab throat culture wouldn't say anything different. she then said she was pretty certain that the tests would be positive and told me to wait for a call with results. she didn't give me any medical advice or medication to ease the pain in the meantime, just told me to take ibuprofen. i'm assuming that Beth immediately jumped to the conclusion of STI due to my age (20s) and this location's proximity to ASU and i wouldn't be surprised if this clinic got a lot of STI cases so i understand why her mind went there. what i didn't appreciate was her lack of sympathy or concern for me as soon as she believed my symptoms to be due to an STI, and i left CVS feeling kind of upset and defeated. the following day CVS called me to tell me that the STI tests were both negative. i asked what i should do, what else could this be, and again could the strep test have been a false negative? the woman told me there's no chance it's a false negative and to come in again to be tested for mono if my symptoms still persist after 5 days. i told her that it had already been 4 days with no improvement, and she told me to "hang in there." i ended up going to an urgent care, which had a way higher copay by the way which was why i didn't go there to begin with, and told them what happened and they were a bit disturbed. they told me that the rapid strep test is only 70% accurate, a far cry from the extreme accuracy i was told. they then told me that STIs in the throat are not very common, so they weren't sure why a provider would jump to that conclusion. i was prescribed an antibiotic within 10 min and after ~2 doses i felt almost 100% better. overall i was extremely frustrated by the judgement and lack of help i received from CVS. do not come here unless you're looking to be judged and humiliated. read more

Can whoever trains the employees at this CVS please take over the training for ALL retail in America? I came in here twice during a visit to Phoenix and the employees here are so helpful! I came in at 11pm to buy snacks and was pleasantly greeted as we walked in and the cashier at the counter was really friendly. Then I returned before my flight at 5am to buy tampons and again I was greeted at the door and asked if they could help me find anything. Tampons on aisle 19 and this made my morning so much easier because I didn't need to aimlessly search for what I needed. It all seems so simple, but as we all know, good customer service is not. Worst fucking cvs I have evwr been too. I haven't received my medicine in 4 fucking days and I've been sick af. They are 3 weeks behind all of their prescriptions. This cvs is an absolute joke. 3 weeks behind and they have 2 pharmacists. Walked in today 25 people waiting and all the pharmacist are taking their time taking phone calls being lazy. They have great customer service, plus all the things you need (related to pharmacy...not literally all the things...so no, they don't have light sabers). Few questions I had about some products, staff was very helpful about it. The store staff at this location are so incredibly rude that I CANNOT spend another dime at this company!!! The pharmacy calls me multiple times PER DAY, EVERY DAY to ask me to refill prescriptions that should have been taken off my profile! When I ask how to turn off calling communications, the staff shrug at me and dimly state that "yes, calls are annoying, and you will get more calls on the weekend, but we can't do anything" !!!!! The pharmacy staff obviously don't listen when I tell them about changes to my prescriptions or simply don't care! They seem to only care about selling the prescriptions rather than if the customer actually needs to take the medication!! The restock staff are so rude that I am almost pushed out of the way if there is something that they need to get to! I walk in an experienced the worst customer service ever the woman behind the counter is named Aubrey is texting and I say hi and she rolls her eyes at me. Granted every time I usually come in here their customer service is great they ask me how I'm doing and if I need help finding anything. I brought up a complaint to the manager Bianka and she pretty much kicked me out of the store because I was telling her how bad their costumer service is. A CVS is, well, a CVS. This means a large, well-stocked generic drug store with a pharmacy and in many cases including this one a 'minute clinic' with a nurse practitioner. In fact, some are nicer than others. This is one of the good ones. I actually drive past another CVS to come here. That's partly because parking is easy but mostly because the pharmacy staff are really good and attentive and friendly. I have routine prescriptions filled. I've had a flu shot and other prescribed shots. All handled well, prescriptions ready when I arrive. read more

send your prescriptions somewhere else. its impossible to get ahold of a real person on the phone. the online system just doesn't show some prescriptions. it takes forever for them to get filled. i have to go in person to ask about the meds to get them to start filling them, and then have to come back later to pick them up. most recently i've waited a week to get my meds. the people are nice but whatever way the pharmacy is being run as a system is not workong read more

This is the best CVS pharmacy I have ever used. I am impressed time and time again at how the respectful, friendly and hard working the staff is. The ladies working the pharmacy are always sweet and going above and beyond. Shout out to Nhu, she is so sweet and always always always goes the extra mile and knows how important my insulin and type 1 care stuff is. Each pharmacist is on top of it and super genuine.
