This minute clinic made me wait 3 hours. I signed in at noon. Kiosk said 100min wait. 3 people in front of me. I came back at 1:30pm, and a little old lady was waiting there with no appointment. The doctor came out and asked if I was presently sick. I said yes and my name is next on the list. She said, well since she was waiting here the longest (she wasn't) she took her instead. Luckily, we found this place and I have never been to a CVS before...luckily they are still open late so I was able to get what I needed--Nyquil and eyedrops. Recent changes in state and federal law have forced insurance companies and medical providers to search for more economic and efficient ways to service the public. CVS contribution to that cause is "Minute Clinic" and it's brilliant. Today, I walked in around lunch time for treatment of a sinus infection. It took about 2 minutes to sign in at the kiosk and then a 5 minute wait before nurse practioner Lauren brought me in to talk. She was extremely helpful, even taking me through the store afterwards to locate other items for my condition. My prescription was filled by the time we were done. The whole process, from walking in to walking out, took 30 minutes; the amount of time you'd spend in your doctor's waiting room. Nice job CVS, thanks. read more

This a good CVS and the only one in the area with a Minute Clinic. The Minute Clinic here hardly has any wait and it is a great place to go if you have a minor illness, a lot better than going to an ER or Urgent Care center. They accept insurance in the Minute Clinic if you have a PPO plan but don't take HMO plans. Prices are fairly reasonable for the minute clinic. read more

Is it possible to give 0 stars? Ridiculously bad service. Doctor left emergency antibiotic prescription on voicemail message to be forwarded to east coast CVS at 3:45. After calling several times, prescription still not forwarded to east coast. They keep insisting that other CVS is not answering phone, despite us calling them 4 times and getting answer every time. Torrance CVS asked us to find out the other CVS fax number - what, no company directory? It is about 5 hours and 5 calls to each CVS later, and it is still not called in. We keep getting excuses. I will never return to this CVS again. I have to start by saying the wait was not long at all for me. However the staff is friendly but extremely incompetent. First off, the doctor prescribed me 14 pills...the pharmacy only gave me 12 so I had to drive back up there for two pills I should have had to begin with. Second, the doctor did not prescribe enough medicine because a week later I still have an ear infection. They do not accept my insurance and I refuse to pay another 100 dollars for a two minute consultation and improper diagnosis. Hopefully I can get an appointment with my primary care physician soon, but I will never never NEVER return to this minute clinic. read more

This cvs has very friendly and helpful staff. They have a great variety and are always well stocked. Parking is plentiful too.

Much cleaner (heard revamped recently) than one I usually go to that had higher review. Staff was very pleasant, happier. Had more of specific product I needed. I came to this CVS at night&think this looks like the gates of hell. Dark parking lot, can't see inside the store, only 2 doors, 1 in & 1 out. Someone said "It is set up where all of the strange and generally useless household stuff is in the front and all of the things you would need at a drugstore, in the back." Very pleased by the service, the nurse practitioner was friendly and direct, and more importantly I was comfortable being there. Lord knows how much I do not like doctor visits or anything related, but I was in and out in 30 minutes, and had the feeling she was genuinely concerned for my health. In the past I've been diagnosed wrong by multiple doctors which is quite frustrating, but she hit the nail on the head and my pain/ illness was subsiding that day! Customer service person (I will not name her name) ,was very rude and incompetent . I was two or three times older than her and she kept interrapting me, wasn't even looking in my eyes when she was taking with me. Young and stupid. Very,very disrespectful . I hope upper management reads this and makes nessesary corrections. We get a lot of things from this store, including all of our medications. We will take our business somewhere else if I don't see real improvement in customer service. Just yelling "Hi, how are you" when you entering the store is not gonna cut it anymore. read more

whatever you do, do not, i repeat, do not use their minute clinic. biggest joke, no wonder you have so many bad reviews and on ripoffreport. i came in there coughing all sort of nasty crap, body ache, etc. she took my blood pressure and heart rate and prescribed me over the counter mucinex d, and charged me $135!!!! i was in there for 7 minutes!!!! no test for strep? no bd veritor system to test for flu?? they did n o t a d a m n thing. read more

If you have medi-cal DON'T tell them!!!!! If they don't take your medi-cal plan they WON'T SEE YOU!!! I waited 45 minutes for my daughter to be seen, only for the nurse to refuse her service because CVS is not contracted with our insurance. Even if we pay CASH the nurse STILL CANNOT see her!! Had I known, I would have LIED and said we do not have any insurance!!! It's crazy to me that they can deny my child care and tell us to go somewhere else even if we can pay cash!!!!!!!!! I am beyond ANGRY about this situation and do not understand why???? Nor would I even care why!!!! I was directed to this cvs minute clinic by our regular cvs pharmacy to get insurance (hmo) covered flu shots for our entire family although we did not need any other services beyond the flu shot administration. When at the minute clinic we waited 30-45 for the NP to get our info, copy and process our insurance info. We were told the flu shot would be covered by our insurance by both our home cvs pharmacy and the minute clinic NP. But months later we got a bill for the full cost of flu shot/administration. I called the minute clinic billing department and they claimed there was nothing they could do. They suggested I call my insurance to cover the claim as it was determined to be out of network. They took no responsibility whatsoever. Beware, The minute clinic is not a urgent care. If I had not been assured by cvs Of insurance coverage I would have never have used the minute clinic. I have been getting the flu shot for decades and have never had billing problems. Beware of using the minute clinic! read more

Rude customer service guarantees that I won't be going back. Waited on line 3 minutes for Mary to check out a guy with one dozen eggs. Lots of chatting. I step up ready to pay and get going - the store phone rings, I am standing there as she chats away on what seems like a personal call. Another cashier opens up a register and the lady behind me steps up, so she is being checked out while I stand there like an idiot! I make a comment and Mary is nasty back, commenting about me to whoever she is chatting with! She probably thinks she is so very friendly but today she wasn't. This pharmacy used to be good & would have my prescription ready a week early, but now they've turned into a nightmare NEVER having my prescription ready I take birth control which you need to take every day & they mess up my schedule giving it to me in the middle of the week so I end up being late & needing to take 2 pills a night to catch up they won't give it to me telling me I'm 4 days early picking it up like what is the difference between now & 4 days if you give it to me or not I can't wait 4 days till the middle of the week they are not accommodating & this old man was very rude and snooty about it like you obviously don't know anything about birth control in another situation they had no communication with my doctor at all saying I needed an appointment with my doctor when I already saw my doctor who sent in the request!
