The Pharmacy ( Pacifica Pharmacy) had medication in stock that I needed desperately and instead of allowing my insurance who they contract with to purchase it they refused because they wanted a much higher price for it because the medication was in short supply. This is the definition of price gouging. When I tried to have my insurance contact them by phone they kept hanging up on them, refusing to speak to them about the situation. Sam who works at the pharmacy was extremely vague about the facts and rude with me. They were trying to extort me by telling me that the only way I couldget it the meds was to pay cash out-of-pocket for $169. When my Insurance who they are contracted with approved a price of $46, but the Pharmacy refused to accept that payment even though they were in violation of the contract that they had with my insurance company. Highly unprofessional, I felt like I was dealing with a cut throat business who would do anything to a customer to get more money out of them. read more

I have been referring clients to Pacifica for 15 years, but their customer care no longer warrants my loyalty. Sunday night I called in a perscription that needed compounded knowing they would receive it Monday morning. I called Tues and said they were working on it. I called Wednesday and said it would be ready Thurs. I said your message on your phone says 2-3 days and if need sooner let us know. I did let them know and they finally called Thursday night at 5:00 to tell me it was ready. I will no longer be using Pacifica Pharmacy!!! read more

We've been grateful to be using this pharmacy for several years. One of my kids has trouble taking normal oral meds so we've been able to get meds in lotion form from Pacifica which works really well for him for certain things. I do not recommend this business for anyone looking for a kind, professional, and communicative place to order compounded prescription drugs. I was referred to Pacifica Compounding Pharmacy with the understanding that my compounded medication would be processed quickly and ready for pickup after my 8 AM doctor's appointment. I had only planned to make a quick stop before my flight because I'd discovered a condition that morning at the doctor's office--something that seemed to have a simple, fast solution. I was told the pharmacy would call me shortly, as the doctor ordered it right away, understanding of the time-sensitivity. After waiting over four hours with no call, I obtained the number from my doctor to call the pharmacy myself. The receptionist said I did not have a prescription with them, then only located it after I insisted that I my doctor's office had just confirmed they had spoken with the pharmacy minutes earlier. When I tried to provide my insurance policy number to see how much the medicine would cost, she did not want to run it and simply said I would "need to send it in," without giving any instructions on how to do that (email? Phone? Etc). After I explained again that I'd already been waiting several hours, she finally agreed to run the insurance. She put me on hold, then came back and immediately began rattling off information at a rapid pace, not even checking whether I was on the line, as she told me the medication was not covered. When I said I wouldn't be able to fill it under these circumstances and thanked her for her help, she abruptly hung up with a curt, "Okay bye." After arriving at the airport, I had more time to research the prescription and checked my insurance website myself, only to discover that the medication actually WAS covered. This entire experience--from the initial denial of the existence of my prescription to the refusal to explain basic insurance steps, the rushed and dismissive communication, the misinformation, and the abrupt hang-up--was incredibly unprofessional and added unnecessary stress as I now seek to find medical care elsewhere. I cannot recommend this pharmacy for anyone who needs accurate information or dependable customer service. read more

Staff are not friendly or helpful. They are also very, very slow in fulfilling a perscription. They say they will call you when the drug is ready, but they don't! At least twice, I have had to call to follow up, only to find they have lost my perscription and never started compounding! I have used them three times, but never again. I would not recommend this pharmacy. read more

Exceedingly poor service. They close early and do t tell you and refuse to open back up when you are walking up to enter and they are leaving 7 minutes early. No apologies or acknowledgment of anything other than themselves. Just "yeah, we close early." When you talk to them on the phone they said their hours and nothing about closing early. read more
