Switching to Premier Family Pharmacy has been a breath of fresh air. I used to use big box pharmacies (think Rite Aid and later CVS) and finally threw in the towel after experiences getting refills or new prescriptions left me in tears on multiple occasions. I should have switched years ago. At this Pharmacy, the owner knows me by name. He always picks up my calls (or if I hit voicemail he immediately calls me back). He proactively calls me about medication refills. He calls my doctors (and doesn't lie about it like CVS does). Every conversation is filled with "thank you" and "I appreciate your choosing us." My medications are ready hours after my doctor prescribes them. Payam treats his clients like royalty and switching to his pharmacy has decreased my stress levels. The big brand pharmacies don't care about you or your business. I think that when you need medication quickly and safely it's important that someone does care. I'd urge anyone reading this to switch to their local small pharmacy and, if you live or work around Torrance, this pharmacy is a particularly good one! read more

This place tried to scam me. My doctor called in a prescription for me saying they were a great place, and would deliver. Ok. I got a text saying it was ready for pickup, so I called and asked about delivery. He said he could deliver it, and I asked about my copay. He's said "it's a very expensive medication. Not covered, but I got you a very good deal with a coupon." I asked again if he checked my insurance, and he said yes, it's not covered, and assured me that this was the best price I'd be able to get on this medication anywhere. ($55) I gave him my credit card number. After I hung up I looked it up on my insurance website, and the drug is FULLY COVERED, $0 copay! This man straight up lied to me! I called him back to cancel, and he couldn't even deny it, he just got defensive, and said "oh! You'd rather go to one of those big stores like CVS?!?" At least they don't lie to me! Seriously considering filing a formal complaint with the Board of Pharmacy. I'm really pissed! read more

Payam of Premier Family Pharmacy is excellent! I recently transferred my prescriptions to him from Walgreens Pharmacy. He just dropped off my prescription to me because I wasn't feeling well and couldn't pick it up. He also went into the shop today on his day off to fill my prescription because he wasn't able to have it for me sooner because of the holiday and a power outage! I needed some antibiotics delivered to my father ASAP because Kaiser pharmacy couldn't deliver them for another few days. Luckily I found this place on Yelp. It has many good reviews so I decided to try my luck. And in this case the reviews were all true. Payam was so helpful transferring the medications from another pharmacy and his staff was able to deliver the medications within an hour! We even called after hours to check the status of the delivery just to make sure, not expecting anyone to pick up the phone after 6pm. But Payam answered the phone and told us that the meds were delivered. I was very happy with how efficient the pharmacy was. But most importantly, I was impressed with how nice and patient Payam is. Like others say, he does care about his customers and his business. Even though we had to pay out of pocket for the drugs (they don't take Kaiser insurance obviously), it was money worth spent. Wow. I wish I could give them 100 stars. This is the first time I am using this pharmacy because our local CVS no longer carries some of the medications that my husband was prescribed. I was panicked and starting calling at least a dozen pharmacies. When I called and spoke to Payam at Premier, it was unbelievable. He said he would research and locate the manufacturer of the meds, and call me back. Within hours, Payam called me back, found the proper medications, and one was a polypill. It was incredible. Words cannot describe how creepy and weird this pharmacy is. I went here when I first moved to Torrance. I asked the pharmacist to transfer my prescriptions from my old pharmacy and he took over a week to even call them. Then he was surprised when after a week went by I needed a refill on one of them. I decided to hell with this guy and went elsewhere. Now he has called me 5 times and left messages each time saying he wants to talk to me. WTF? I can't say I've ever blocked a pharmacy's number before but I want to. The only reason I haven't is so I can count the number of times he has called and asked to talk. With my 1st visit he went well out of his way to make sure I received medication that was either covered by my insurance or had the largest discount.
