I have never had an issue. 6 years of me calling, ordering, transferring, asking questions and questions. They handle 6 - 7 of my daily heart meds along with other meds as needed. They are a "local" pharmacy, but you can't call the local store. Then they don't call you back. The people in the local pharmacy are good folks. Corporate management? They are the embodyment of the term "enshitification". The long and short of it: if you feel you should be able to speak with a pharmacist by phone with less than a 15 minute wait go somewhere else. New pharmacist at the Hazeldell, Vancouver branch. My first interaction was an incorrectly filled prescription, that turned into a nightmare due to the "I can do no wrong" attitude of the pharmacist. My doctor ordered a prescription a certain type of insulin for use in a pump. The prescription was incorrectly filled with a different type. The pharmacist believes he is entirely in the right because months ago there was another prescription on file for the second type of insulin. CVS internal documents show that the old prescription was not on auto fill, and the new type was correctly entered into the system. Probably just a simple human error, but not something you would expect from someone who is providing much needed medications. The reason I am at this stage is because even though there is ample internal CVS evidence of the error, the pharmacist will not admit it and won't either exchange the wrong insulin for the correct type or simply refund me the cost. Besides not having the correct insulin for over a month, being out of pocket by $105 having my AC1 shoot up to 8.1, overall I can say I'm kind of lucky. Lucky because I realized the pharmacist's mistake before I loaded the insulin into my pump. Without that, I might not have been alive to provide you with this warning. read more

This is by far the most unprofessional cvs pharmacy I've ever used. They're ALWAYS understaffed. The female pharmacist thinks she's a dr and decided weather or not she will fill your prescriptions. Now I'm here at 9 am to pick up my prescriptions at now 9;08am and their pharmacist just hasn't shown up (they open at 9). I also work 7 days a week, so it's hard enough to get in here during their hours. To top it off, it takes days to get a prescription filled because of the understaffing. We stopped at CVS for our flu shots today. That was a fiasco if there ever was one. First of all they want you to check in for your shot by scanning the QR code. That should work if you have a phone but it didn't. I kept getting they were having an error. Employee wasn't to willing to assist so decided just to get it elsewhere. However, that wasn't the only fiasco. Husband can't scan because he has an Apple watch. So, out came all his insurance and ID but that soon was a little difficult to process here too. No problem. We went down the road to the Safeway in Woodland, had our flu shots in less than 10 minutes without an issue. read more

It's CVS that has ruined ALL former-Target pharmacies, though many of the workers are really bad, especially the new ones. If not for the excellent service and awareness of the new manager, the lies that were being told per CVS' instructions on the computer that the other workers kept trying to feed me (as if I don't know what my doctor prescribed and for how much and how long--YOUR COMPANY LIED and illegally tried to change my doctor's prescription and keep me from my much-needed medicine for OVER TWO MONTHS!!), then I'd still be without my scrip! NO WONDER all of the longtime friends I knew who were excellent workers have quit and left!! So, I will NOW be filing complaints with the state AG AND CVS' OWN (alleged, probably a BS 'dept.') dept. of Ethics until someone takes care of CVS for GOOD! As for me, I'm transferring my scrips away IMMEDIATELY to ensure that your corrupt company can NEVER DO THIS TO ME AGAIN, and I urge everyone to do the same!! My wife gets her scripts filled here and it's always a nightmare for her. I've tried to tell her to switch because of the constant delays. My daughter had surgery this morning and the script is send over at 8 AM. As soon as I was told it was Target I tried to get it switched to the more competent Walgreens but it was too late. 4.5 hrs later I'm sitting in the parking lot with a child in writhing pain waiting for them to fill the scripts. I should have know it was going to be an issue when 3 of the 4 people ahead of me to pick up their scripts were told theirs weren't ready yet either. Do better CVS people are relying on you and you continually fail. read more

Most frustrating experience, pretty much every time I come in. I've received texts that my prescription is ready only to get there and wait another two hours, consistently had them tell me they are out of very common medications, and take several days to fill simple orders. Currently on my third day of waiting for beta blockers. I don't understand their business model as CVS has a mail order pharmacy, yet the people on site at this one spend most of their time filling mail orders. I've switched to the CVS mail order which has been completely problem free. Only giving two stars instead of one because the folks that work the front desk seem to care. Wish they didn't work for a place that keeps them so stressed all the time. Wish my employer had more pharmacy options. read more

These other reviews are mostly older and one even complains for being ignored bc she was on her cell phone? Perhaps I'm out of touch at the whopping age of 42, but last time I checked it's rude to be on your phone and expect service. Call me old fashioned. Clearly I'm nearly on my death bed. Sometimes the line is long, the wait is a little more than you'd like, but often I get service immediately. It's called supply and demand. Four stars bc of the wait sometimes. They're nice people doing the best they can under a giant corporate umbrella. I bet they each have 17 different bosses up the chain. That would really suck always worrying about screwing up in an unforgiving environment. Hard to be human. Nice people and always helpful. I have no real complaints. Seems like so many want perfection, and they want it for free. Im truly disappointed where society is going. Bunch of spoiled brats keep getting louder and louder. Hats off to the good people who work hard to satisfy the self righteous. Not all heroes wear capes. But lots of the villains love their knock off Uggs ;-) read more

The have always been helpful, efficient and give fairly painless vaccinations. I have been going there for monthly prescription refills and have had all my (6) vaccinations at CVS. Never an issue. In fact, the opposite they have filled RX's and made every effort to handle customers well. Maybe just maybe it is your attitude that creates problems. Some people are unable to deal with the slightest delay or issue. Come on people it may be you. read more

I use CVS pharmacy because I have to for my insurance. I repeatedly have difficulties with their automated system. It tries to refill prescriptions when I'm not ready to have them filled, it won't let me refill prescriptions that I should be able to refill, it inactivates prescriptions that should not be in activated, and then I have to call the doctor myself to get it reactivated, they scheduled me for vaccinations that Iand on and on and on and on. I have requested multiple times via phone calls and via their app to not have my prescriptions automatically refilled, however, all attempts have been to no avail. I intend to report these difficulties to my insurance provider, and if they have any other options at all for a pharmacy I will certainly stop using CVS. My recommendation is to not use CVS pharmacy if not absolutely necessary! I would give it zero stars if that was an option. read more

Called here today because I wanted to switch my cats inhaler medication here because its much cheaper. The gentleman who helped me was very polite. He called my current pharmacy for her prescription so I didn't have to do anything extra which was super convenient. I arrived to pick up her medication and the nice lady who helped me was nervous to tell me the price. But I ensured her I specifically did my business with them because her inhaler at the previous pharmacy was $240. I couldn't find any coupons online. CVS automatically discounted it without me showing my coupon I got her medication for 165! I will definitely continue doing my business here because thats a heck of a discount I enjoyed every interaction with the staff tonight, keep it up! read more

After nearly one year of going here I can advise: AVOID this CVS at ALL COSTS! I feel for those techs, there was never more than one pharmacist on duty, ever. There were 1 or 2 techs, one of them had to work the cash register. They were clearly miserable and rarely friendly (understaffing = long waits = angry customers). I never waited less than 15 minutes to drop off a script, they NEVER filled one in less than an hour. Today was the final straw, after waiting a full 24 hours, they called and said they couldn't fill my prescription because "it didn't come in". They never had enough and were always giving me less, but to not be able to fill it for 2 days?! I went to Fred Meyer pharmacy, 3 registers were open, I walked right up, noticed 2 pharmacists working, and my pills were ready in 10 minutes! The nicest thing? THEY WERE FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. CVS is the worst pharmacy I've used and I'll never go back. read more

I switched to CVS because of the convenience of location. Worst mistake. Not once but twice I've had the staff be extremely rude to me. The last time the pharmacist and tech completely ignored me for more than 10 minutes because I was on my phone while waiting for them to call me up. A Disaster! I've used the pharmacy inside Target for years. It used to be just fine. Totally convenient, and I always felt like I was quickly informed when my prescription was ready. That all changed now that CVS has taken over. They forced me to use their text system to get updates about my prescriptions. However, 95% of the time, I don't receive the text messages. I called the pharmacy about one of my prescription refills. The pharmacist admitted that the text system doesn't always work, but it's administered by a third party, so they have no control over it. I asked if the human employees at the pharmacy felt any responsibility to actually call customers when prescriptions were ready. The answer was a "no," loud and clear. So then they wanted me to refill my prescriptions using their app. Another mistake. The refill order never went through. If you want reliable, friendly service, go to any other pharmacy. This one is a disaster, and they definitely do not care about their customers. read more

The male pharmacist here is incredibly rude and unhelpful. I went here to get my hep b vaccine because I took a test and found out I was not immune to hepatitis b. I told him that and he insisted that I was immune to hepatitis b if I had the shots. Obviously, I'm not and neither are 10% of the people who get the series of three vaccines. After acting like I had no idea what I was talking about and asking me if the reason I want to get it is because I'm going to "be exposed to needle pricks," he finally went to get my shot. After he came back he said "you seem upset." Astute observation! This pharmacy has been unbelievably slow in the past, but the way I was treated today was not okay. read more

My son just moved to Portland to attend college, and we chose CVS because it has always been a reliable pharmacy in our city, which is outside of Oregon. My son's doctor sent his much-needed medication that sustains his life to this CVS and he was told that it wasn't in stock and would be ordered and ready in two days. Two days later, it still was not in and it would be there in five days. My goodness, this is Portland, not some isolated village in Alaska. Nine days after receiving the prescription, this CVS store still has not filled it. My son will have a gap in his medication and he requires this medication every day. We are switching to Rite Aid. read more
