I understand the challenges of taking lunch while maintaining operations, but closing a pharmacy advertised as open 24hrs in the middle of the day is a pretty poor way to run a business. I sat at the drive thru for 25 minutes and watched 2 cars drive off without getting their prescriptions. Then I drove off without getting my prescription. I called to get my prescription mailed to me. I logged in to my account the next morning and my prescription was still at the store. Checked in in the afternoon and my prescription was still there. Called everyday for four days and my prescription was still there! Finally, I talked to the pharmacist and my prescription was shipped. It got to the post office at 4am and delivered to me at 10am. This proves that it sat in the store for four days. It only took a few hours for the post office to delivery it to me. read more

Omgosh......I mean like really? Forget the drive thru because you will wait an hour.....but if you're like me and go in while your husband is in the drive thru because you made a bet you could get your Rx quicker you would see why you're waiting so long......this time I went in there were 4 people behind the pharmacy counter......2 who were more than capable to work the window and run a register were just standing around looking at a computer.....they could see me clear as day just waiting for help. Another pharmacist came in and she had to take care of an apparent problem at the window. When she did the two who were capable of helping at the register again just followed her and watched what she was doing.....there are continual issues at this pharmacy with people standing around not helping people.......honestly I don't know anyone who has an extra 1/2 hour to wait for 1 prescription. And this was on a Tuesday night between 7:45 and 8:15. What I don't understand is why Walgreens is going out of business and these people aren't. I almost asked told them to consider unionizing because they don't do their job and watch others do it for them. Classic. Go to Walgreens people. I have been going to this CVS for years and today I had the worst customer service by a rude, disrespectful girl name Brittney. Some people should not be in customer service and she is clearly one of those people. Instead of listening to what I was saying she was talking over me and tried to speak to me as if I didn't know anything. The only reason we go to this CVS was because the service was so great even when you waited almost an hour on the phone. Now with all the good people leaving it is time to find somewhere else. They do a great job of keeping things well stocked and having a good assortment of seasonal items. Make sure you scan your CVS card at the kiosk, you are almost guaranteed to get a coupon for something on your shopping list. I have found their store brand comparable to meant brand-name items they sell, so feel free to take advantage of their great sales. read more

I went in this morning to be forced to do self check out. I rang the bell for assistance as I refuse to use self checkouts. Can they be any lazier? They guy was pissed off to have to help. I'm a self-proclaimed CVS-aholic, and this is one of my favorite locations! It's not a big CVS by any means, but they're pretty well-stocked and I almost always find what I'm looking for. After having ventured to several poorly-stocked, poorly-staffed, messy CVS stores in both NYC and Boston, it feels good to come home to the small, well-kept Vernon location. This CVS is minutes from my workplace, so I stop here often to pick up prescriptions, last-minute birthday cards, half-priced microwave dinners, BOGO lipglosses, and you-name-it during my lunchbreak. I've even gotten a ton of free stuff from CVS just by checking the flyers, waiting for sales, and combining manufacturer's coupons with my CVS bucks. Another great thing about this particular location is the beauty department. Whenever a new product comes out, this is one of the first locations to put it on display (unlike the South Windsor one...which is actually closer to home). And the cosmetics lady is ALWAYS telling me about upcoming deals and coupons, which I appreciate. read more

This is a review of the photo department in Vernon. We printed holiday cards using "Express Printing" rather than "1 Hour Printing". The machine listed the price of 74 cents per card for both options so we decided to use Express. When we went to check out, Liz did not give us envelopes with our holiday cards. Later, when we realized this, we went back to get the envelopes and Liz told us they don't give envelopes for holiday cards when you use "Express Printing". We called another CVS Store and the person I spoke to not only was willing to give me envelopes, but offered to call the store because of course we should get envelopes with our holiday cards. He spoke to someone in Vernon who agreed and told us to return to CVS and get our envelopes. We went back to CVS for the third time and Liz was still there. At first, Liz maintained that envelopes do not come with "Express Printed" holiday cards. We told her that another CVS had agreed we should get envelopes regardless of the speed of printing. Liz still refused to give us envelopes so we asked to speak to another manager. With an attitude, Liz gave us the wrong size envelopes for the holiday cards. We told her we needed the correct size envelopes. She gave them to us but it was 3 cards short of the amount we ordered. I told her we needed more envelopes and she gave them to us plus 2 extra. This review is in regards to the photo center at CVS. I had received the CD with my enagement pictures and was anxious to print them all. So my sister and I along with my corgi mix piled in the car to our local CVS. Let me just say things went downhill quick. I put the CD in and selected my pictures and the machine would not proceed to the next screen. I called over the photo associate and he suggested that I put the CD in another machine. By now some time had elapsed and even though it wasn't that hot out we started to get worried about the pooch. I am including this in the review because I would never expect to be there for 30 minutes plus just to print out pictures! Anyways my sister ended up walking the dog home while I prayed for the machine to work. Well it never did and after a significant amount of time, I left empty handed! I would give this location 1 star for their photo center but the photo associate went above and beyond to help and was very apologetic. I ended up going to CVS.com later that night, selecting the pictures I wanted and picking them up at this location. The same associate gave me a discount and coupon for my troubles. Either way I will never use their photo machines again! I will utilize CVS.com or another company. Time for them to upgrade their equipment to this decade! read more

I had a bad case of poison ivy, and at 11pm , bed time, I was still in pain ...I drove to this CVS location, Rte.83 Vernon, and went to the First Aid Isle, found two different products. I wasn't sure which one to buy...I then noticed the Pharmacy was still open at 11:30pm!! I walked over and talked with the Pharmacist on duty, and he was able to answer my questions with regards to which product to buy , after seeing my poison ivy on my arms. I was treated more then unfairly by the PHARMACY. I went to pick up one my prescriptions the same time I always do only to find out it was put on hold. The system was down so I had to leave. When it was ready and I picked it up I asked the Pharmacist why it would have been put on hold, he gave me several reasons none of which fit. I did call the day before and talked to the SAME TECH TWICE. I received an ATTITUDE from her both times. When people mess with you because they can it's more than unfair. My brother and I came in here for something. We were looking at the beef jerky. All the bags were open. So I went to grab a basket. My brother said let's go because bags open. I went to CVS as I always do to pick up my RX...Long time customer. While there I decided to get one of those $2.99 tote bags, I grabbed it and put it on my shoulder. The wait was about 20 mins and I finally get to the counter and check out. I then leave, when I got home I realized I totally forgot to pay for the tote!!! I kinda just thought "oh well" heck its free advertisement for them anyway...Fast forward a week and the POLICE are at my house!!! The store manager called the cops on me over 2.99!!...SO now I have to miss work and deal with court, pay fines and hopefully not have my work find out and lose my job! Now this manager I had a run in a few weeks before where she was very rude and told the customers in the store with me "this is why we need security" This was nothing more than retaliation. the pharmacy is great here compared to the one down the road in rockville which totally sucks because both the pharmacist and the tech ( blond and really stupid subserviant } were total snots and would not easily comply with a coupon cvs gave me !!!! they acted like they we' re above me even though their own manager agreed that i was totaly right.i do hope they correct the problem staff there but glad the one by the circle is ok. read more
