Do not use this pharmacy. One of the worst customer service experiences of my life. Almost dehumanizing. Went to the pharmacy to pick up a prescription with my sick 3 year old and was told it was not ready yet. I asked for an estimate on when it would be ready and was scoffed at and told at least 2 more hours. I tried to buy another item but was told "don't you see I'm busy, go away." This CVS/pharmacy location is convenient if you are staying at the Courtyard Marriott Willoughby - as it is just a couple of doors down from the hotel. I stopped in to see if they had a single serving bottles of tomato juice or V-8 juice for next morning to go with my vitamins and medications. Of course they did not - seems to be a theme in Ohio - I could not find this size beverage at most of the drug stores I visited - one out of five carried what I was looking for. I ended up buying the large bottle of V-8, sticking it in the mini-fridge in my hotel room overnight, drinking what I needed, and leaving the rest behind - which I hate doing as it is wasteful. I also picked up some toothpaste here. Service at the register was prompt. read more

CVS Pharmacy - the front of a cvs pharmacy - Drugstores Near Me - WILLOUGHBY, Ohio

My issue is not it's the pharmacy but with the store. My husband and I entered the store to get two passport photos and to purchase other items from the store. The young African American male asked if he could help me and I told him why I was there. He said "Okay!" Then my husband and I were standing around waiting, for what we don't know. If the cashier was not the one taking our picture he should have given us some instructions that it would be someone else taking our picture and how long we had to wait. After five minutes we turned around and left the store and headed to Walgreens across the street and got way better customer service. I will never go to that cvs store again! If I could leave no stars I would. I understand short staffed and all what Covid has caused. I have been a customer at CVS for decades. But I draw the line at the new policy of closing the pharmacy between 1:30-2:00pm. I was just at CVS of course a long line at the drive thru and inside. I was there at about 1:25pm. One of the pharmacy staff started to closed up the pharmacy with a long line of customers still. One customer asked if they would still wait on some customers. Was told "Sorry we close 1:30 - 2 everyday" and proceeded to closed the door with customers in line. I am done with CVS, I can go to Walgreens next door just as easy. If I could rate this customer service as negative stars I would. I have been waiting on the phone for over a total time of an hour plus, and have been hung up on twice so far. Whoever works the phones should get off theirs and actual start doing their job before people die of not getting their medicine in time. This is a huge risk to the public population as cvs is a huge supplier to medicine in heavy populated areas. For the service to be as of this quality is embarrassing and unacceptable. read more

Went to pick-up a prescription for Renexa on 4-3 and was told that it would not be available until the truck delivered 4-6. They acted like I was an inconvenience to them for expecting the drug to be in stock. I went across the street to Walgreens and they had in stock. Don't go to this CVS. read more

I would not even rate this, place! Horrible pharmacy! Bad customer service!! Dont go there on Sunday because the techo behind the counter (red hair) has an attitude problem everytime I pick up, my rx. Oh also the automatic refill does, not work because it will call you and your rx will not be ready when you get there. Minute Clinic and Pharmacy...what a joke. I went to the minute clinic because it is in my network for my insurance. I was having ear trouble (felt and sounded like I was in a bubble, could of been was build up or and infection). I was in a little pain so I thought infection. I did just walk in (minute, awesome) however the nurse lady was nice but I don't think she new what she was doing. She looked in my ears for half a second said they were inflammed and she would send a prescription over to the pharmacy for drops. Ok, so I go over to the pharmacy (it's $120 for them...um NO) so she resends a new perscription over that is $25 (that's better but, still a lot I thought). So I sit and wait and she said they would call my name when it was ready...and I wait, and wait and wait. It was busy a steady flow of people and the drive through and calls...but, I waited and waited and waited... finally a break in the line - a young man behind the counter says "are you waiting for a perscription" I say "yes" tell him my name and he looks int he bin "oh yeah it's ready, it's been ready" - really, why didn't you call my name...he say's "you should have said something sooner"...oh ok, yeah maybe but you should have called my name. then I leave and standing in the parking lot is the nurse lady - smoking a cigarette (wow) I use to be a smoker so I get it but, go in the back not in the front of the store. AND HERE IS THE KICKER...I did the drops that night and the next morning (then I decided to do the debrox was removal kit on my own, it's an otc product)...well guess what, a large chunck of wax squished out - Whalaa...I can hear and no pain....$25 perscription, in the trash... Hoping our renewel of insurance this year get us Walgreens back (so much better and closer) I won't go back... read more

The staff at the pharmacy seems to go out of their way to not help you. However, after getting the runaround from several CVS locations, including this one. I did get a help suggestion from the pharmacist here. Her advice was quite simple....."You can try Walgreens". As it turns out they treated me with respect, were more than happy to help me, and my prescription was cheaper. read more

The store is located close to home and usually has what I'm looking for, although the pharmacy is absolutely terrible, slow service. Do not even think about going through the little pick up window, you will be waiting for forever! Thinking about getting my prescriptions filled somewhere else because of how long it takes each time. read more

Before I start my review of the CVS Willoughby Hills, OH pharmacy, I would like to point out that I generally get good service when I shop at the store for other things and am a frequent shopper at CVS. However, as of this week, I plan to no longer use their pharmacy. I am fairly new the regular maintenance drug routine and only in the past few months have had an occasion to regularly use pharmacy services. I originally chose CVS in Willoughby Hills b/c it was convenient and the good service I had received otherwise. My first prescription was ok, the second to me about 1/2 hour to get. Then number three was when I decided that I didn't need the hassle. I went to pick up a prescription that my doctor and sent in. My Medicare card "didn't work" and I was told that they don't make calls, I would have to call and get it sorted out. When I called Medicare I was told that if THEY had called from the pharmacy that they could have verified the information at that time. I only live about 29 minutes away, but why do I have to make two trips to pick up a prescription. If it was my first prescription there it would be different, but it was not. After talking with Medicare, I called CVS to let them know that I had the problem corrected and to make sure that I could pick up the prescription. After working my way to the pharmacy and getting a live person, I began to explain why I was calling before I could finish and without any word there was a click and I was put on hold. A while later, someone else answered the phone with another "CVS pharmacy, how can I help you." I explained why I was calling and asked if I needed to do anything else to pick up the prescription and asked if it was ready. I was told that the prescription would be ready the next day and they wouldn't know until I came in if I needed anything else. I then asked what the amount was. The amount was 4X what my husband (who had switched to Walgreens about a year earlier because of poor service and overcharging) had paid for the same prescription at Walgreens (just down the street) a week before. So,, after the snooty service, and higher pricing, I called my doctor and asked to have m prescription filled at Walgreens at 84 and 90. I do not feel that b/c it is a prescription drug that the person providing it to me is above and beyond providing good customer service at a reasonable price. If the doctors and others at the Cleveland Clinic can show empathy, compassion, and put up a note that if I have to wait more than 20 minutes, let someone know. Why should I expect less from the CVS pharmacy. There were at least eight people behind the counter when I have been there, and while they appear to be busy a smile would go a long way. While sitting waiting I observed that they treat everyone the same (poorly). At Walgreens, I received excellent service from a very friendly person and the lower pricing. Also, the other person I interacted with there was friendly and helpful. So I ask you why would I go back to CVS and be treated like it was my good luck that I was able to have my prescription filled there, be overcharged, and have some of the worst customer service I have received (from their pharmacy department). While I am sure that my small amount business is no real loss to them, I choose not to be treated like that, and am glad that I have alternatives. read more

I want to start by stating that, yes, this cvs can be frustrating at times in the pharmacy area but it's probably due to the high volume and lack of staff. I have several medical issues and I'm at this location a lot! I love the pharmacists! Christine (the pharmacy manager) is a sweetheart. They all know me well. I'm an observer of human behavior. As I wait, I hear the rudest comments from customers directed at the staff regarding everything under the sun that they have no control over regarding prescriptions. Remember, these individuals are trying to do their jobs. They are human and have feelings. Pharmacists and technicians have very stressful jobs. I watch them do their best under impossible conditions. I get it. So, if it means waiting a few more minutes to get a script filled, I'll do it rather than risk an error like I have had at other chain pharmacies. In my opinion, this pharmacy staff is amazing. My only recommendation to cvs corporate is to add more staff to the pharmacy area. Don't be so stingy with your payroll. read more

On 3/20/18 @ 2:00pm, This location said I was not covered by my insurance so I sat in their waiting area while I talked to my insurance company. They verified I was covered and that they were not running my insurance so I spoke to Holly who said it was saying my birthday was wrong. My insurance (that I had on the phone the whole time) ran a test claim and everything was fine. My insurance said they would call the pharmacy so I gave them the number. As I sat there, overhead I heard announcements about every 15 seconds say 'One call for Pharmacy....One call for Pharmacy" and not a single person answered. I went back to the counter to talk to the employee named Holly and she gave me an attitude that nobody called them. I know she was lying because I sat there listening to their announcement system say there was a pharmacy call for TEN minutes. I will not use this location again, they are lazy and incompetent!!! read more

I came here for the minute clinic and was extremely satisfied. The nurse practitioner was very kind and helpful. I was in and out. Registration was easy. The pharmacy staff seem very exhausted yes, but until you've worked in such an environment where people blame you for their insurance flaws then you don't fully understand.
