I am an elderly lady and while I was inquiring of one of the pharmacy staff members about the pricing of a prescription due to previous confused information the pharmacist, Hanna Futrell, decided to insert herself into my conversation with the staff member. She then proceeded to negatively escalate the situation and was condescending and bullish, trying to intimate me and then telling me to leave, to which I refused. I asked to speak to the store manage, and she said she was it. Ms Futrell requires retraining in the simple art of compassion, customer courtesy and de-escalation. She purported to be the "boss" and as such, she should know how to conduct herself professionally. By taking such an aggressive and provocative attitude toward a customer in front of her subordinates and other customers she demonstrated lack of sensitivity for the elderly, thereby creating an unnecessary and stressful encounter. A true professional would have requested to speak one-on-one with the customer, to ascertain whether she could actually be of some help. Her behavior as an employee and representative of CVS was simply abhorrant and unacceptable. read more

My business is almost always with the Pharamacy Dept at the corner of 17th and South College Street. Yes, there are waits for service in line more times than not, But what about the lines at the grocery checkouts? Stores like CVS cannot hire just anyone. What would be the consequences if, for example, people were hired just for the pharmacy that can not read for purpose or concept and to see that the script being handed over to us customers is the correct scrip to the correct person. A bad scene indeed would happen. Hire more people? There are numerous signs in place seeking employees. We are in a high labor need in most places in the US. This is the worst managed CVS Pharmacy in town! They just seem to hire anyone off the street to work in customer-facing positions within the pharmacy. They don't seem to have any relevant knowledge whatsoever and are just deer in the headlights. I stopped by to pick up a prescription that the doctor sent to them hours earlier. The staff member said it will be ready in 10 minutes because they "have been backed up" which translates to oh since you're here, now we'll finally start filling it. I also didn't like that the staff member verbally asked me for my last name, first name, and date of birth as they typed it into the computer. With a relatively uncommon name, I have to go through the inconvenience of spelling it out for them. I would rather just hand over my ID card. What happened to the days when you could just give the person the first three letters of your last name and they would go pick it up from the shelf? Please reinstate this ease for customers. Their prescription prices are generally higher than competitors in the area too. I don't get what their strategy is. How do they expect to stay in business when they have poor service and high prices while their nearby competitors have good service and low prices? Obviously, I transferred my prescriptions out of CVS. Good riddance! read more

I only stopped by this one today since it is next door to Aldi where I had just been This CVS is dirty, shelves without products, but worst of all is the rude staff. I asked a staff member today if she would check me out at her register after she had to void a transaction for me at self checkout, which she clearly didnt want to do and hates her job...she flat out refused and said "you can run it through here again." My discounts still didnt come up, so I said I wouldnt buy the items, returned them and as I walked out I said "You refused to assist me as I requested. You suck and your customer service sucks" as she was messing around with a drawer at the same self check out. I dont feel bad at all for what I said. Wont ever be going back to that location...and have been a CVS customer for over 25 years. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. No employees to be found to help. Needed to use the bathroom while I was there. Womens bathroom had no toilet paper, paper towels, there was trash all over the floor, and blood on the toilet seat. My boyfriend went to his bathroom and the toilet was filled with feces, trash all over the floor. No one here seems to care about the cleanliness of their store or the happiness of their customers. read more

This is my primary pharmacy, and my review is for the pharmacy staff. I am here each month for my prescription, and usually call ahead. I have had questions a few times I was there, and the staff usually directs me to a nice gentleman who always has an answer for me (I wish I knew his name, but I don't). He must be the head pharmacist. He always gives me a thorough answer and really cares that I understand the answer. The pharmacists always are busy but there is still usually a line for prescriptions. I think they could even stand to hire a few more pharmacists. The staff who ring me up are hit or miss. Some are fine, some have been a bit rude/rushed. Nothing too horrible. I am always in and out pretty quick. read more

This CVS has what must be the worst pharmacy in the city of Wilmington. We've been using it for several years only because it's a quick drive from the house, but the straw has broke the camels back and we've switched all our prescriptions. EVERY TIME for the last year we've gone to pick up a prescription there's been an issue, usually that it's not ready, despite the fact that we've received a message that it's ready for pickup. Most recently, while still changing pharmacies, we called in a prescription for my son. A week later we go to pick it up, they tell us they don't have anything with his name on it called in. Ok maybe we made a mistake and it's at the new pharmacy, so we go there and they tell us it's in the computer ready for pick up at the pine valley CVS. Talking to them in the phone from the new pharmacy seemed like talking to a brick wall. Never again. Worst. Pharmacy. Ever. read more

I needed to blow up helium balloons for an event so I went here after calling around to multiple other places in town, all of which were out of helium. When I went inside, I went straight to the counter to ask for help. The woman told me it would be a few minutes because she would have to figure out the price. After about five minutes she proceeded to ask me how many balloons I needed. I counted out twenty balloons, she laughed and said it would be a while. Because I was short on time I decided to leave and come back. I returned twenty minutes later and they were only about half way done. In total it took 45 minutes to blow up twenty balloons. I had pre purchased the balloons yet it was still 75 cents each to blow up which I think is really expensive. read more

This is my favorite pharmacy! I have been getting prescriptions filled here as long as I have lived in the Monkey Junction area and I have never once recieved bad service from any of the staff in any department.The pharmachy staff is very friendly.they are always able to move the line at the pharmacy quickly, while never making me feel rushed when it's my turn.I feel very comfortable discussing any questions I have with them. This is also the only place I will get photos developed.On one occasion, a photo I had developed had a brown splotch on it. I brought it back in and the associate quickly printed a new one for me. I hardly had to wait. There are always unexpected great deals. There is always a broad selection of products and I have become a fan of their generic brand. read more

Went to get a flu shot was told to take a seat and a form would be brought out to me to fill out and sign. After waiting twenty minutes I got on the line to speak to the pharmacist. She never offered an apology just told me that she paged me, a page I never heard even though I was sitting no more than twenty feet away. I asked for her managers name and she gave me her first name, I had to ask her for her full name and phone number. She refused to give me her direct phone number but told be to call 1800 shop Cvs. I wasted another ten minutes waiting for someone to pick up. No one ever did, Tried again when I got home am currently waiting to speak to a representative. Apparently this is the managers and or her Boss scheme to prevent you from reaching a responsible executive. Its been 10 plus minutes. We have been using CVS for over 40 years we will soon be changing to a customer friendly Pharmacy if this Pharmacist and customer service is the best they have to offer. read more

This place is a nightmare. The pharmacists you deal with are always different so there's no consistency they send your doctor so many requests that you don't even know about that it becomes very confusing for all parties and they send you a million automated texts and you get so stressed out you need more meds just to calm down. The nicest thing I can say about this CVS is that it is close to our house. The pharmacy service is poor, the staff is rude and I try to avoid going there at all costs. As a last resort, I had a weekend prescription called into this location. The woman working the drive thru window was rude, condescending and shouldn't be working in a customer service role. This was the last straw for me. After trying to give this location the benefit of the doubt, I am done with their poor service, sloth like turnaround time and unwelcoming staff I will never be back. read more

Horrible - just horrible customer service. Even when you call in your refill or your doctor calls in an order, they still do not fill it until you get to the store. Three times now I have had this happen - and instead of just popping in to pick up my order I have had to waste my whole lunch break waiting for them to fill it. Very very very annoying. Only one star for the pharmacy or I would rather give it no stars. The lines are quite long even though there are several staff on duty there. On top of that each time they make mistakes, which translates into more wait and it does not mean that they fix their errors. No apologies offered. Very rude and unprofessional. There are plenty of pharmacies that compete for customers. I take my business elsewhere. This pharmacy management and staff need to be replaced. read more
