The office is a beautiful free standing building, the aromas are relaxing, the staff is friendly and they all knew my name the 2nd time I walked in. On Jan. 13, 2020, she performed a tummy tuck on me while coordinating with my obgyn who was performing a hysterectomy on me. The two surgeons worked together flawlessly and ever so professionally. I knew I was in good hands with both doctos. I came home one day later after surgery from Houston Methodist Hospital. No complications. Today, I looked in the mirror and I have a flat tummy, the scars are expected (yet minimal) and I can't be happier! I've never had a flat tummy.....and it hasn't even been two full weeks yet! I can only imagine what I'll look like months down the road. Thank you, Dr. Sumpter & staff. Calling you was the best decision I've ever made! See you soon. (PS. With certain services, you also get freebies like botox, massage, facials, etc. You bet I'm going to take advantage of that while I'm off from work!).

On the positive side, their pricing structure is competitive to other practices I researched, and the staff is consistently friendly, responsive, and supportive. The overall customer service experience has been excellent--they are attentive, easy to work with, and the doctor weekly post-ops for 4 weeks because my case has become one reflecting on her professional quality. The issue my rating is lowered due to the surgical outcomes. Despite the doctor is double board-certified surgeon with what I believed to be extensive experience in cosmetic surgery and open revision rhinoplasty, I ended up with an approximately one-inch visible cutting scar across my nose, right in the middle of my face!! The procedures took 9 hours which indicates some challenges she was facing. I also learned later that a cosmetic surgeon is not equivalent to a plastic surgeon. Her sutures are rough and uneven, causing bruises and prominent scar at post-ops. Although she offered free micro-needling treatments, the accidental scar should NOT happen to begin with a DOUBLE boards certified professional!! Additionally, with lower and upper eyelid blepharoplasty, the eyelids resulted in asymmetry, one big and one small eyes. The lower eyelid incisions were not drawn equally and results in an ectropion - lower eyelid sagging appearance in my right eye. At six weeks post-op, I am still trying to understand and process these results. Prior to committing, I asked to review pictures of her patients had reviewed, of course I did not see any example of this complication & outcome. That said, I did sign a waiver that mentioned such risks, which in hindsight suggests the professional quality. Also, any corrective surgery will be extra cost. In my case of lower eyelid correction, an out-patient procedure can be done with local anesthetic to tighten the lower lid tarsal plate of which she would not perform. Also, she has vetted ownership with the Cy-Fair Surgery Center. That said, she would not do any out-patient corrective procedure unless it requires a general anesthetics at Cy-Fair facilities which will cost higher. To the surgeon's credit, she has been kind, communicative, and willing to monitor my condition closely. She offered to provide 3 free micro needling sessions "on the scar" for me. However, for the sagging eyelid, to my surprise, she told me to massage and tape the lower eyelid for an experiment up to six months to see if things improve naturally, which is difficult given the current appearance and impact on my daily life. Overall, while the service and care have been strong, the surgical results have been disappointing so far. I hope for improvement over time as well as seeking correction from other doctors and scars specialists. The bottom line should be known that her certified cosmetic surgeon skills are less than standard. So at this stage, I feel a 1-star rating is a fair reflection of the damages and concerns

I was having issues over a weekend, after my mastectomy and tissue expander surgery, that resulted from a major fall two weeks out of surgery. He and his nurse, Vanessa, were following up with me closely after the fall with office visits, phone calls and texts. I started swelling and having pain, and by the next morning it was getting much worse. Instead of being like most doctors and having me go through hours at an ER, and risking me being around others in an ER that could get me sick, he had me come to their office ASAP. He took care of what needed to be done in their procedure room, and was scheduling me for surgery to remove the expander and insert a spacer and antibiotics until my already scheduled other side mastectomy and bilateral DIEEP Flap surgery less than 14 days away. Fast forward a little over two weeks, while I was in the hospital for my second mastectomy & reconstructive surgery (it was an 11 hour surgery), I was not being cared for by the nursing staff once on a regular floor after being moved from ICU. Dr. Padilla left his office and came to the hospital to see what was going on and nip it in the butt. When I say "nip it in the butt", I mean it literally. He wasn't in there maybe 5 minutes, and had left to go back to his office to care for his other patients.... But not before obviously taking care of hospital business at the upper management and executive levels there. He wasn't gone that long before the Director of Nursing for the entire hospital, a NEW attending physician, and a NEW Charge Nurse were in my room getting things taken care of, and making sure that it was not going to happen again. He cares! He is an amazing surgeon! And to top it off, his entire staff from the receptionist, to the nurses, office coordinator/manager, and the fellow - they are all just as amazing and caring. I have to give a special shout out to Vanessa (his nurse), as she is so sweet, always there to listen, responding to texts and calls no matter the time or day. She is my all time favorite nurse, and I am old! So, that is a lot of nurses I've had in my lifetime! If this Google review lets me attach pictures, I will attach a picture of my "Sunday office visit", along with a "Thank you gift" and personal handwritten note from Dr. Padilla that he gave me at my follow up visit this week, because he felt bad for what happened at the hospital on Floor 6. He has no control over the hospital, nursing staff at the hospital, or what happened to me. But, it upset him and he felt it reflected on him as my surgeon through that hospital. It did not in my eyes, but this is how caring and personable he is.

Seems, with a business like this, they should be able to hire at LEAST "A" receptionist! Sorry, but these are the little things I find very important when it comes to deciding if a business should receive my time or money. Especially with the type of services that are being rendered. It shows stability and reliability if a company could AT LEAST answer calls! Moving on...

I'm just now in the recovery stage but excited to see my results as they are instant. Is just the swelling that is hurting now after procedure.
