I had brought my Dell laptop ($2,000+) to this repair shop because the Windows operating system on my computer was having some issues booting up, along with my DVD drive not working. They eventually called me back to tell me that my computer was ready to be picked up. When I got to the store, there were some new, large scratches on the front of my laptop lid, and on the inside near the trackpad. Also, the space bar sounded much louder when I would click it. Two months after my repair, the replacement DVD drive stopped working, and the entire motherboard had failed (meaning that the laptop no longer turned on). I'm very upset that they had caused cosmetic damage to my computer and had gave me a faulty part. I do not plan on ever coming back, nor do I recommend anyone come here. read more

I recently had my 7 year old laptop serviced by Cyber Tex. The results were good, but the customer experience - not so much. When I brought the laptop in, suspecting a virus, the young man behind the counter was very limited in what he had to say. Made me feel like I might have been wasting his time. Stone-faced, he repeatedly told me the rate per hour, and that their turnaround time was 2-3 days, not much else. As it turned out, the hard drive was going bad. Unfortunately it took Cyber Tex 1 week to let me know this. That was unacceptable. The price seemed a bit high - $193 to replace it, but I needed it back asap. Unfortunately (again), when I got it home, it did not recognize me as the administrator, and so back to the shop I went. They repaired it at no charge, but said the files were corrupted, and it was probably something I had downloaded. Duh, that's why I brought it there in the first place, so you would fix it, and then test it to make sure there were no more corrupted files. The final results were OK, but I won't be going there, or suggesting them in the future. They need to work on their customer service, and promised return times. read more

Cyber Tex has kept my Toshiba laptop running for the past 5 years. I finally decided to move over to a new Acer with Windows 7. Cyber Tex had some in stock, so I didn't have to use eBay, and the price was reasonable. They moved all of my Microsoft files, photos and mp3s over to the new laptop. There were a couple programs I had to install myself, but they told me ahead of time what to expect. They reinstalled my Microsoft programs without a hitch. I dislike Windows 8, so I hope to keep this laptop running as long as I can! read more

I would have chosen no stars if an option. I dropped off 3 computers to Dale, one laptop for repair, and 2 PC's, to see if he could get documents/pictures off of them. I decided not to repair the laptop because felt it was better just to buy a new one because of the cost of the repair. I went back to pick it up, and asked about the 2 PC's and he said he was behind and hasn't had time. 2 weeks later he says he still hasn't had time to get to them, so I said I would pick them up. He said he would have to find them........we are at about a month later and he still can't find them. He basically accused me of lying, and said there was only one computer listed on the paperwork. Why would I lie about dropping off computers, and I said if there was only one listed that was your error, and you didn't do the paperwork right. He just looked at me with a blank stare. I asked him who the owner is, and he said he doesn't know, so I asked about a phone number to his boss, and he said he doesn't have a number. Maybe he is the owner....whatever.......terrible customer service, very unorganized, and no accountability. Will NOT EVER go here again. read more

Do not waste your time. I spent close to $400 for three laptops that came back slower than before with even more viruses. Dale, the technician that supposedly "fixed" my computers, made me return several times to the store to repair the issues. Waste of time. Annoyed and frustrated, I finally asked to speak to Ken, the manager, who is never at the shop. He assured me he would mail me a refund check of $165.00, the labor fee for three computers. That was almost a month ago. Which reputable company lies to a customer? I am sure I will never see this check. Unfortunately for them, they lost a good customer. read more
