My senior citizen mother asked me to look at her laptop. Said that my adult son thought the battery was bad. I looked and saw a swollen laptop pushing the touchpad out. Called Refresh. Jonathan confirmed that it was likely the battery and they could replace it. I brought it in and Brian took one look at it and started working to remove the "spicy pillow". He disposed of it and we discussed options for the safety of a senior citizen who did not know to not overcharge her battery. Great service! There are lots of places you can take your computer to when you have an issue but, THIS is definitely the place you want to go to get it resolved. I have used them over the years, and they always target the issue and resolve it quickly. They are also very reasonable in the pricing. Just this week I took my computer in, which I dreaded, because it is the Christmas season, and I'd rather spend my money on presents instead of computer repairs. A young man, Noah, greeted me, and within about 10-15 minutes was able to not only figure out the problem, but resolve the issue. As if that wasn't awesome enough, he then really made my day when he told me there was no charge....how often does that ever happen!?! Walked in looking for a really simple $10 part and was treated like I was there buying a $1,000 system. The gentleman spent time answering my questions, then went through 2 inventory rooms spending probably 10 minutes, and found the exact item I needed, telling me to take it home and if it worked, to then come back and pay him. On 12/30/2023 I purchased a computer from Refresh Computers at 820 E State Road 434 in Longwood Fl. Then for the next almost 3 weeks it was Refresh Computers blaming the software people and the software people blaming the computer.  It was the software company that made the effort and logged into the computer installed the software and advised that the hard drive was defective.  Sure enough the computer crashed. Drove back to Refresh and they diagnosed that the hard drive was bad.  As I sat and waited a lady came in with the laptop she just purchased crashed.  Turned out to be the hard drive also.  After me hard drive was  cloned the person who was he\lping me must have forgot about it.  He waited on others that came in the store and when he wasn't waiting on anyone I thought he would notice that my hard drive waiting for him to install it. When he started walking away I had to leave the store and take a walk.  When I returned the computer was done. I took it home.  Then around the middle of May it crashed again.  I then decided I had made enough 80 mile round trips Refresh Computers.  I received a call and text message from Mr David Leavitt offering to send someone to pick up the computer and repair it and return it to me.  When I finished filing the sales tax returns I notified Mr Leavitt that they could come pick up the computer and try to repair it again.  His response this time was "We will be happy to pick it up  if you want us to. If you do not want us to that's OK, also.  We stand behind everything we sell.  If there is no need to pick it  up then we will not come pick it up.  Just let me know." I responded "There is a need, the computer crashed again.  Come pick it up if you want th try to repair again." His response " I want to be perfectly clear.  Do you want us to pick it up and repair it and bring it back to you? Or are you just going to use the new computer you purchased?  If you do not want us to bring it back to you please let me know that you do not want to bring it back to you Either way is OK with me.  Im just want to be perfectly clear. Also we will not be reselling that computer because we stopped selling that model a few months ago.  We will  just recycling it if you do not want it back. read more

I called and was able to resolve my problem with solution oriented instructions by them. Those instructions did the trick. They were very pleasant, listened well, and were solution oriented. My desktop was giving me issues shutting on and off randomly. For the better part of a month I was taking it to another tech service location and each time they failed to truly diagnose or fix the issue. Took our IMac desktop here after it was failing. After they explained why it was acting up they quoted us the best price we've gotten from a total of 3 other places. They told us to expect 3-5 days but it was ready in 2 days. Very nice and professional men. They do an excellent job at refurbishing the computers they sell, and also offer great support for future problems and complications you might have with your product. The staff is very knowledgeable and very helpful when it comes to selecting a new computer or component for your current system. I took my laptop to receive a new battery. Over the course of about a month I had to return to Refresh Computers 3 times because the technicians did not inspect their own work before returning the computer to me. Each time there was a "new" issue with the computer that would have been apparent had the technician so-much-as powered the computer up upon completion of their task. In the end they wanted to charge me an *additional* $125 for a new power port installation. I wrote Andre (the owner?) a very direct email detailing the many shortcomings I had experienced with his company's service. Ultimately I was not charged for the new power port. Neither was I offered an apology for the extreme inconvenience by *anyone*. Not Andre. Not the store manager. No one. I won't be back, nor will I recommend Refresh. The entire ordeal left a very bad taste. read more

VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER! We brought our older slow running Laptop here as it was highly recommended ...We thought it might be Time to purchase for a newer computer. Rather than try to sell us a new one, Charlie looked at the one we had and said the computer was still a good computer..We just needed a new hard drive. (And the sell refurbished computers ) They install the solid-state hard drive plus other updates , was done very quickly (supposed to be 3 to 5 business days) much quicker and then took the time to show us the new features and to get everything set back up when we came to pick it up. I have a Qsee DVR for my camera system and the fan started squealing which is a common condition in just about every type of communication device. I laid it on the counter and said, fan squealing, can you fix it. Got a wrinkle nose, hand to face-----" WHAT IS IT ? It's a Qsee camera DVR , noisy fan. OH we don't work on THOSE. What's wrong with you, that's a very simple job. OH my, I don't like the way you're talking to me, you are on camera and I can call the police. Ok honey, just forget it. walked out.
