I don't think I'm coordinated enough for a bike class and had a lot of trouble in a standing position because I have no idea how to adjust things once you're clipped-in. The staff here is fantastically friendly and helpful, but there's not much you can do in the dark once class begins. What a great experience! I've never taken a cycle class before and had no idea what to expect going in. I walked in with a friend and we were greeted immediately by the friendly staff and given shoes to wear. We were brought to the lockers and seen the super cute lockers personalized for us! This is such a small thing but it was so nice of them to take the time to welcome us by writing a little welcome message on each of our lockers. Okay so now about the class. The shoes click into the bike pedals and was helpful so your feet don't slip during class. The class was a bit intense for a beginner, but in a good way! It was definitely very motivating! The lights go down low, music goes up and the instructor is talking the entire class telling us what to do. They also have a screen that ranks everyone who is in the class, but it's not up the whole time. I also felt like it was a diverse group of people and not once did I feel uncomfortable or out of place. They have a ton of great promotions to take advantage of and email you frequently. They also text, which honestly I really prefer over calling when I want to speak with someone. I will definitely be going back soon!! read more

I usually go to the Cyclebar Yorktown located in Lombard IL. Since I moved to Forest Park. I'm closer to this location. Everyone is cheerful and friendly. I like the fact that they acknowledge your first ride with them. Your name is written on one of the lockers to welcome you. The classes are nice. At the end of the class you have an option to grab a nice cold wet towel with aromatherapy scent. Great location. Not overly crowded. read more

Where do I begin? There are so many great benefits to working out at Cyclebar. This is a great place to meet like-minded fitness oriented people. Everyone you meet is so kind. The staff is exceptional and they always make their students feel welcomed and supported. It doesn't matter what fitness level you are on, they always will modify the workout to their students ability levels. The workout class itself is high energy, great playlists, and typically challenging. After you finish a workout you feel like you can take on your day. Some classes are even motivational. The facility itself is very clean, and provides a nice place to shower. The locker room is bright and clean. Everything about this facility is super clean which I love. I tried CycleBar on a whim, and am so glad that tried it out! I do love spin classes, but what I really love is the stats you get after class. I enjoy seeing my difference between my first class and last taken class. The bikes are as comfortable as spin bikes get, and they do provide you with spin shoes (for free!) This is a first for me & I think it's a great idea. Each instructor is helpful and incredibly friendly- not intimidating like some other studios. I ended up buying the unlimited pass, and will continue to do so because this is a great workout. read more

i've been to a Cyclebar in California so tried this one out while visiting fam in oak park. they were so friendly and helpfu; setting me up with a new account - and best of all, they had a promo for one week unlimited classes! I really like these classes! I used to be a fan of SoulCycle, but CycleBar is just as good if not better - free fruit, free water bottles, free shoe rentals, way cheaper classes, and always new deals. I bought 10 rides for $99, and they're doing a 10-10-10 special now so if I ride 10 times, I could get 10 classes free. I don't think they always have these deals, but even every once in a while is great! The place is really clean, and they even have showers so you can get your workout in an be on your way. I also love the location. There is a Panera right by here so you can grab coffee or breakfast with a friend after, and there is a Whole Foods too. read more

While the facility is nice and Ryan was one of the best instructors. I am finding it very difficult to actually speak to someone who can refund my money. I ATTEMPTED to cancel my membership at the end of June. The receptionist I worked with, had my sign and said everything was good. I was still being charged for July because I didn't cancel 30 days in advance. Okay, that's fine. That should have been the last payment. No! I was charged for August too. I have not utilized the services since I THOUGHT I canceled in June. I even emailed them on August 3rd explaining what happened. The automatic messages says someone will get back to my within 24 hours. I then went to the location on August 5th, and the manager stated, I'll take care of your canceland will get you your refund. It's August 12th. Still no refund and no email back from owner or anyone. I went back to the location last week, and was told someone would call me. No one has. I can't find a cooperate number. This is unfair and disheartening. read more

I tried Cyclebar through ClassPass, and immediately got hooked. I did the 9:30am Saturday glow ride with Julie Anne, and it was amazing. 2 days later, I came back and did the 6:45pm Monday ride with Gaelyn, which was also awesome. I ended up buying a 1 month unlimited pass for $99. I used to go to spinning classes at my old gym, but they were only offered once per week at a time that worked for me. At Cyclebar, there's 5 classes per week that fit in my schedule. The rides are challenging, the music is awesome, and I always get an endorphin rush from the workout. No, it isn't cheap, but for me, it's worth the investment to find a workout that I actually enjoy and look forward to, as well as works with my schedule. I dumped my cheap, crappy gym and will be coming to Cyclebar regularly from now on. read more

I'm so glad there's a nice, affordable spinning studio in my neighborhood! As a spin addict, I always have a great time at classes here. I'm a fan of Ashley's Sunday 9am classes. She is a great instructor, and I enjoy the variety of music and moves she uses. They have Schwinn bikes here which are really sturdy and smooth, so I always feel safe when doing some of the high-intensity moves. The studio is clean and the staff is friendly. A couple times I've asked to switch bikes because I was uncomfortable being right up front, and they were understanding and accommodating. Lastly, this place is a bit more affordable than other spin studios, so I can afford to come several times a month. Definitely recommended if you're looking for a great place to work out in OPRF. read more

Long story short ,i this review is not for the team at this location ,all the workouts were great everything amazing ,this review is for their stupid cancellation rules ,the most uncomfortable thing is that you can cancel your membership in person ONLY ,the most inconvenient way for ost people who do not have much time in general ,i called and emailed them several time explaining my situation the answer was or you come in person or you can mail us a letter, 1 I was out of county and then I had a surgery so for over 3 month I was being charged for nothing , once I came in today I was told that you need to give 30 days notice for not being charged ,so let's say today is Nov 13th and I will be still charged for the month (80$) for nothing , if I would of come on October 30th to cancel I would of save my 80$ ugh !!! Ok a this point I was whatever let me just cancel cuz I can't do this anymore , The thing that pissed me mostly today is that while I was in downtown I thought on stopping by on any location that is closer to me so it would be easier than driving all the way down to this location when I called the girl said that I can also cancel by email which was very weird for me to hear since I have been trying for months to cancel my membership when I told her that I am coming from another location she said that unfortunately I need to cancel only at the location where I got the membership from so I guess every location makes their own rules and this location here just waisted my money read more

This place is so welcoming. I love to come here because they make me feel at home each time. Jackie the owner is super helpful and gracious. The workout is fun and cool in the dark with lights . It makes working out less mundane for sure! They also have fruit and hot or cold water and often food and drinks as well. Do not go here and don't even think on sign up for their membership because trying to cancel it's like jumping through hoops and loops. I canceled my membership back on late July, (they do have a 30 day cancellation policy) and was told that Aug. was going to be the last month I'll be charged. It was a lie I was charged for September, I called just to be told that they didn't know why I was being charged if their system showed that it was canceled to send an email to management so they could take care of it, I did with no response. October came and I got charged again called them and was told the same thing that it shows that it was canceled to email management, still no reply from them. I finally got a response on 10/3, just to be told that I'm not getting a refund because the paperwork they received shows that the membership was canceled on 9/1, despite of me having a text from them saying that my membership was canceled on 7/31 and their staff telling me since 8/31 that to them on their system it shows that it was as canceled. If you do decide to sign up for their membership beware that they'll be stealing money from you even after you cancel. read more

I've been to 2 other CycleBar locations, and this one has the best instructors, but the locker space is incredibly cramped (I understand there probably isn't much that could've been done about that). Love how they wrote my name on the locker (no other location has done that, and it made me smile), and how they put the water bottle inside (no other location has done that for me either). The location in Yorktown Mall has sparkling water on tap which is nice for after class (this location has opted to stick with the sensible cold or room temp water). Something I've seen at other locations is a music themed class.......Daft Punk v.s. Gorillaz, Deep House Beats, and early 2000s Hip Hop. It's probably instructors choice or they cater to the area demographic (I've seen Wine Down Wednesday). Anyways, to sum this up: great location/instructors/personal touches, and I wish there was specialized music variety nights and space in the locker area. read more
