After many years of abuse in my many years of business travel, my iPad's screen cracked and required replacing. A trip to the Apple Store found me considering a $299 replacement fee for my non warrantied iPad. After emailing the other iPad repair services I found on Yelp!, none replied to my inquiries. I was looking for same day turn around time and lucked into finding CydiaFix online. I had dropped my iPhone 4s and cracked my front screen. I found this store from a local online ad on kijiji. Figured it wouldn't hurt to try. I walked in at 11:15 am,15 min after they opened on a Wednesday and already 2 people ahead of me. They must be doing something right if there's so many people getting their phones fixed here. The gentlemen was friendly, told me it would be $60 to fix my screen and I would get it back today. Couldn't ask for much more than that. Came back to pick up my phone and again there's people coming in and out to drop off their broken phones and pick up their repaired ones. This store is obviously doing something right. He didn't get to my phone yet, so it wasn't ready because he had been so busy. He said give him 15 minutes and he'll fix it right away. Anyways, I just picked up my phone and am using it now. He did a fantastic job! Saves me from having to have to buy another phone. He apologized a few times for the delay and really it wasn't a big deal to me. Great customer service, knows his stuff. Found this place on Yelp, after shattering my phone and I have to say that the service was every bit as good as the reviews. I messages the store via the Yelp app and reviewed a response within minutes. They were able to replace the shattered front ($60) and back ($20) of my phone as well as instal a new battery ($40) in under an hour. While paying I noticed their accessories and grabbed a new Apple brand charging cable ($10) and a tempered glass screen cover ($20). In short, the service, price, and quality was outstanding. I would definitely go back here (though, I hope that I won't have to). read more

Daniel seemed very professional and showed me exactly what was wrong with my phone. I have used Cydia Fix several times including when he was working from his apartment. He is always very fast and relatively cheap. For metallic glass and a new speaker came to less than half of what Apple would have charged me to replace my phone. The glass is what it is...its glass. It breaks. Every single iphone I have ever owned, has broken. And I continue to have the glass replaced. In all honesty, Daniel is an honest guy that takes his work seriously. Even though it's a known manufacturing defect of the iPhone 5 camera lens seal, dust getting trapped under the glass isn't covered outside the 1 year warranty (unless you ponied up for AppleCare+ and even that's a $49 incident charge) so the Apple Store can't/won't clean or fix it. Instead, they only suggest a full device replacement of $269. CydiaFix was able to promptly get the gunk out from underneath cheaply and quickly. They're the only local repair place open on the weekend (Saturday) from what I could find. Don't know how well he does for screen replacement or other repairs, but I'll be certain to come back if I have to. Well...I'll probably just buy another iPhone entirely as an excuse to upgrade like I usually do but I may do something sane. Friendly and professional, thumbs up! read more

My husbands phone dropped and it hit the housing corner, totally denting it in and shattered the screen. Apple wanted $160.00 for the screen replacement. Once I mentioned the housing was dented inwards, they said they wouldn't do it and that we would have to pay $300.00 for a new phone (which we can't afford). So I researched other places that I could get it looked at. And boy, am I glad I came across CydiaFix. I called ahead to see if we needed a appointment but he said just to come in. While we were waiting, I noticed that he speaks to his customers like they're friends. You could tell that they're regulars. Which really impressed me. Anyway, He had no problem fixing the dent (for free I might add) and the screen was only $80.00. We saved $220.00 going to him instead of apple. The phone looks absolutely amazing! can't even tell that there was anything wrong with it and...it only took 15 minutes. They fixed my screen and took unknowingly replaced my battery with a crappy one. 2 months later I got my battery replaced at Apple and they told me that all my phone parts were "from China" and not genuine Apple parts. Yelp doesn't seem to allow you to give a rating of zero stars, which is really what I would give CydiaFix. I took my phone in to have a repair, and paid $180 for the work to be done. Just a couple hours after the work was done, I started to have the issues with the new hardware, and went back into the store. He told me to do a hard reboot on my phone, which was done, and the problem when away briefly, only to return a couple hours later and be an intermittent problem for the next couple days, before my phone had the same issue it did that caused me to take it in to begin with. He was hostile and called me a liar, saying it was my fault that the phone wasn't working again, yelling, rude, and then ultimately just turned his back on me and ignored me as a way to end the conversation. I guess a 90 day warranty doesn't count for much when the guy who should be honoring it isn't an honest guy. Basically, I'm out a bunch of money, and still need to buy a new phone, and had the pleasure of being yelled at and degraded on top of it. read more

This place uses subpar parts to repair phones. We had a screen fixed on an iPhone 5 and a few days later, there was a hairline crack in the screen. This hairline crack turn into spiderweb crack. When we called CydiaFix about the situation, they laughed at us over the phone and pretty much told us to F off. I would stay away from this dump and use another repair shop. read more

My sister recommended this place because she had her iPad screen replaced here. They charged $100 and did a very good repairing my screen as well. The only downside was that it smelled like garbage in the store and they forgot to call me when the repair was finished. The camera on my iPhone 5 had flecks of dust and other problems with it. All of my photos had these annoying spots on them. I brought in the phone before we went for dinner at Noodle Feast right next door, and they had the camera replaced within 30 minutes for only $50. I dropped my iPad 10.5 pro and shattered the screen , repairs cost ranged from 280.00 to 500.00 everywhere else with most places needing to order the screen . CydiaFix did it for 220. 00 and was ready in four hours . Some places I called would not service this model and after some research I think I know why as it's very easy to damage the Touch ID feature and the button is only available from Apple with the glass digitizer assembly for 500.00 . Had my daughters Iphone 5 S fixed in terms of Cracked screen. Paid what they asked for. The next day the screen cracks in exactly the same spot as before. She tried to contact them and requested if the screen could be replaced again free of charge as she was sure she had been handling the phone carefully and inspite of that it broke again in the same spot. She was told that they had no idea why she broke it in the same spot and the warranty doesn't cover the damage which is bullshit. I wish I had read ALL THE REVIEWS before going to that place. I broke my Samsung S3 LCD screen after trying a DIY repair for the glass cover. Take a word of advice, and bring the phone to a good shop like this one. A lot of phone repair places are a bit dodgy, but CydiaFix is not one of them. The proprietors were both friendly and professional. They were super busy the day I brought it in, and were unable to complete the repair by close time - but because they had promised it to me, the proprietors dropped it off to my place later that night! I Have been a long time customer for over 6 years. Got many phone screens, iPad screens replaced over the years and recommended to friends and family. I'm not sure if they're under new ownership or just new staff but my last TWO visits were total disappointment and a waste of my time. Yesterday went in got my Microphone replaced paid $60, pulled out of parking lot make a call and they did not fix the problem. Went back and let them know that there is an issue they told me there was a misunderstanding and they fixed the wrong Issue then let me know that it would be a 30 minute wait for them to take out the parts and it would be an extra hundred dollars for them to actually fix what needed to be done. After being a little bit annoyed they offered me to fix the phone for $80 at a discounted price for all the trouble With them fixing the wrong Issue and causing me to go back and forth 4 times. PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE! advertised on Kijiji that they sell authentic Samsung parts and that is an absolute lie and you will void your warranty for any issues that may come up in the future. I got my S8 screen replaced and I called and asked if they are original Samsung parts and when my Dad dropped off the phone for me he asked as well to double check. The only thing wrong with my phone was the screen and when it came back to me, my calls started acting funny immediately on the first call. First the ear speaker made people sound quiet and distorted and I reported the issue to them right away and they said they would replace the speaker in two weeks when the part came in. The next day my phone quit working all together. Sometimes people can hear me and I can't hear them and vice versa. It won't work on speaker phone or when I plug in headphones. I went to the store and they said it's most likely the motherboard and although they have to remove the motherboard to fix the phone they refuse to admit they broke my phone and insist it was broken when I broke my phone even though I was making calls perfectly with it for a while after it broke. When they refused to do anything I asked for my old screen back and they wouldn't give it to me or refund my $400. They told me Samsung would know that the screen was replaced and wouldn't own up to the fact it's not a Samsung screen so now they have voided my warranty. When I said this he said it was not his problem and to get out if his store. Yes I raised my voice after he got rude but who wouldn't when they just ruined my $800 phone permanently plus paying $400 to have it ruined. When I refused to leave the store they called the police. When the policeman arrived I approached him calmly and he asked to step outside to discuss. He told me they have had a few incidents at this store and assisted me in getting the information to file a civil claim. He said I should review everywhere so other people can know about them and that although he can't do anything since its a civil matter in his opinion they owed me money and a new phone. Don't listen to the good reviews since they are easy to put in fake reviews. Go to the better business bureau and check out the real issues. I called Samsung and they confirmed they are not real Samsung parts and they do not have access to real parts and they are investigating them. Now I am filing a small claims court to get my money back and the money for a new phone. Samsung will send your phone away and give you a replacement phone and its the exact same price as these guys and you keep your warranty and you get a real Samsung screen. Don't be lazy like me and please don't trust these scammers with your phone! read more

My mint condition and young (less than 2 years old) iPhone 6s died when I was on vacation. It was sitting charging on my nightstand and suddenly went black, refusing to turn back on or be recognized by my computer. I went to the Apple store and after a lengthy wait I was told that my logic board had failed that no repair was possible. Not being a believer in Apple Care I was told my only option was to buy a whole new phone (yuck), so I went to CydiaFix to see if there was anything to be done. Just had my screen replaced here this morning. Screen looks awesome and I was very happy after I left. I have an iPhone 6plus and it cost me $160 + GST. One of the cheaper places I found. As I said, I was happy immediately after I left, however about an hour later while I was at home my phone just shut itself off and after I restarted it, it said I had no SIM card? I've never seen that pop up on my phone before. Ever. So I restarted it again. It turned back on and seemed fine for about 5 minutes before telling me I had "No Service" so AGAIN I restarted it and AGAIN it told me I had no SIM card. I had zero issues with my phone before I had the screen replaced so I took it back to CydiaFix and the guy offered me little to no help. Took the screen off again, threw some fancy words at me to explain what the problem "probably was" and told me it was nothing he did. I find that funny since I never had these glitches beforehand. My phone was perfectly fine aside from a cracked screen. Now I have no idea what to do. I do NOT recommend this place. read more

Although Daniel was really busy when I stopped by (there was a lady waiting for him to fix her phone while he was eating lunch and on the phone at the same time), he still took the time to listen to me spout off the problems I had with my ipod and give me some hope that maybe he could work his magic! Even though he was obviously crazy busy, by the next day I received a phone call with the diagnosis... my ipod was terminal :-( turns out it was motherboard issues, rendering it unfixable. He didn't charge me for the time he put into the diagnosis, and was more than happy to recycle it for me at his facility (and use it for parts, I hope!). FANTASTIC and EXTREMELY HELPFUL! I was having problems with my phone...it completely froze and wouldn't even turn on. I called a couple places and most said to bring it in and they would replace the battery. When I called CydiaFix, the lady recommended me to come in as she couldn't diagnose it. So I did. BE AWARE !!! I give my Samsung S4 for repair ( SIM card reader was not working) in this shop. Cost $ 80, so far so good. Picked up the phone was working for one day perfect, then 2 days later had some issues with the reception and error message " no sim card". After rebooting this issue was gone but the motherboard getting really hot and if i want to call some body the speaker & microphone was not working. On the 3 rd day the speaker & microphone was not working for in any situation. So, i bring the phone back and today this guys tell me they did everything right and fixed the card reader and any other problem have nothing to do with them and even the cannot fix anything else . That's now my problem that's i have non working phone. Fact is: -they repair the card reader with anew connection on the motherboard. -the motherboard get not hot before the repair. -the audio controller are on the motherboard and it was working fine before. -this guys say the have nothing to do with any other problem but they was on the motherboard what is now more broken as before. -i not even ask for a refund just that's they fix this, but they say they have no possibility to fix it and let me stand there with the useless phone!!!
