Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon because my iPhone screen was cracked and getting worse. The place isn't far from Gateway and 34, but is a little hidden in the upper level of a small shopping plaza type row of stores. You go in the front door and straight up a rather steep flight of stairs, where you'll find a couple of counters and phone accessory displays. One lone guy was working that Sunday but he was happy to help. I have an iPhone 6S which is a few years old now, but they nonetheless had different colours of replacement screen in stock, and he quoted me a great price to do the replacement. Unfortunately he'd injured his wrist recently so said he'd take a little longer than normal, but I left the phone with him for an hour and went to do some shopping over on Gateway and it was all done by the time I came back. Super helpful and friendly service, good prices, and they seem to keep a good stock selection of spare screens too. He even threw in a tempered glass protector for free. Would certainly recommend this place to anyone needing replacement phone glass, and although I hope I won't need another replacement any time soon, I'll certainly go back if I do need a new screen again. I have had a diagonal crack down my screen for 6 months. I have recently noticed that the corners have started chipping so rather than compromise my touch screen capability, I decided to just get the screen replaced. Its not cheap and I did shop around. I found prices ranging from $109-199. I have an iPhone 6+. I opted for Just in Case, since it was on my way to my parents and it is easy to access, just off 91st. I was treated to excellent customer service and a quality job. the screen looks just like new and works perfectly. I paid $119 which is on the lower end of the range...a deal if you ask me. There is a designated parking spot right out front, though you have to look closely at the sign. Compliment them on their flashy neon sign inside the store, they are proud of it. Apparently they just opened up another location on Whyte Ave which is perfect for me, since I live in the Garneau area. I will be heading to that one if/when I ever need any screen replacement help. Hopefully not. Actually, Wossen threw on a tempered glass protector for me, so I am pretty sure I am safe for a while. read more

Update: Went back to get my phone sorted (proximity sensor wasn't working). He knew right away what the problem was and dealt with it on the spot, now it works properly - friendly, fast and fixed - yay! I had my iPhone 6 glass screen replaced. They were fast and efficient so they get stars for that, but I've been having problems with the sensitivity of the glass on my phone ever since. When I'm talking, if my cheek just lightly touches the screen it goes into speaker mode or presses numbers. I also find I can't zoom into photos properly anymore and if I have to click onto anything near the edge of the screen it doesn't recognize it. It's obviously not a direct replacement from the apple glass to new apple glass. Kind of a bummer. read more

Once he looked at it, he referred me to someone at O Fix to complete a diagnostic on the phone. Woosan and Andy are awesome!! After struggling with my Samsung 7 freezing, I googled and thought I would call Just In Case. Woosan is who I dealt with at first. He was as frustrated with Telus as I was. Note: I bought a Samsung 20 from Telus and found out later that my Samsung 7 was a refurbished phone sold to me about 4 years ago. The long story is the best. Woosan asked me to trust him with keeping my broken phone so he could try fixing it with an incoming S7 battery. That I did, I felt confident and vulnerable too. I received a call from Andy, his partner, the same day. The battery booted up the phone but did not allow them to access data. He referred me to Andy at OFix Original Cellphone Fix kiosk inside the T&T market in the northend. This Andy has a small kiosk and he is talented. The other Andy said, if this Andy cannot fix your phone, no one can. Andy from OFix soldered something in my motherboard! Imagine that. Thankfully I found Just In Case here on Yelp. I called and Andy guaranteed 1 day service at 100$. He sounded very confident. I had dropped my iPad and damaged the corner of the casing and cracked the screen. Dropped it off with Andy at Just in Case and a day later the screen is good as new! He was able to fix the casing enough to replace the glass. The repair cost $90 (for a 3rd gen iPad) which was $30 cheaper than some of the other places I had called. The only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is that I wish Andy would give customers a ticket or something showing that they had dropped off their item. When you go into a business and leave an expensive item with no proof, it can make you uneasy. However, after my experience there I would definitely go back, but hope that I don't have too! read more

Do not go here. My phone screen was cracked and I took it here for repair. I chose this place because even though they were twice as expensive as everyone else ($273) they offered a 30 day warranty. When I got the phone back the color balance on the screen wasn't right but they insisted it was fine, and were actually a bit rude about telling me that it was my phone, not their screen. I double checked about their warranty policy and figured if it didn't work I could bring it back. 9 days later, the screen cracked again. I did not drop it, it was not in my purse or in my pocket, I put it down on the counter to go do something and when I went to pick it back up it was cracked. When I brought the phone back to get them to honor their warranty, the guy at the desk was on the defensive almost immediately, and accused me of threatening him before I'd even had a chance to get angry. He told me it was my own fault and not their problem because glass doesn't just break by itself. Clearly angry customers is something they deal with regularly since everything he said seemed quite well rehearsed and his interest was simply getting me out of the store. I pointed out that the glass where the screen was cracked was uneven and it looked like the glass was installed over a bump that created a pressure point which cracked the glass, and I was told that was impossible. They offered to replace the screen again for $160, but I was not about to give them more money so they could do the same thing again. I took my phone to another tech and they confirmed that the screen was improperly installed and it was indeed a pressure point under the screen that caused the crack to happen. I will be pursuing further action against this company, but please save yourself the hassle of giving your money to these con artists. On a side note, every time I've gone in there, they regularly had social visitors, not customers, and I'm inclined to believe those friends are where a lot the positive Yelp reviews came from that convinced me to try this place. read more

I had a samsung s6 that had a broken lcd. I looked to Just In Case because it had good reviews and was the cheapest. A few weeks later, I notice my screen is lifting off the side of the phone, like i could literally lift it off and see within, which is completely not acceptable. I leave it because I didn't have time to be bothered by it. However a week after, my screen broke despite not touching it at all. It was fine when i put it down, and then I came back to check the time and realized the inside lcd was cracked showing purple streaks. I brought it to their attention and they blamed it on me and wouldn't replace it despite being in their warranty time. They claim the screen was OEM and perfectly good yet when compared to an original S6 screen, it was noticeably darker. They then had the audacity to try to charge me another 250 to replace the screen (he claims to buy the screens at $285, and is thus doing me a service. So you're telling me they're working on a margin of $15? Lied straight to my face.) I'm not going to pay another large sum only to have it break again. Just look on kijiji and you can find a used samsung for basically the same price they charge you, except this one won't break. Absolutely ridiculous. read more
