The gal working told us we were still ok to get our 2 pours, pics & join the other patrons in their great outdoor space, which really was large and lovely. Or sit inside, if we preferred. We opted to sit outside, with 3 other occupied tables and let her wrap up for the evening, hopefully, without us being a bother so close to close! She was very, very kind & gave us her recommendations based on what was selling well that day. Keep in mind, that's what I'll be basing this on, as it's what we tried. I had the Buckin Berry Sour which was noted as a refreshing relief on a hot day like it was (91°) - something in the flavor reminded me of the tablets or powder you add to water for hydration. It left an artificial or chemical aftertaste for me, a 3 The hubs had the Alpine Glow at a 3.5, it was refreshing with a nice citrus note - funny thing is that neither of us our big hefeweizen drinkers, so, that was a panic pick & it could be a 5 star here. We noted that there were some real power players listed and feel we may not be giving a fair shake, as we heard great things about this brewery all the way to Montana. I was excited to get it as it's something that is a novelty finding less common beers at breweries. The name of this particular beer was Midnight to Kentucky. Flavors to experience with this beer are Rye and maltiness . It's rich, thick and bubbly in appearance and body. Glad I got this beer and it was fun delving into a beer type of more of a historical nature.

Despite that I got waited on pretty efficiently. The beer that Steve and I had from Oil City was the Mexicali Lima which was a Mexican Lager which we enjoyed quite a bit. Flavor features that you can find with this beer are lime and breadiness. The lager is very light bodied which is nice to experience for sure. I also liked their t shirt swag so purchased one of those as well. Would like to try out more of their beers but perhaps when there isn't something going on there and it's more laid back and chill.

As I have said before I am quite impressed with how many breweries... good ones that have opened up in this city. A number of years ago there wasn't anything all that terribly exciting as far as breweries go here but that has really turned itself around. For this brewery I had their cerveza beer and it was pretty good. Crisp, clean and a nice little kick to it made a very pleasant version of this beer type here. They don't have beer in the cans or crowlers or at least not from what the staff member told me but I didn't see any of that anyway. A good visit with fine beer and worthy of making a return to.

The themes and atmosphere here kind of remind me of a subtle blending of a circus mixed with Steampunk which I can really appreciate as it adds to the uniqueness to the place! I got one cocktail here. It was called the Feats of Strength which had Strongman Gin, pineapple juice, Lime Juice and Simple Syrup. It was very refreshing and highly enjoyable! It's got that real tart cherry bite like a sour should, but it's still smooth and easy to drink. Not syrupy sweet, not "punch-you-in-the-mouth" sour... just right. I could sit there and drink those all night, which is probably why it's a good thing I don't live next door. The crew there makes it even better. Margo, the bartender, is awesome--friendly, quick, and actually knows what she's pouring. Kat, the manager, keeps everything running smooth without it feeling all uptight. And shoutout to Ben and Darrin, the owners, because they built a place that feels welcoming and local, not like some fancy "look but don't touch" brewery. If you like sours, go grab a Garden Kriek. This was the most personalable stop, where we learned a ton in a short period of time & were made to feel welcomed by both the owner & the patrons. The building, a house really is an absolute treasure! Of course, none of this matters if the beer sucks. It doesn't! The oatmeal stout was delicious and delightfully dry ' the best oatmeal stout of out trip & we had several. I am actually craving it now while typing about it, despite having 7 choices of stouts in the beer fridge. The dill pickle sour was nice & brine-y... both were incredibly solid selections. I ordered something that was supposed to have flavor and instead received a glass of disappointment with a foam garnish. The atmosphere was somehow louder than the beer was flavorful. I've had better meals at gas stations, and at least the gas station doesn't charge me $14 to discover that apparently salt is considered a seasoning. The service was the highlight, mostly because eventually it ended. I have absolutely no idea how this place has survived, but I respect the commitment to whatever this experiment is supposed to be. 0/5.
