The pressure throughout the session was extremely light. I only told Jamie once that I could barely feel anything and asked for more pressure on my feet/soles, but there was still very little actual pressure or effective work done after that. I also wish there had been some kind of check-in about pressure during the session, but that never happened. I honestly don't like having to keep asking during massages because in past experiences it can either feel like the therapist overcorrects or the service quality drops, so I usually rely on them to check in -- but that didn't happen here. Even after I asked that one time, the focus on my feet/soles still felt minimal and ineffective. My neck, shoulders, arms, and feet were also barely addressed overall during the 2 hours. At one point, I even said I couldn't feel anything while she was working on my head, which felt more like light tapping than an actual massage. There was also a moment where she asked about doing a belly massage since there was extra time, but I declined and asked to go back to my feet/sole focus. Even then, there was still no real change in pressure or technique. At another point, a wet towel was left on my back for an extended time, which made my skin uncomfortable and itchy while very little actual massage work was being done. Honestly, Leah's recommendation did not match this experience for me. Even with Keely, while her style can feel inconsistent, I still felt more actual benefit overall compared to this session. I left feeling more tense, irritated, and with a worse headache than when I arrived, especially after paying for a full 2-hour therapeutic massage. I understand every therapist has a different style, but Jamie's approach did not feel effective or therapeutic for me.
