She agreed to shoot on pretty short notice, and was extremely communicative and helpful in explaining the process.

I met him for the first time during the shoot and it felt like I've known him for years. If you need any photography work that is top notch, look no further than Thomas Robert Clarke Photography.

So, in Episode 1 of TRC Photography, we discussed buying prints of Toms amazing work. In Episode 2…read morewe discuss the other aspect of his services, The Photo Shoot. It's tough to come up with a 40th birthday gift for an estranged spouse. These days, the only thing we have in common is our children, so it seemed fitting to include them somehow. In a rare moment of clarity, I found a way to get this done, give business to a worthy photographer ( ahem, and friend) at the same time. I posed the idea to Tom, to do a photo shoot of my kids as a present for my wife and his energy and enthusiasm made me immediately think I made the right choice. We discussed locations and concepts based on what I had seen of his work. Tom had some fantastic ideas and was very receptive to my own ideas. Tom feels that the comfort of the subjects is important, so we decided to do an outdoor shoot at the park in the neighborhood where they grew up. The day came and although Tom had nothing to do with the weather, I couldn't help but feel that with the most beautiful fall day I'd ever seen, Tom has an in with Mother Nature. The shoot went flawlessly. He worked great with usually difficult kids and I could tell they felt at ease. My kids are into cosplay, where they like to dress up as their favorite characters. They loved that Tom incorporated their costumes into the shoot and couldn't wait for the pictures. And what pictures they were. I've never seen my kids look so good. The shots were classy, true and fun. I am more than pleased with the results and they were a big hit with everyone who got one. Tom uses an easy method for getting you your pics. He sets up a web page where you can view all shots and order them however you wish ( mugs, cards, photos, digital, etc) . With one click, a picture will be in your hands within hours. The overall experience with Tom, was one that I can't say enough good things about. If you have the need for such services and you are in the greater Philadelphia and South Jersey area ( or even beyond- it's worth it) make sure you check Tom out. He even made me look good...and that's saying something.

Pictures capture important moments in your life. You can certainly find deals online, or clip…read morecoupons for your department store photo studio. You'll save a few bucks, but you'll greatly sacrifice quality. I used to do this by going to Picture People and JCP, but no longer. I would rather have my precious moments beautifully captured, because you can never recreate these moments. In fact, I now regret going to JCP and Picture People in the past, because the quality was not as good, and I can never redo newborn shots with my eldest kid. Like others, we used to go to Picture People. In a way it was good that they closed because it allowed us to find At Home Studios. Ken and Stephanie are absolutely wonderful. A few differences between Ken and your typical portrait studio: 1. At regular studios like JCP or Sears, random people are trained on how to use a camera. It's not their full time profession; it just provides a paycheck. Whereas with At Home Studios, Ken's passion is photography and that is all he has done for most of his life. The passion is evident in the fact that his pictures are far superior to anything you could get in a department store. 2. They treat you like family. At Picture People we had to wait 30-60 minutes, even with a scheduled appointment. And we had to wait another 30-60 minutes just to get our pictures on CD. Not to mention them rushing you through the photo shoot so they could take more customers. It was a dreadful experience, whereas we were welcomed into Ken and Stephanie's home like we were family, and didn't have to wait in a queue. 3. Ken is absolutely wonderful with kids, and very patient. He was patient with us as our newborn needed to feed and also change an outfit. Our toddler wasn't interested in looking at the camera, but Ken took care of that with his humor. Our toddler was still talking about him for days after we left. 4. At the typical portrait studio, they only give you about 8-10 shots, whereas Ken gives you much more (all of the good ones). I was always surprised that Picture People used to take so many pictures during the sessions, but only gave us limited number on CD. 5. If you are going to frame your pics, ask Ken to do it. He will touch it up and it will look much better than doing it yourself at CVS or Walgreens. Ken has more expertise on touching up pics than a traditional studio would. And request the frames that day, or you'll never get around to it. Ken and Stephanie aren't pushy and not after every penny like Picture People used to be; you'll have to ask if you want specific prints. Picture People never used to let you leave until you listened to their sales pitch, which was quite annoying when you've already been waiting around in the store for 2 hours. 6. By the end of the session, I felt as if we were with family. In a world where encountering rude people has unfortunately become normal, it was refreshing to meet some really nice people. 7. US Military dignity: Ken and Stephanie have a military family. Their children serve and have been stationed in various places. Being away from your family and pledging your life for your country requires honor and dignity. It is not just an individual sacrifice, but that of the entire military family. This is highly relevant, because such a high level of dignity means that you won't feel cheated. They will do their best to provide you with what you came for, and won't take shortcuts. Ken and Stephanie's art will be with us for the rest of our lives. It's so much more beautiful than anything else we have gotten from the department stores. We're so happy to have found them.

A dwarf star of excellence? A teacup elephant of professionalism? A SmartCar of happiness? Well, she is all those things and more. Lindsay was one of two photographers we hired to shoot our wedding. We had seen her work before, and were captivated by her detail work and wonderful compositions. Since we were doing a very small 'pop-up' style wedding, we knew we wanted someone who would not only be able to capture the short ceremony, but also the entire day surrounding it as we traveled from the hotel to meet our family, and all left together for the reception dinner. Her images could not have been any better. The sheer joy of the day, and our love for each other was perfectly translated from 3 to 2 dimensions. In fact, we loved her work so much that we approached her again a year later, as we prepared for the birth of our son. I'll let her images speak for themselves in this link to her blog post: http://lindsaydocherty.com/philadelphia-birth-and-newborn-photographer-lewis/ If that doesn't convince you - nothing will. And chirali and her team were exactly that. From the very first FaceTime convo to go over our needs, wants and photography style we knew Chirali would be able to give us the photos we wanted. On the day itself Chirali and Gil took so many photos of every moment and helped our camera shy family come alive. We were able to capture all the moments we want to look back on in both posed and candid moments. Our first look and bride/groom shoot went so smoothly! And now we are doing the best part - Chirali and Amish gave us all the uncut footage and photos to keep! And we were blown away - our favorite photos are those of our family with us - everyone smiling and happy. And of course those dramatic photos of just us two. Now we can't wait to see those photos come alive in our personalized album, the highlight reel of the ceremony and of course look forward to the reception photos we plan to have this year. Would definitely recommend working with Chirali and team for your wedding if you want beautiful photos and a wonderful experience.
