I was shocked that there was a chiropractor literally 2 blocks from where I live. I had had no idea at all that it was there. AND this chiropractor came highly recommended from someone that lives in my building! Cap Hill continues to reveal its unique neighborhood treasures well into year 2 of living here! I emergency made an appt here because I had had several shooting pain episodes at my part-time job and had no idea what was happening. I had gone to 2 Thai massages and they did help some things but the shooting pain thing down my leg returned. During my first appointment with Dr. Eisenhower, I felt like one of those wooden faceless dolls that people use to learn how to draw anatomy from. Dr. Eisenhower just pulled every limb and my spine and neck and literally uncrunched everything! He said I adjusted well. I had no idea how crunched everything had become! I had been working at this new job for only 4 months! I literally felt like a new person after my major first adjustment and found the ice pack on the roller machine afterward to be very pleasant. I could even put my hands palms to the floor bending forward which had not been possible for several months! I felt slight elation as well! I literally felt like I had just been woken up in LIFE. Prices are extremely reasonable and if you've been going to chiropractors throughout your life for 40+ years, then you've probably seen a RANGE of what goes on at a chiropractor. Dr. Eisenhower's place is very calming and his personality is friendly and calm. He does not seem to be aggressively selling a "chiropractic lifestyle". So that felt very positive. I love this chiro! I am super picky with where I go because I used to work for an office. They do it right here! Pricing is very fair for cash patients & the doctor really cares about you. That is really hard to find. I felt welcomed from the moment I walked in, LOVE the soft music playing in the back (Hozier ). They are all great conversationalists. I've been a customer here for some years now. The office is easy to access and well run. The front desk is efficient in scheduling, billing and always friendly. While I don't have a bad back per se, I run into the normal middle-aged issues where I need an adjustment to help sort out a spine or neck issue. I always feel so much better when leaving. I also brought my son who was a high school athlete at the time for adjustments and to get his knees taped up before games. They've taken great care of us over the years. This place used to have the best deals in the city for their massage club. It was what drew me to the place. Recently their prices have jumped still much that it's no longer a good deal. I finally ended my membership after several 'strikes'. One time they were able to book me for the next day. I came for my appointment and they had over booked the massage therapist and I was told I had to make another appointment and come back in a different day. I got screwed over from leaving work early to get in. Then another time I accidently wrote down the wrong time for my appointment. They called asking where I was and I told them I could come right away (I live 12 min away) and at least get a 30 minute massage in... But the massage therapist didn't want to wait for me and left to get lunch. So even though they were supposed to be there for the full hour and got my 60 minute payment they couldn't let me come in and at least get a 30 min massage even though I had the entire hour booked. I just sucked it up as my fault for writing down the wrong time and I need to be more prompt with my time but then Last time I went there my appointment was at 5pm. I was there by 4:50 and they had me wait until 5:20 to get me in. So they expect you to be on time but can't honor it themselves to start on time. 3 strikes. I had to end my membership. read more

A new insurance plan that covers chiropractic work is what originally led me to Cynergy. The front office girls are phenomenal and incredibly friendly. They are very proficient in the complicated workings of insurance billing, and I never had any issues with scheduling. Dr. Eisenhower is very personable and gentle. I usually have a lot of pain during neck adjustments, but he is very patient and will try other techniques to relax my muscles before attempting to adjust my neck. The ice roller beds are also a great touch. After only a handful of sessions, my symptoms were resolved! I can't wait to try Cynergy for massage next! read more

It happened on a Thursday night. I stood up to get something from the other room, and within 30 minutes, I could barely walk, my back was spasming so badly. I was an idiot and continued to let my back get worse for five days, long after I gave up hope that muscle relaxers and Vicodin would help. I went into work on Wednesday, at my wit's end, when a coworker said, just go see a chiropractor. I picked Cynergy based on the glowing reviews it received here and I was not disappointed. I hobbled in to the waiting room the very same day I called to make an appointment, filled out some paperwork and was seating in front of Dr. Milbauer within minutes. She is a great chiropractor. Very straight forward and to the point, but still a very calming presence. She worked tirelessly on my back for three days in a row and into the next week. Recommending deep tissue massage here and there in between adjustments. Lucky for me they have a massage therapist on staff. Not lucky for me, it is not a relaxing massage. Which, of course, is the point, and after two days of recovery after a massage from a woman with forearms the size of Popeye's, my back feels so much better. The best part is they work with my insurance, United Health Care, so every visit has been only $20, which has done a lot to keep my stress level down. I will continue to go to Cynergy for routine maintenance after the intense therapy to heal my back has been finished, because, not only do I never want to have my back go out again, I also really like the friendly, courteous staff and the great environment. read more

I've visited about a half dozen chiropractors over the past few years, and I have to say the team here at Cynergy Chiro is one of the best. Both Dr. Noel and Dr. Milbauer are fantastic and really know what they are doing. My pain usually stems from migraines to back problems I have experienced since I was young, and they both successfully help relieve my headaches and alleviate my pain. They also have massage therapy on site, which once my insurance kicks in will definitely be on my list. Paying out of pocket here isn't bad, the initial visit can be a little more than you would be used to but I pay $45 per visit and that is totally worth it for keeping my body healthy and happy. Another perk, their office manager Ashton is super nice and they can always squeeze me in last minute when I call day of. And lastly, their music is spot on as well. Latest equipment plus massage and acupuncture. Plenty of parking in back but it's close to my house so I can walk. Love the location. Dr. David Jones gave me THE best adjusment of my life. I am very flexible so sometimes, chiros can't even get me adjusted. No joke. He nailed it! Plus he has great energy, is very thoughtful and listens and I can't wait to go back. I had a small but annoying neck issue and he fixed it right up. Also addressed my TMJ. My insurance does make it affordable but they also have specials if you don't have insurance. For the past year I've lived with chronic nerve pain in my leg. Immediately after seeing Dr. Milbauer and starting spinal decompression, I had a decrease in pain. My first visit to Cynergy nets it 4 stars and they have yet to even begin treating me. I have chronic lower back pain, it sometimes gets so bad it immobilizes me. I was just about to that point last week when I visited Cynergy for the first time. Dr. Milbauer spent a long time sitting and talking with me about my pain, the causes and previous treatments, she ended up decided that she just could not begin treating me without seeing what we were up against and sent me off to get x-rays. The doctor also took the time to explain their methods of treatment and how they differ from other chiropractors. She gave me a pamphlet and an URL so I could learn more about their method. Every now and then an old back injury flares up and it's no fun indeed. Yesterday when I couldn't take it anymore, I called Cynergy. Luckily they had a last minute appointment open and I was able to book a massage. I'd never been there before and was pleasantly suprised. It's a professional, yet friendly place. I cannot say enough great things about Cynergy. I have gone there for chiropractic as well as massage in the past and always leave feeling pretty amazing. Working consecutive 12 hr shifts as an ER nurse over the years I have tried a LOT of places and this is definitely one of the best. Front of the "office" spoke with Claire...friendly, helpful and overall just made all the insurance inquiries pain free which is difficult these days. No surprises financially yay ! As for the massage therapy I hold all my stress in my neck, back, and shoulders and 30 years of nursing has taken its toll. I spoke with Claire about needing trigger point full pressure deep tissue massage, I think the day I called was the worst I have felt in years....she recommended Randy who she uses personally and he did not disappoint. Over time I have had a lot of massages, very few I can say were this amazing. Randy asked me problem areas etc. As with most therapists but the difference was he focused on my neck and back initially, spent only a little time on my lower half so " I can get back to your neck and shoulders" which were horrible before my massage to the point it was causing a tension headache. In the past I have repeatedly asked therapists to focus there and they almost always have some bogus formula with waaay too much time spent on areas that do not need attention....I am still feeling fantastic and well relaxed after Randy's perfect pressure and techniques!!! I stopped getting massages for a while because the relief was always so temporary for the $$ spent but I cannot wait for my next massage with Randy....worth EVERY penny. Julie is incredibly knowledgeable in Chinese medicine and has helped heal everything from digestive issues to a sprained wrist. She has also made extremely valuable recommendations that helped me overcome ailments I faced my whole life. The front desk staff is exceptional as well. Staff is friendly, service is just like any other chiro, ability to do due diligence for insurance is negative. I was informed I had 50 free chiro visits a year. Only after I went several times worth $400 did they let me know I did IN FACT not have free visits and owed $400. I was happy to take advantage of my insurance perks when they were free, but not when my billed totaled $400. Recently moved to Colorado from Philadelphia. I had been seeing a chiropractor in Philadelphia who I liked and did good work. I started once a week and eventually once every other month. However upon moving here I needed a new chiropractor. So I tried this place. I went here to alleviate my ongoing neck and shoulder pain. And came out feeling better then I went in. However 2 days after I was in more pain than I have ever been in and was completely unable to move my neck. I will never go back here and would never refer anyone else. They are extremely high priced and the "roller bed" or whatever it was they had me lie on was absolutely useless. Whilst I am definitely more of a city boy who is used to traditional treatments. This place was a little too far out for me. I have never had a worse experience at a chiropractor than this. They cracked my neck and back, slapped some icy hot on and had me lie on a stupid bed with no apparent or noticeable change other than 2 days later being crippled and having to find another chiropractor. read more

This place is great. My parents are chiros so my first adjustment was when I was something weird like an hour old. I think it's pretty awesome that Dr. Milbauer made me feel totally comfortable. She and my mom actually talked on the phone before my adjustment and additionally, she and I spoke for about 10 minutes about what I want out of chiropractic, etc.. After my adjustment (which was perfect) she put me on a rolling massage table (which was stellar). I would recommend this place to anyone- first timer or old regular. read more

I definitely do not recommend this place especially if you are pregnant and requesting a prenatal massage. I waited 2 weeks for my appointment and prior to booking making sure I was making an appointment with someone who had experience is specifically prenatal massages. Turns out when I got there, (and there was just a snow storm the day before so the roads were not the best nor was the traffic to travel across metro Denver) the massage therapist was completely unaware that I was pregnant and looking for a specific style of massage. You would think the email correspondence the 2 weeks before with my details would have atleast informed the therapist, but lack of communication was clearly key here and I left knowing this would have been a waste of my money and time. It wasn't the therapist's fault and I thank her for being honest that she wasn't experienced in this specifically, but whoever I was coordinating this with over several emails clearly didn't pass this information along or wasn't upfront or honest. She even admitted they didn't have a therapist who specialized in this. Even though they take insurance, don't waste your time or money. I have been getting massages at many places throughout Denver for 10+ years and this is the first time I had this poor of an experience. And to top it off, I slipped on the ice leaving their office (Cynergy, check your camera). This is the last thing I needed especially when you were looking forward to this service. Dr. Milbauer is very thorough and no-nonsense. She does a good job. Marchella is a fantastic masseuse if you want someone with super strong hands and a business mentality. She really gets knots out, and after seeing her regularly I was VERY much improved. Julie is a great acupuncturist, and her massages are also great, though I would say she's more calming and about energy balance. read more

After a long road trip, I developed pain in my glut and hip. Saw Dr Jones, who first wanted an Xray to make sure it was treatable - when reviewing he asked if I had been in a previous accident, as he could see damage in my neck (I had, about 25 yrs ago). His treatment was gentle and thorough involving adjustment and stretching machines. Relief was gradual, and permanent. I finished treatment about 5 months ago, and have been good since. Dr. Jones does good adjustments. However, the traction he recommended only put me in more pain, which became worse with each session until I could barely walk after the traction. The staff ignored my difficulties, and several times insisted that I get up on tables that were too high for me, even when I felt I could barely move. they offered no help with the difficulty, other patients offered to give up their lower tables to help me out. The way I was treated was insulting. The receptionist who does the paperwork, did not provide receipts for weeks, and then they were often incorrect with wrong addresses and amounts. read more

I live pretty far away from Cynergy, and there are plenty of places I could go that are a lot closer to home. That said, I love Cynergy and don't mind driving out of my way for the stellar treatments they provide. Everyone there is professional yet very friendly, there's a wide variety of massage therapists to cater to what works for you (some super strong and some very relaxing and some in between), Dr. Milbauer's chiropractic care is awesome, and Julie's acupuncture is miraculous. For the past few years I've received chiropractic care from Dr Milbauer and she is super! It's not the assembly-line style chiropractic you see in some other offices... Dr Milbauer asks you how you're doing every time you're in and caters to your specific needs, even the ones you forget to mention... last week I went in and didn't think to mention that I'd started school and had been studying a lot. Well, when the doc felt my back she said, "Now, Judy, what have you been doing???" She could feel that my back was different than usual because she's just that in tune! Amazing! As for Julie's acupuncture, I love going in to see her. She is very caring and makes you feel comfortable and has a wealth of knowledge in the Chinese Medicine tradition. Effective too! With her treatments my cramps are now way less painful and way less frequent, which is great because I used to have multiple days of debilitating pain that western doctors thought I should just throw some extra painkillers at. Same goes for my migraines too... way less frequent and way more manageable, probably from a combo of Julie's and Dr Milbauer's efforts! Anyhow, I love going to Cynergy, they're all great folks!
