Ordered flowers for St Valentines for my wife. At 5pm aprox on Valentine's Day, I get a call to say the drivers are saying the weather is too bad for them to deliver my wife's flowers. It was raining, no wind. Visibility was at least a mile and a half. Was told they could be delivered Monday,,,, February 15th.. For Valentines? Really? I asked for a refund bc I had to go buy flowers. One month later, and 5 calls, I finally was refunded, minus $10? Was this a restocking fee?? Taxes, on product not sold? You would think she would realize that when a recipient receives flowers in this day and age, they thank the sender by sending a picture of the gift. My sister sent an arrangement thru 1800 Flowers called Southern Living Special Day Arrangement for my 60th Birthday. The arrangement pictured was much fuller with more roses, daisies, and eucalyptus leaves in a white Pitcher with a Recipe for Sweet Tea. The arrangement that arrived is pictured below. My sister said "maybe they expected you would make tea in the Mason jar, lol!" Also if 1800 Flowers did not send a pic or description, they could have easily looked it up! Ordered valentines bouquet for my wife from "You Flowers"- paid $79 (would have been more without a supposed discount). What arrived looked like $35...tops. Picture showed lush arrangement with at least a dozen roses mixed with carnations - what arrived was a very sloppily put together arrangement with 4 sorry looking roses and 9 not so great looking carnations. The water was very cloudy with a layer of dirt on the bottom. The fabric ribbon was in no way appropriate for a valentines bouquet either. The flowers were arranged so poorly that my wife had to recut and rearrange the flowers - will not use "you flowers" or Cynthia's again - what an embarrassment. read more

Wish I could give them zero stars. Ordered flowers on Sunday for Monday delivery, knowing it might be an issue. When I called I was told the ord Der would be delivered and when I checked again around 5pm I was told they were "out for delivery" as of 11:30 today still not delivered and no phone call no follow up. On top of poor service they have the gall to add a $9.95 Covid Surcharge. Go someplace else. Their service sucks. I understand deliveries issues, but I don't understand or tolerate bad service. I do not recommend this florist. How interesting that Lori B. had the same experience as I did. I also ordered flowers online on Monday December 21st because of the great selection of Christmas arrangements. When I spoke with the recipient on the afternoon of December 24th - well before 5PM - I was advised they hadn't received a delivery. I immediately called Cynthia's and was met with a recording indicating closed until January 8th, 2021. After Christmas, I received an email - most likely autogenerated from lovely.com - dated 12/31/2020 indicating the flowers were delivered! SERIOUSLY??!! I contacted the recipient again - no they looked everywhere - NOTHING WAS DELIVERED. Today, January 2, 2021, I received an email inviting me to rate the delivery and were my recipients happy - suffice to say - I provided feedback and wish I could have done ZERO stars - but had to leave it at one star. Next I contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge. Likewise as Lori B. stated - nowhere on the website was it stated about an end of year closing until after the New Year. I would not recommend this florist, I placed an order on May 15, 2019 for flowers and balloon with same day delivery. Website guaranteed same day delivery if it was submitted before a certain time and the order was placed @ 9:40 which was why before the same day delivery deadline and the flowers were never delivered on the 15th. After waiting to see if the flowers would get delivered first thing the next morning, I reached out to the florist @ 9:49am and left a voicemail. I received a call @ 10:36am asking for my delivered # and that they would go back and have it made and sent out ASAP. I received a call @ 1:17pm informing me they were out of gerbera daisies, if I wanted to substitute with another flower or cancel. I or course requested to substitute, flowers were not delivered until 5:00pm on the 16th and the arrangement was no where what I paid and was missing the ballon completely. I called @ 5:30pm and left a voicemail regarding my dissatisfaction with the arrangement, no balloon and that I paid 15$ for same day delivery. Preordered flowers on Saturday, July 10 (2 days before requested delivery). Spoke in detail with representative who discussed flowers, assured me of delivery on requested day/time, took all payment information, and confirmed address and phone #s (both mine and recipient). Tonight, July 16, flowers have yet to be delivered, card has been charged, attempts since Tuesday to reach florist have gone straight to VM with mailbox full. Would not recommend. I ordered online using Proflowers. They gave the order to Cynthia's. What was delivered was not what I had paid for. It was considerably smaller and was missing items supposed to be included in the arrangement. Because I live far away I would never have known of the "mistake" except that one of my relatives texted me a picture. Cynthia told me that Proflowers hadn't given her a picture or a clear description of the arrangement. Proflowers said they give pictures and full descriptions to all of the florists they use. I ordered a $90 flower arrangement on Wednesday to be delivered (on Thursday) for a sick friend. I called late Thursday afternoon to make sure they were delivered. I was told they'd be delivered within 5 minutes. I received a call and said their truck broke down and wouldn't be able to deliver until Friday. So Friday I see a Facebook post (from my sick) friend asking who the flowers were from & that they were delivered the night before and the card was lost. Very poor service. My mother ordered a delivery for her mother (my grandmother) who lives in a retirement home. The arrangement was half the size advertised, and missing key components. They fixed it when she reached out to them, but when they dropped it off they were rude to the staff at the home. I would never recommend them to a friend, and we will not use them again. Edit: they have apologized. Ok. Now they continue to contact myself and my mother asking us to change our review. An apology doesn't change the fact that this experience happened. I ordered flowers for my aunt's 92nd birthday to be delivered to her nursing home and not only did Cynthia's Fine Flowers deliver to her, but they sent me a photo of her with her flowers! The flowers were lovely and just as I had ordered but what I most appreciated was the personal touch of the follow up photograph! I have NEVER known a florist to do that for a customer, ever, and I was so grateful to be able to see my aunt enjoy her surprise. Cynthia's has not even started on the arrangement when we arrived to pick it up at 9:05, had to wait for it to be made! As some of the other reviewers have had problems we had problems also. I ordered Anniversary flowers on 12/19/17 at noon for delivery on 12/20 the day of my sister's anniversary. I noticed it said they were still taking orders for 12/19 but decided no reason to push them. At 3:00pm on12/20 I called and they had not even looked at the order. I was told they would be delivered. They were delivered at 8:00pm.. which is not acceptable. The flowers order was for deluxe and romantic. And the pictures of the flower my sister sent me immediately after delivery looked horrible. I ordered flowers on-line specifying that they needed to be delivered on that day, Jan. 2, 2021. There was no indication on-line that this florist was closed. After I paid, the confirmation said they would be delivered on the 6th. I tried to call and found out that they were closed until Jan. 8th. I immediately responded to my e-mail confirmation to cancel this order and ordered flowers from a different florist who could make the delivery. I e-mailed another cancelation request on June 5th and received a response from Cynthia that she would 'take care of it'. To my total consternation I received an e-mail on the 6th that they were preparing my order and were going to deliver it. As soon as I read the e-mail I sent the 3rd request to STOP, not deliver the order and refund my money. They delivered the order anyway and refused to refund my money. My experience was Mother's Day 2018 - My son was traveling for business so he ordered them online. They were ordered on May 5 and Mother's Day wasn't until May 13th - that's a full 8 days- I didn't get them until late Monday afternoon on May 14th. They were tiny and dead. The water was brown and the stems were brown. It looked like someone had picked dead flowers out of the garbage can and tried to make an arrangement with them. I contacted them and they have agree to replace them but she said the problem was that my son should not have ordered them online. ( I was already having a very rough birthday) I got a call from the driver at 20 to 7 at night called them back with no response. My boyfriend ordered flowers through FTD which uses a local floral company. Beware- the flowers they delivered were through Cynthia's fine flowers and they were anything BUT fine. They delivered the flowers two days late and when they arrived, half of the arrangement was missing, no roses, 11 stems instead of 14, and 1/3 of the arrangement was dead. They did not even call to explain to anyone why they had not been delivered on time. Budget was a big deal for me and every time i picked a flower that was out of season she told me and showed me a flower that was similar and in season. We had Cynthia's do the flowers and decorations for our wedding on March 29th. The first issue we had was when changed the number of guest from 60 to 50 people and was then expected to pay an additional 200 dollars because they had the order wrong from the beginning. We had already paid close to $2600. We had to redo some of the flowers just to get back to the original quoted price. On the day of the wedding we arrived to find what appeared to be weeds in the centerpieces not to mention that fact that they got the colors wrong on some of the arrangements. So for $2600 we ended up with a bunch of mix-matched flower arrangements being choked out with weeds. When we spoke to Lisa after the wedding to voice our concern and were told that she could maybe get a store credit, as if I would ever use them for anything again. Cynthia did our wedding flowers. I felt we really had a good connection when we first met, but I wasn't impressed with the final product. I really wanted certain flowers that were not in season for my bouquet. She did the bill based on that, but then was not able to get them. I also should have been more specific in some of the other arrangements she did. I wanted red rose pomanders and instead of doing roses all around she put a lot of greenery so it ended up looking like a Christmas arrangement in the middle of summer. Not what I had in mind!!! Finally, she did some tulle bows and my family and friends had to step in and re-do them all on the wedding day. I was expecting them to be really full and pretty, but it looked like she was scrimping on the tulle and they were pretty sorry looking. I think she charged us $200 or $250 to do maybe 10 of them. And we're told that we owed them close to 200.00! They had apparently got the order wrong from the beginning. We were astonished when we arrived at our venue to find that they had appeared to have used weeds as our centerpieces. We were furious. Then I saw the flower girls baskets and petals and all of the flowers for the mother's and grandmother's were the wrong color. They were brownish peach. The colors I had requested were teal and coral. Most of the flowers barely even made it through the day without wilting. My bouquet was over $100 and it didn't even last 3 hours before the calla lilies were completely wilted. I was told they were the reason why my bouquet was so expensive from the beginning. I was able to voice my concern to lisa who said I would need to talk to cynthia and maybe I could get a store credit which is useless because I will never use their services again nor would I recommend them to anyone else. read more
