The free wifi is rather slow (there is a higher-speed, paid option available). Check-in is, oddly, located at the hotel bar so you may need to wait for the staff to finish mixing a whiskey and soda before they can give you your room key. Corridors are slightly dreary. The retro telephones inside the guest rooms, while very hip, are essentially impossible to use. UPDATE - I stayed there a second time in January 2017 and nothing has changed, it's still a great value, well-kept, and centrally located. Really, the only downside is that it's in Ipswich.

First, I have to commend them on their service. For starters, we showed up an hour early. Champagne flowed, there was a smile on every face, and the staff were clearly experts in handling our arrival! Hors d'ouvrés flowed quickly after and they were delicious! The oysters were fresh and plump and wonderful, and couldn't have been better! Once we sat, the options for dinner were unbelievable!
