They never made any effort to collect any remaining payment from me. No calls. No email. No mail. No reason for me to think I owed them money. 3 years later, I need emergency oral surgery, for which I had to wait a week for a consultation. A day before the consultation the receptionist called me and cancelled the appointment due to small unpaid debt. She was fairly rude about it in a "bless your heart" kind of way. I asked if I get it squared up with their lawyer could we keep the appointment. She said no, and that they would have to get verification that the payment was made and after that it would be the surgeons decision whether or not to accept me as a patient. I immediately called the lawyer and paid the amount. They said that they were notified and tried to reach me at an old address. They never attempted to call. They never attempted email. They said they would let Roanoke Oral Surgery know the amount was paid same day. I might be a weird edge case, but at this point, I feel like Roanoke Oral Surgery mishandled the situation and I question their administrative competence. I am going with another provider, even if I have to wait longer. 0/10 - Do not recommend.

Baylor is obnoxious and self-serving. When I moved here I had to get scripts from Dr.'s back home,…read moregetting aboard local Dr.'s took months. This conversation was had with day one. These meds were hand written next to a list of current meds from local Dr.'s. And signed by myself and an assistant. Two visits later, in a room with Baylor and his team of young boys, I was informed that I was no longer able to get any help at that office. No explanation whatsoever. Needless to say I was dumbfounded. I asked and was told I never told him about the meds. He was informed not only did we discuss it, I signed a doc with a list of all meds including those. Not true he said. I asked him if he was calling me a liar and he said yes. I was furious. Then he proceeds to leave. There was more conversation. I found another Dr., asked Blueridge for my records, over two weeks later, no records. I went there the day of my appointment and they promised to get them right over. Didn't happen. After this I called to get all my records and was told to call medicopy. I received half my records. I went back to blueridge to get my records, told they would be ready on Thursday and would call me to pick them up. No call. I went in today to get the complete list. My main objective was to get the discharge and the doc with all the meds listed and signed. Not there, don't know anything and I don't know what I'm talking about. I told the lady she and I discussed the exact docs and the conversation was recorded. She didn't like that at all. She preceded to tell me I never went to get a MRI. Huh? They gave me an order and I never went. That's not true. Another blatant lie. She was called to another room, came out with more docs. I'll be darn, she was holding the MRI docs from a MRI I never had done. Did she apologize? Hell no. Not only is Baylor a blatant liar, looks like MED records follows suit. No problem, with the phone call and docs I have, it's going straight to the Medical Board. I do not, would not and will not recommend Baylor or blue ridge pain to anyone. Go at your own risk...

Blue Ridge Pain Management Associates has failed my father at every level of care, largely due to…read morehis physician, Dr. Baylor. My father is a workers' compensation patient with a severe back injury that has left him debilitated. He is currently in constant pain and cannot stand for more than five minutes due to shooting back and leg pain. Despite worsening symptoms, the care he has received has been negligent and dismissive. The practice is nearly impossible to reach. Phone calls routinely take three or more days to be returned, and patients cannot speak to a live person when calling. For someone in severe, ongoing pain, these delays are unacceptable and harmful. Dr. Baylor spends less than 10 minutes per visit. He does not listen, does not physically examine or assess the patient, and refused to order updated X-rays even after my father explicitly requested them while reporting debilitating symptoms. This reflects a complete lack of clinical engagement. The most alarming failure occurred in December and rests entirely with Dr. Baylor. At an appointment on Tuesday, December 16, he told my father he could receive a spinal injection three days later. When my father arrived on Friday, December 19, he was turned away because he needed to be off one of his medications for five full days. There were not even five days between the visit and the procedure. This was not a scheduling issue. It was Dr. Baylor's responsibility to know medication restrictions, provide accurate instructions, and ensure his patient was eligible for the procedure he ordered. His failure caused unnecessary pain and hardship for a man who can barely stand or walk. Dr. Baylor has demonstrated an inability to provide competent care. The repeated lack of listening, absence of examination, refusal to order appropriate imaging, and failure to manage basic treatment requirements is unacceptable. I strongly caution patients, especially workers' compensation cases, to seek care elsewhere.
